“The Good: The new laptop is brilliant, it arrived earlier than expected and they gave me £97 for my old laptop. The Bad: Communication is shockingly bad and they charge 13p minute for customer service calls which never got through to an agent. There is no live chat and they only actually answered one of my 4 e-message attempts.The laptop I exchanged ‘disappeared’, which I chased and a voucher was subsequently generated, no associated comms. Applying the voucher, as there was no online facility to apply it, I had to call them and they promised to sort it... they didn’t! Another later e-message saw the £97 appear in my account.... again no comms! I e-messaged them again to obtain an invoice showing the exchange amount.... still nothing. Nothing is more frustrating than bad communication. At least I have my new laptop with which I am very pleased.”

“I ordered Nas box & 2 Nas hard disks with rpxress delivery. The box arrived on time . The hard drives had a delay of one day and due to laptops direct settings , I was not able to change the delivery address. Still after 10 days the hard disks are not delivered. I called help desk and the main answer was I cant help you ,I can't help you. They suggested to refuse delivery when the driver deliver the parcel. But I can't even do that because still DHL has not deliver it. The result is I had a system sitting idle for more than 10 days and Laptop directs answer is I can't help you. I am not going to buy anything else from this site.”

“The prices were competitive. The response to the purchase was prompt. The Laptop was delivered within a couple of days. Much less time than originally quoted. The laptop arrived well packed. The delivery company contacted me beforehand to let me know when the delivery would be. I had no reason to contact Customer Service and have no need on this occasion to use their returns service.”

“Ordered a refurbished laptop (27th August) that was stated as having the highest refurbished grade, A1. I had the laptop for a total of a day and a half before it crashed and wouldn't turn back on; obviously a driver problem. Spoke to customer services and they told me I had to return it to them. Did that, the same day, they received it two days later. After waiting a week, I was emailed several times first saying they were sending a replacement out and then stating they didn't have another and that I'd be contacted within 2 days (not two WORKING days, just two days). On the fourth day I finally received an email with a number I had to call because apparently they'd been trying to contact me unsuccessfully (despite my phone having no missed calls). I spent an hour trying to reach anyone using the number and when I did get through, the man on the other end was completely unsympathetic, didn't once apologise for any inconvenience and wasn't interested in what I had to say at all. I asked for a full refund and was told it would be with me in 3-5 working days. Will never order anything from them again, the customer service lines were expensive and hold times were ridiculous. 1/5 stars only because I got my money back eventually. Edit: 25/09/2019 - Had to ring customer services YET AGAIN, because I received an email saying another replacement request had been put in and I'd be hearing from the sales team in another two days. Rang up, the guy on the other end of the phone said that the sales team had put in another request and he 'didn't know why they'd done that'. I do, it's because they're clearly incompetent at their jobs. After I doubled checked that it was definitely cancelled and I was still getting my refund, I was quickly dismissed with a quick 'thanks, bye now'. Utter JOKE.”

“Come across Laptops Direct whilst searching for a new mobile phone. Laptops Direct came up £50 cheaper than their nearest rival Amazon for a a Huawei P20 Pro. I was sceptical by the big price difference and having not heard of them before and previously been caught by foreign sites posing as UK sites selling goods way below price only to wait ages for the item to arrive from abroad and then get stung by custom import charges. However I'm happy to say that Laptops Direct went way beyond my expectations on on price and service. I ordered my phone in the evening and it arrived just after lunch the very next day and they used DPD to deliver my phone which was a big plus for me. On my first time experience with Laptops Direct I can not rate them highly enough they will definitely be first choice next time around.”
