Uber charges more then the already fixed rate

Returning home from airport. Uber quoted me prices on my phone... I selected the car via the price. Lady driver was fine, gave her a big tip. The next day I was going through my computer and see a NEW Bill from Uber for my ride. It was over $10. dollars more than the quote. Cost me $63. to go 10 miles. The original phone quote was $44.33. There is no way to even contact anyone about their adding of surcharges, booking fees, airport charge, sales tax etc. You are just screwed. They knew I was at an airport that's one dishonest add on.

called 10-15 times about my preference doesn't show comfort as options, no one can help me with that they keep repeat my problem and try to confirm with me and come back say they can do anything.

How do I hate thee Uber. Let me count the ways: 1. When reviewing activities, found a restaurant charge I didn’t make. Not only do I not use Uber Eats, I don’t patronize that restaurant. Unfortunately the charge was over 2 months old. (Didn’t catch it on my credit card statement). Uber refused to refund me. 2. Now I review activities frequently which is how I caught two more bogus charges on my bank statement approximately 2 years after #1. Someone charged rides to my debit card. I rarely use my debit card for ANY transactions so it isn’t tied to my Uber account. Since the charges came right after I completed a transaction using my debit card, I suspect a vendor employee stole the information. What is interesting is that Uber must not have gotten the CVV code when the account was opened. I’ve since read complaints that Uber doesn’t verify account information. 3. Uber indicated the car was 16 minutes away. That time never changed. After 15 minutes I cancelled the ride and had to pay 3 euros for that. 4. Our scheduled ride to the airport literally cancelled about 10 minutes before it was due. The scheduled time was 4am. It was a mad scramble to get transportation. Uber did give me a $50 credit but that was hardly compensation for the circumstances.

This app is absolutely RIDICULOUS. The prices are always TOO high and drivers are never around. When the app was first created it was meant to give you a faster and cheaper way to travel compared to taxis. This app is now a complete joke drivers will cancel 2 minutes before arriving to your stop, and then when you try to reorder another Uber the price doubles. Might as well get rid of the app completely at this point getting a taxi is cheaper and more efficient.

Uber out sources your money complaints to another company and it takes 1-2 weeks to get back that you worked for. In other words, if you work for Uber and Uber canceled your account because of their issues you cannot contact anybody to resolve your issue. You have to wait to one or two weeks for the third-party company to get back with you. In the meantime they have taken the money that you have worked for.

THE WORST!!!! I WAS TRANSFERRED 5 TIMES FROM ONE WRONG DEPARTMENT TO THE OTHER. THE FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVES DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!!! UBER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONE EXISTENT!!!!!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered through the McDonald’s app and the app told me that the driver was close by so I went downstairs to see if her was there. There was no one there. The app gave me a contact number for the driver so I tried to call it but the automated voice message said that my number had been blocked. I called uber support and they said if the food didn’t arrive shortly to call back. I waited outside for 10 more minutes then called back. The uber ‘support’ person told me that the driver had tried contacting me and waited outside but I never responded. I explained that this was untrue and that I had in fact tried to call the driver but that he had blocked my number. I was refused a refund even though my order was never delivered because ‘the driver had followed the policy’. I asked to speak to a manager and got through to someone called Kazim Ali who was very patronising and also refused to refund my order. I asked for evidence that the driver was outside (because I was outside and know for a fact that the driver was not), but he was unable to provide me with any information that wasn’t set out in his script. I asked to escalate the matter because I have paid for an order that has not been delivered and was being refused my money back which is a contravention to the consumer rights act. Mr Ali told me that there was no one higher than him and that I couldn’t do anything further. It is beyond belief that uber can unilaterally decide to fail to fulfill a contract, refuse a refund, provide no evidence that what they are telling you is true and tell you that you just have to live with it. Boycotting uber for their appalling customer service and theft. I will be making a formal complain to their ombudsman but I would strongly advise using uber for any food delivery service as not only will you not receive your food, but you will also not receive a refund.

Absolutely abysmal. Will do anything and throw out any excuse to get out of helping you for even the most valid of complaints. The worst customer service I've ever encountered, from a $145B company. What a joke.

I had to hitchhike home. Their business model is not to offer any customer support, just driver support. When your rides don’t arrive or ditch you, you have no recourse…except you still get charged by the drivers that canceled your trip.

I was double charged for a ride on March 29. Asked Uber to investigate. Uber said they had no record to support my complaint. If Uber makes a mistake and you want their support to fix it, forget it.

I requested a ride while I was at Cape Town in South Africa last week,the driver came up,while i was looking at the white Toyota corolla ,I made a sign to the driver who didn't even look at me and fled.I was charged a cancellation fee.Uber Company or the drivers are ripping off people that way.It happened 3 time, equal 3 charges.

Impossible to get to a human being to talk with about fraudulent activity through Uber eats. Never have used eats. Loved Uber Rides but had to delete my account because I had my account hacked and was charged on my debit card because I lost my wallet. So sad I can't fix this issue.

Car wreaked with cigarette smoke - he said his cousin smokes & uses his car! It was a 50 mile ride -nearly made us sick He closed windows & ran a/c which was even worse recirculating all that rotten air - plus I’d had lung cancer surgery which made it extremely uncomfortable. He was pleasant though and kind.

I have emailed and phoned customer services. Totally unwilling to help & are extremely unreasonable & unhelpful. I cannot add my phone number as “it’s in use” BY WHOM??? Being asked questions re my account, and won’t believe when I’m looking at my account that the sections are blank! No way to send a screen shot. Said well sorry they can’t help….

Uber app sent my driver to another location. When I sent the driver my address, he cancelled my ride and I got charged a cancellation fee. I think this is inappropriate. I have always had good experiences with Uber. This left me with a sour taste. Customer service does not want to participate in keeping a long time customer happy.

Uber has no human support. They do not investigate corrupt drivers. They don't answer in a timely manner. They deserve a boycott and to shut down bankrupt.
