“Great bed. Really sturdy and looks fabulous. However instructions for assembly really bad and took us nearly 2.5h to put together. (No mention on website that an electric screwdriver may be helpful) Ordering and delivery all as suggested.”

“Assembly was surprisingly straightforward for one person though the slat assembly of bed and storage box would have been easier with two. Quality of components was high and everything fitted together correctly. Very pleased with the final result.”

“Overall bed was easy to put together. There was a slight split in the wood which hadn't gone all the way through and some of the slats were difficult to align. However, overall I am pleased and I am assured by the reviews that if anything should go wrong then it will be rectified. Delivery was good and phone call beforehand. I would have had bed put together but that service was not available in my area.”

“Ordering was simple and when I called to change the delivery day, service was really good. Unfortunately, the full white glove service wasn't available in Cornwall, so I had a carpenter friend help put the bed and drawers together. I ordered a 4ft bed and 4 storage drawers having made various phone calls to Get Laid Beds customer service where I was told that 4 drawers wouldn't fit under a 4ft bed (despite the measurements suggesting otherwise, although these were also incorrectly printed on the web site). I went ahead and ordered 4 drawers anyway and they fit perfectly well with space to spare, so I find it odd that staff don't know their own products. The instructions for putting the bed together could have been clearer. The headboard was difficult to assemble due to it not having pre-drilled holes for the screws and the wood kept slipping. Putting the drawers together was even more difficult, getting the wood slats to fit was really very hard for two of the drawers and they had to be forced to fit. Also, the 30ml screws (which were missing altogether from one pack) were too long for the job they were intended for and one came through the front of the drawer. Fortunately, that side of the bed is against a wall so wasn't too much of a disaster, but we didn't use those screws for the other drawers, instead I found some that were a better fit. Given the high cost of these items, I don't think they are good value for money.”

“The only reason why I have decided to give 4 stars and not 5 is because for the pictures we saw on the website we expected the ottoman bed to come with a white floor base which then was not included. Apart from this, we love our new bed, how robust and unique it is and worth every penny. Additionally, we loved the "White glove service" provided by Dan & Pete who even removed their shoes before going upstairs and treat my partner so politely, thanks very much X”

“Putting together and buying my bed was very easy. There is a lot of choice and I was able to have my choice of bed frame paired with ectronically adjustable slats. Unfortunately the 'white glove' service is not available in my area so I had to arrange for various friends to come and do all the work for me.”

“The beds were of good quality. It arrived on the date specified. This is the third time we are buying beds and mattresses from your site. However this time we purchased Ottoman bed frame, it is not clear on your website that there is no under cover for the bed frame and it just lies open on the floor. your website shows some pillows and therefore we assumed that there will be something underneath like a wooden board to cover it. We have to use a sheet or Duvet cover underneath to store our pillows and other stuff. It will be good if you metion on your website that there is no under cover for Ottoman bed frames”

“Nice bed quickly delivered, considering it is "custom made". Only problem was the notification for the delivery slot was sent out at 04:05 AM for a delivery slot of 7 to 9 AM the same morning, it was actually delivered just after 10 AM, so I could have got up an hour later!”

“The Customer Service and Support was 10 out of 10. Very quick in getting back to you no matter the ways of communication. Tried the live chat as well as email and both were helpful and quick to get back to me with the answer to the help I needed. The assembly team was also on point. Very kind, punctual, fast and clean. The Bed need a bit more attention than I was expecting to give concerning the opening and closing of the Ottoman. But the material and finish are as beautiful as I was expecting.”

“Bed looks lovely, we had a few problems installing it - the middle plank was too long but luckily we had the equipment to cut it. And the screws that go inside the hardwood frame of the bed were too short - but we had longer ones in the tool box. Make sure you have a power drill to install. Apart from that everything looks lovely and very comfortable.”

“The bed is a good quality product but the clarity of the assembly instructions was very poor. It didn't help that there were stickers on the components that did not seem to relate to the assembly. I assume they are related to the company's production process. It also took a lot of work to assemble the bed, requiring a mallet and quite a bit of brute force, which I think a lot of people might struggle with.”

“We had two beds and mattresses delivered and paid for the white glove assembly service. Communications were good throughout the process and the guys arrived within the time window. We were somewhat taken aback that the delivery and assembly service apparently didn't include carrying the beds and mattresses upstairs to assemble in the bedrooms. Luckily we had our builder there to help us carry them up, otherwise we'd have been at a bit of an impasse as it would be pointless assembling them in the lounge! I'm not sure this is in small print that I didn't read or if the delivery guys were pulling a fast one?”

“Overall a good service and product. Though if you don’t have a good powerful screwdriver (I was manual) I’d suggest paying to have them build the bed. I had to re drill a few holes that hadn’t been fully drilled and in hard wood, screws don’t like to just go in. A few blisters later it was built. It’s a solid good bed and the service and delivery times were as they as.”

“The bed seems good quality, instructions are poor for the storage boxes and say things are labled and they are not l, creating a lot of faffing about. Due to the length of the storage box (full length) it flexes when pulled and all the slats fall out. Maybe it’s because we put the biscits even end and not in the centre but the manual didn't say this. Frustrating to say the least it”

“Amazing and sturdy bed which does not creek at all but the assembly was so hard and time consuming as the holes for the screws aren’t drilled in all the way so screwing in screws (even with an electric drill) is very hard nonetheless the bed is amazing”

“Material is absolutely brilliant,very good instructions easy to follow.Unfortunately 2 screw holes didn't line up ,therefore my husband needed to drill some extra holes.If that wouldn't have happened,I would have given 5 stars. The matress is very comfortable.I definitely will use this company again. Our son recommended this company ,as he a got a bed from them too. Excellent service and the delivery was excellent too.”

“Bed is brilliantly constructed, good quality materials. Instructions clear, extra screws included. Excellent and comfy bed. Downside was that I only found out at checkout that the advertised "white glove and assembly service" and even getting the bed and mattress into the right room ("white glove" only) is not available north of the border, or even in some parts of England. It was one of the reasons I went with Get Laid in the first place as that information was displayed in the "delivery" information and I would have happily paid for it, by the time we had decided on a bed committed to it, we then found out at checkout that we couldn't have the bed constructed for us. Since we don't have an electric screwdriver, the "35 min" for assembly were more like 3 hours, so bear that in mind. Still, we do like the bed a lot - just keep in mind that the delivery info might not apply to you!!”
