“Not really much to say, ordered my laptop which they said was in stock. It arrived on time and was exactly what it was supposed to be. The price was at least a £200 cheaper than any laptop I could find of similar spec, and was £300 cheaper than the manufacturers rrp.”

“Ordered a Lenovo Duet Chromebook from Laptops Direct as it was the best price on the day. Payment online came back as 'ERROR' and was not accepted, so I made an immediate call to Laptops Direct who took the order and payment over the telephone. Checks were made to ensure that the original online payment had not been received and only one order would be processed. The Chromebook arrived the following day, as promised, in perfect condition. The Lenovo Duet is brilliant and lives up to the excellent reviews seen on the internet. A big thank you to The Laptops Direct Team”

“Ordered an ultra wide screen monitor, delivery with laptops direct are always quick as next day. there was a slight delay at the warehouse and arrived a day later on the saturday instead with a refund of delivery cost. Very happy with the service response time also.”

“Ordered my Lenovo laptop on Bank holiday Sunday and despite being told it would not be delivered the earliest the following Tuesday it actually arrived on Bank holiday Monday. Excellent service. Very pleased.”

“I have used Laptops Direct before and have been very happy. On this occasion decided to buy a 'refurbished' laptop. Their description of A2 grading suggests minor cosmetic damage so I thought why pay more? I rang up to ask if I could look at PC before buying and was told to go to Huddersfield store - I said this is closed according to the website but was assured it was actually open. For some reason I rang back and was told that the store was actually shut so I decided it was safer to make the purchase online but pick up the laptop in person at the Elland site. I picked up the PC and unboxed it in the car park to find a deep 6cm scratch on the screen. I took it back in and questioned whether they thought a large screen scratch was minor cosmetic damage and they said .... Yes, you want to see what A3 looks like 'smashed casings etc'. There was no problem at all accepting the PC back and I decided to buy the same laptop but graded A1 instead. This machine was perfect, it had a full set of accessories (despite the item's description) and works perfectly. The manufacturer has also accepted 6 months left out of a 12 month warranty. So I am a happy buyer but I advise you to be wary about anything less than A1 grading.”

“I ignored the negative reviews on Trustpilot because, overall, Laptops Direct had a 'Great' 4-star rating. After my experience dealing with them, however, I have reason to believe that the positive reviews on Trustpilot are fake (written by the company employees) in an attempt to cancel out the sheer volume of complaints. I have actually reported Laptops Direct to Trading Standards because of how badly they've handled my order. They took my money immediately and then just kept failing to dispatch the item. I was told time and time again (when I complained to customer services) that the phone had been dispatched and that I would be receiving it 'the following day'. Two weeks and four complaints later, they told me the phone was out of stock (the same day they'd told me for the fourth time, that they were sending another one out to me). The LaptopsDirect website, however, says that the phone is not out of stock! It says that the item is very much IN STOCK. So either their customer service team is misleading people or their website is. One thing is for sure, whoever next buys the phone is going to have the same two week experience I have had! When I questioned customer service about the contradicting stock information, they ignored me. They offered nothing more than their generic apologies for any inconvenience caused. I have finally given up with them and requested a full refund. Whether I get one or not, still remains to be seen. The only thing I know for certain about Laptops Direct is that they cannot refund my time. I strongly advise buyers to shop elsewhere. It won't end well. I ended up buying my new phone from Carphone Warehouse (for the exact same price). It arrived the next day for free and I am writing this review on it.”
