update 6.1.2023 - the email provided by your incompetent agent was for a no claims discount department, I only realised when i got an automatic reply. They avoided giving me the correct information, they avoided giving me the procedure. disgusting. The actual complaints email is complaints@dialdirect.co.uk now i have sent a personal email to the wrong address, your advisors do not follow policy. Disgusting. Avoid this company, be aware of the small print when you need help from this company, they set you up on an auto renewal without your knowledge and then charge you £80 no matter what your personal circumstances are. Spoke to a very abrupt arrogant individual who showed no skills in customer service and refused to give me the procedure for making a complaint and refused to listen to my personal situation. Insurance policy cancelled and could therefore not be accessed online, i no longer have access to the email that was used to open the policy, there is no proof of written comms to me, no information given or accessible. Complaint being made to FSA and to NCD@dialdirect.co.uk avoid at all costs, there are better insurers who have better systems available and who will treat customers with a little bit of respect.. My advice it to just avoid them, they are arrogant aggressive out of touch & abrasively obnoxious to deal with.

Do not use this car insurer. They use several other companies to deal with their claims. I had an accident and needed repairs to the rear of my vehicle. This happened in October 22, it is now January 2023 and still no one has collected the car to even begin the repairs! They use enterprise rental car company as their middle man who obviously are making a fortune out Of renting replacement cars out and it’s in their interest to do that for as long as possible. All the while our (everyone’s) premiums go up. Enterprise have been useless and organising a repair company- total shambles. All companies are impossible to talk to and have 45 minute waiting times.

I have just received a letter from yourselves stating that my insurance premium will go up from £109 a month to £431! This was due to an oversight on my part where I forgot to disclose a claim that my named driver had in another vehicle not relating to this insurance. I called to take her off the policy and was told they could only reduce it to £305! Even your staff said that was extortionate! It leaves me no option but to cancel my policy and look elsewhere? I have been a loyal customer with you for over 6 years. Very disappointed

Very difficult to renew. I HAD to phone for some reason. Could NEVER get through after trying for days on end. Phone cutting off numerous times. Eventually had to use the online ‘chat box’ which are never great, but eventually got the renewal sorted, or so I thought. Then overcharged from my quote. Motor Legal cover added by Dial Direct, but never asked for. Added in error apparently. Then trying to get my money back was like pulling my teeth out with blunt pliers. Operator (on those chat boxes again) refusing to honour my quote because ‘it wasn’t the sum stated on her screen’. I couldn’t prove/send copy of quote as on the chat box, although she could see I had been charged Motor Legal insurance in error. Was then cut off from the chat before I could try and rectify the situation. Gave up at this point. Worse EVER experience I’ve had in my 64 years on this planet.

Unbelievable, renewed my insurance and a month later had to change cars. Got a quote for the newer but same spec car with with no other changes to my details with an increase of £700 premium. A compleat rip off and utter joke. Went else were and got it far cheaper.

Hi.I would like to let you know that I am not HAPPY WITH MY RENEWAL PRICE. FROM ££150 to £208 I think that is a massive rise from Last year. And to be honest I was so shocked I am finding it very hard to pay that much now. And will be actively looking for cheaper cover. Apart from this massive price rise I was really happy NOT HAPPY NOW

I am a Dial Direct Client for more than 6 years and I have been a loyal client towards this company, but they are failing me. I am not impressed with their level of service. It has been almost a month since I reported the accident, still I'm not getting any joy. I am most annoyed that I must wait for this long for them to finalize my claim. I trust this is not the way Dial Direct wishes to conduct business with valued clients. With the treatment that I have encountered from this insurer so called Dial Direct as from last month (August 2022), I would not recommend anyone due to their poor service delivery.

Customer Service in respect of processing claims is appalling. Claim still not resolved three months later and take no responsibility for the initial handling of claim - transferred to a third party who are a subcontractor of Dial Direct who incorrectly dealt with claim in first instance.

Paid early for policy or so I thought using an account I only keep low amounts of money in, a month later I get a bill of £30 or so for non payment. Theu delayed taking payment out, i thought it was already paid on the day i gave the card details so by a month down the line I had used some of the money for something else and had fone below the policy amount so my bank refused to pay it. I rang to complain that I had already paid it and was told that they had only just tried to take it out and that I had to pay the admin fee. Next year I will not renew .

7 weeks ago I was involed in an accident I was staionary waiting for traffic lights to change when a van hit me from behind shunting me into the car in front, my car was written off and I am still waiting to be paid out, this is a very stressful time I feel that I am being ignored I am a pensinor,what help is ther if you cant sort it out,not very happy.

No Fault of dial direct but the breakdown service did not happen i broke down on 21 st June 1740 , AT 23 20 was told nobody was coming . Had to get lift home the next day i was told i would get help by 09 30 At 945 i had to tell them i would sort it out myself as i was again told it would or might be 2 and half hours , poor from RAC . 15 hours and not rescued Not impressed

Since an accident on 31 Jan 2022 I am still awaiting the repair of my car, ostensibly due to the non-availability of a spare part. Over the course of the last six months I have been given numerous abortive delivery dates, the lastest of which is 24 September 2022. This is an unsupportable and ludicrous situation. Even if the part is delivered as promised (on past performance I have little confidence that it will be) that will be eight months during which I have been without my vehicle. A touted benefit of the policy : “Courtesy car whilst an approved repairer fixes your car (subject to availability)” seems not to be worth the paper it is printed on, since after six months no replacenent vehicle has been forthcoming. It appears to me that Dialdirect was happy to abrogate its responsibilities under terms of the contract being content to leave me in the hands of un unresponsive underwriter and repair organisation. I am now considering taking legal advice on this matter in an attempt to expedite a resolution.

Twice I phoned you and twice you told me payment had been accepted fine, then low and behold whilst I'm out the country on holiday you email me to contact you urgently, which I did to great expense to find that no for some unknown reason the card payment did not go through, luckily I had the same card on me whilst abroad and guess what the payment went straight through. Your customer services woman was quite rude telling me its not her fault that I'm out the country. So no I won't be using you again next year. Thankyou Sadie Marriott
