Expected Joseph at 4pm , Harold arrived at 3pm. Pleasant guy. No internet on ADSL, however phone working, needed someone to check modem functionality and connections. Harold spent time conversing with internet provider and testing alternate modems provided/ connections etc . After nearly x2 hours we still have no internet and now our POS system is dead. In worse position prior to service. Internet provider now organising Chorus to investigate. Invoice arrived promptly $253. rating X3 stars for service , x1 star for outcome

Hi Neil, Thanks for the feedback, really sorry to hear things could be fixed and your POS system fell victim to the troubleshooting processes. Will follow up with Harry and the team to see if anything more can be done - and of course if you need assistance after Chorus visit please let us know! As a result of the Geek going to an address in Greenlane when he was supposed to be in Titirangi he was 40 minutes late. However he was very apologetic and got straight to the task on arrival and a did what he could.

The tech guys were very friendly and worked hard to complete the works. A couple of points for improvement maybe. - possibly make people aware of how long you think it will take to sort the issue. Wasn't aware till I paid that 4.5hrs was ticked up. As obviously they did some work back at the office. - hand out the scratch and win and then didn't actually discount it off the bill. Change of email from a different provider seems to be working well. Thanks for the work.

The help I've had over the phone was great. The solution to the problem I asked for some one to out to help with was there from the start. Yuri however turned up and told me there were multiple issues and that to fix it quickly would re quire a purchase of a new mesh system which he uses. Sounded great, but after he left I looked into the initial proposed idea of the staff member I spoke with on the phone more and sorted it. All it required was the I use the wifi signal from my routers for different items. I did it and it works fine. So, I'm an optimist and think Yuri was sincerely doing his best and his solution would also work. However I suggest in future take a little more time to source the issue and a little less selling as at least 50% of the time was spent going over the benefits of the proposed system. My rating is based on this service and not your company as a whole as above your phone help in my opinion solved the issue 80 to 90% the last bit just wasn't helped at all with the home visit.

Technician, Christoff, was excellent. However disappointed that it cost over $400 to find that they couldn't fix the problem and it had to be returned to the vendor. Also, haven't had my laptop bag (black with red lining) returned yet.

Hi Peter, sorry it couldn't be fixed but it looks like a lot of time was spent saving your data so at least we know that's now safe after the vendor fixes the issue.

After more than 2 hrs, I am still no further ahead than when I contacted you. My surface still doesn't work on a 4k monitor, and now wont complete the upgrade. Discussed back ups but didn't resolve, as per the networking. Suggested giving you surface to reinstall windows, but no costs discussed and no guarantees. It would be more cost effective to buy a new machine.

Hi Steve, sorry to hear about this - We can have the technician get back in touch to discuss those costs and possible options - it looks like the appointment was left in progress waiting for an update to finish, I presume from this message that this didn't resolve the issue? We understand it can be frustrating when there isn't a silver bullet approach to the issues you are experiencing!

did learn a frew bits but did not get the usual as done in past general check up of computers to find and remedy found issues, only focused on my noted items which are normally done as part of that general checking. unfortunately I could not hear properly or understand all of what this young person said, as did not speak clearly or in simple language for me to fully understand without repeated comments. I found the previous person better, but realise he has left. also dissapointed the system etc did not know the difference between wilson st in waihi and wilson rd in waihi beach, they are different towns and needed to be looked at and read properly by whoever set up the appointment etc.

Not happy. Computer has no sound, can't open particular files and can't scan. Nice guy but have to get him back to do job again

Was a bit disappointed I had to wait 3 days for an available appointment. Also the technician was unable to find the exact fault with my system because my computer was running too slow for his callout diagnostics. All he could really say was there were indeed problems with the system and the recommendation was to buy a new system as mine was quite old. This I did. I think the charging model Geeks use is quite expensive. However, I thought my technician Val was very pleasant and as helpful as he could be in the circumstances.

Unsure why it took so long - the job was to reinstall Windows, and took 1.5 hours - but they had my computer for a whole week, and I had to call them for an update. Service was acceptable, my issue was resolved.

Hi Fiona, sorry to hear about the delay and lack of communication. Our workshop is swapped right now with the increased demand to do non-contact pick ups and work offsite. I do apologise for the lack of good communication however, there is no excuse for that and we will strive to do much better in future. Thanks for your feedback though!

I was happy with SeanS, but not happy with the call centre as I believe I was misinformed about costs for an upgrade to Window 10.

Your serviceman was excellent But when I booked the job I am sure I was quoted $135 Per hour + discount for being gold card holder neither occurred

The conversation I had with the call centre lead me to believe my battery could be replaced within 1-2 days and my laptop returned to me. However, it took 6 days and resulted in the technician needing to drop off my laptop on a public holiday. I am very grateful to him for doing this, but perhaps there needs to be better communication between the call centre and the technicians so that the expected time for the job is clear to the customer before they commit. The call centre also gave me the impression that the battery should be able to be replaced within the 1hr call out fee. However, I was charged this fee, plus 1.5hrs extra. Again, the call centre set an expectation that was not met. Perhaps there can be improved knowledge articles regarding common thin gs like battery replacements that the call centre can refer to.

Wasn't sure how confident the tech was as he phoned his manager for info. Seemed to use same screen several times.
