“Put my car in for its MOT at Halfords Oxford (autoparts) and was very anxious about being a woman and maybe getting ripped off. Was very pleased with service and cost efficient repair before getting my pass certificate. Was worried about rip off prices and fabricated problems but all seemed well!”

“Purchased online - got delivered and found it to have a broken spoke. I don't live close to a store so I sent an email - got ignored, sent two more and finally got a reply. Its been over a week and after spending 3 days waiting for a courier to collect faulty wheel I am told that they have to collect the whole bike and I have to package it up. I no longer have the packaging as I was never told the bike had to be returned not just the wheel. I still have a bike and not able to use it. I am now told by the more than useless customer service I have to return the bike to a not very close store to get it resolved. This bike was poor quality but the customer service was the worse I've ever had. I will never purchase anything from Halfords or recommend them to anyone”

“I went to halfords in sunderland for a wheel service and a spoke replacement. The spoke they fitted was a different colour to the rest and snapped on my next ride out. No pride in thier job the bike mechanic didnt even know the names of certain parts! Then they charged me £26 pound for a 50p part. Stay away, support your local bike store it will be a lot cheaper and the job will be done right.”

“Accidentally bought the wrong car radio from the Greenock store and went back in to ask if I could change it or if I would just have to buy another one and, I believe the girl's name was Debbie, was ever so helpful. It wasn't a bother to her at all. Had it all changed over in 10 minutes. Very pleased with the service!”

“Bought a bike from Brynmawr store. Had the chain snap on me took it back to get it fixed and FairPlay a young man called Taylor had it all done within 15 minutes the young man is a credit to your store!”

“Rude, ignorant staff at Kirkstall Leeds branch. I appreciate staff serve customers (well, sort of) but 2 different members of staff saw me waiting for assistance, neither of them acknowledged me, apologised for the delay or anything at all, they walked straight passed me, a few times! Then the 3rd one, came onto the till, asks who is next, at which point I asked where I can find car reverse sensors. He repeated it twice, looked at me as if I was stupid and said 'we don't do them.' Again, no apology and just arrogant. I used to shop here but never again. Just because I am female does not mean I know what I'm doing! Very annoyed. Customer service here is terrible.”

“Bought sons bike in December and received good service. Went back in to store (netherfield, nottingham) last week to get tyre pumped up and staff especially Brian was so helpful and even let my 3 year old son 'help' pump. Excellent service.”

“Bought a headlight bulb for my peugeot 307. till 053. tran 156153. Time 12.18. I paid £9.99 for this buld, i feel completely ripped off. I have just replaced the other side headlight bulb for £1.79 from euro car parts I await your comment. John.”
