Really poor as received laptop that had not been formatted and had crypto currency mining software installed. It also had all sorts of other software which had no reason to be there. As a minimum they should be formatting the hard drive and allow the customer to set the laptop as themselves. Very poor that the laptop had mining software hidden.

Absolute joke of a company. Sold me a laptop in April of this year and after the purchase was contacted by Craig Bomttomley of the sales team, who offered to sell me a one year warranty. I contacted him several times wishing to take this offer up and received no response. Almost predictably the laptop has a fault and because no warranty was successfully purchased, they will do nothing to fix the fault. Of course, calling the repair team has you on hold for fifteen minutes at the cost of 13p per minute whilst looking to speak to the sales team takes you straight through, showing that once again they are a company keen to make a quick buck with no interest in looking for returning customers. Quoting EU law at them has no effect on their performance either. The European Directive 1999/44/EC says all EU countries have to ensure a retailer could be held liable for all "non-conformities" which manifest within two years from delivery. Thereby, the retailer should help me with this issue. Instead they have flouted the law, charged me to call them and showed no interest in helping. A pathetic company which with any luck will go under.

I paid a premium for 24 hour delivery. Delivery took 7 days. Dispatch was rapid but the delivery company emailed at the end of day 1 to say they could not deliver. I emailed Laptops Direct to ask for a refund of my delivery premium. 2 days later I got an email to say that my email had been received and thye would get to me in working hours. Next day I got an email saying that my emails had been lost from their system and could I go to their website to report it again. So far 4 days later I have received no answer from Laptops Direct.

I paid a premium of £9.99 for overnight delivery. Delivery took 7 days. i sent 2 emails asking for a refund of my£9.99 since the product had not delivered in 24 hours. Laptops Direct's system then took 48 hours to say it had lost my emails. It asked me to state the problem on your website which I did - and 5 days on I have had no reply. This is poor service.

Purchased a Macbook Pro and when received the keyboard and touch board were disconnected / not working. I contacted Apple directly to see if they had any advice for trouble shooting and after running through all with them the issue still remained and they recommended it be sent back. After sending the laptop back and receiving the new one it had the same problem. The customer service for Laptop Directs is very unhelpful and with this issue happening twice it shows the bad quality control in place by Laptops Direct before sending products out!!! Highly reccomend shopping elsewhere and I won't be purchasing again from them!

No presents for my children because of sharp practices. This company don't deserve to be in business. Ordered 2 high end PC's with monitors in a bundle, they didn't honour delivery date and I emailed and rang 3 times to ensure delivery would be made, all fine according to their staff. Then I get an email telling me there was a problem (3 days after promised delivery date) telling me there's an issue, their supplier has a problem. Absolute rubbish, I pointed out they were still selling it on their website - at £150/bundle more. My kids are now without main Christmas presents due to this company's sharp practices.

Ordered a £600 computer during black friday. Day after I ordered the page had been re-written as a worse computer worth £500. I was sent this worse computer despite ordering the more expensive, better version, and was still charged £600. Upon bringing this to the seller's attention I was giving rude customer service, told the mistake was my fault, and offered either £50 off (less than the difference) or told to return it myself for a refund. TL:DR - Ordered a computer, got the wrong computer, got called stupid by customer services. Save yourself the bother

I wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering. Purchased a new Lenovo laptop (£900), arrived next day as requested, so a decent start. Opened up the package and the laptop was white, not black as shown, again, not a major issue. The problems started on power up, where it would constantly blue-screen. Eventually got through to customer service and advised to speak to Lenovo tech support. Spoke to Lenovo tech support who advised to factory default it (it was new out of the box!) and then said install all the windows and lenovo updates (try doing that between blue screens), which took all day. Within 5 minutes of completing that it blue screened again. Went back to LD customer support who then took some notes and advised that a case management member would be in touch within 36 hours to advise on the next steps. I explained that this wasn't acceptable on a new item (distance selling regs etc.), but got nowhere and the fact it was a business laptop, 36 hours would take us into the weekend. Got into the office this morning to an email on how it will take upto 48 hours for them to be in touch and IF they take it back it will take an engineer 2-5 days to inspect it and upto 28 days for a refund if granted. What an absolute joke this lot are, I would advise people to stay clear of them and I would never think of using them again. I've now raised it with my credit card company to intervene. Fingers crossed.

BUYERS BEWARE: Laptops Direct / BuyitDirect / Direct Tvs / AppliancesDirect/ DronesDirect – they use 0871 PREMIUM NUMBER at minimum for their Sales / General enquires / information - expect to be charged hefty amount on your bills. Modern day fraud – can’t believe they are getting away with it! If you are being robbed even before buying, then what do you expect their after care to be!

I was monitoring the price of a laptop computer for 4 weeks prior to black Friday sales. Checked the website, price hasn't changed but red flash in the product description states " save %". Phoned the sales line, to enquire if the reduction would be applied to the price quoted. Sales team not interested, wouldn't pass the call onto customer services, said it was the IT team who updated the website. No reduction would be applied to the laptop and I was informed that laptops would never go in a sale. Sales rep only interested in the sale (I was actually going to buy 2 laptops for Christmas) not in the potential customer. Overall interaction with this company disappointing, will stick to trusted retailers in future.

I have been ordering items from the web for over 15 years and with laptops direct I have never seen customer service as bad as this. My product was supposed to come with a free AAA game promoting but I did not recieve anything. I had to really press their customer service after being frequently ignored.

Laptops Direct are quick to take your money but should you need customer service then at that point you will get the run around, excuses, and the kitchen sink in order to not give you a refund. They delivered a defective computer i.e. stone cold dead. It was returned (to their supplier - they don't actually have ANY computers in stock, they simply pass the order on to any number of 3rd parties) and accepted as being faulty, yet tit took over a month to get my money back. If you check out their reviews on here and other review sites you will be shocked by how many people have similar experiences of their truly awful, duplicitous customer service

I've contacted Laptopdirect for buying few laptops for our company. The Staff was unfriendly and had an attitude like if you want to buy you buy otherwise go away. That was really annoying to me. So the concerned authority please train your staff to behave properly otherwise you will lose your customers. Thank you Godson

order a laptop with a very specific date it was required by as off travelling, paid for the express delivery a week past and its still awaiting dispatch, e-mail every day and advised its just come into stock, is being prepared, still no luck - I cancel the order and have now been told its been dispatched! will take 3 days for the courier to return it, 3 days for them to process it, and 5 days to arrange a refund. I have never wrote a review on a company before but my experience so far has been horrendous, and I will never ever buy or reccomed anyone deal with this company - read the reviews buyer beware - wish i had!

Ordered a Laptop, got sent a computer mouse - contacted customer service who said they would TRY to call me back within 2 days! ... and until they had completed their investigation I would not get a refund. Shocking attitude of customer services and no interest in following the Distance Selling Regs - avoid these people at all costs

I bought a laptop from them, it was sold with certain specifications - the laptop I received did not have the hard ware in it as advertised. I approached them about it and they would not allow me to return the item or even understand they were at fault. I had to spend a further £15 on calls to them too. Do not trust them at all - they do not sell you the item they're advertising or selling for. The laptop I paid for was £250 more than it should have been, based on the hard ware, and I did not receive this.

I have had a very bad experience buying from Laptops Direct. The laptop I received had a HP onscreen WARRANTY STARTED 10 MONTHS PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE, which left me less than 3 months HP warranty, even though this was a brand new laptop (1 years warranty), so in my opinion this points to a strong suggestion of the laptop being a second-hand laptop. My laptop also had a fault with the Windows software making the laptop not fit for purpose. They said software was not covered under the warranty even though Windows is sold with the laptop. I asked for a refund within the 14 days which was ignored, they then replied after this time had expired to say it’s too late for a refund, they could offer a repair only and that it would take 2 months to repair if returned to them. They told me to do a factory reset (I suspect a number of customers wouldn't know how to do this), I had little option so tried, the outcome was the resets failed. I am now in contact with trading standards, citizens advice, and if all fails will end up in small claims court. My experience has shown their customer service give the sense of stringing you along with IMO unhelpful emails which also includes receiving replies from a different employee where you then have to restart the process of explaining the problem again etc.. THIS COMPANY I UNDERSTAND IS PART OF THE BUY IT DIRECT GROUP.
