I have used the airport twice in recent weeks. First week l used the flying hippo restaurant and it was appalling. Food cold, quality poor, choice terrible and staff that just didn’t want to be there. Second week 8 o’clock sat evening and everything closed except boots and one of the bars half the seating areas closed off as well as most of the toilet facilities had to queue to use gents toilets. Best airport in the North obviously didn’t visit for long. Baggage claim still takes the longest Inhave ever experienced in the world.

I wasn't allowed off the car par although I had pre-paid. I then went in to the office to be told that I had booked the wrong dates. With a second person having a good laugh. Luckily I had brought my paperwork and was able to prove that it was the car parking companies mistake. If I hadn't had my paperwork I would not have been allowed to leave. This also added 25 minutes, late at night when I wanted to be on the road home.

Once again we were refused exit by putting ticket into barrier, we had to press for help and once again waiting for assistance we have used your parking 5 times this year. We thought the idea of prepayment was to exit the car park without any problems. You asked us to give your car park another try but as i have said it failed again so could you give me an idea what we have to do to exit without having problems every time we use your car park.

Ticket was paid for in advance £33.99 + £1.00 sms message. On exit ticket was not accepted. Pressed for help and after 3 further attempts the staff then raised the barrier as ticket still wasn't recognised.

Another bad experience (even worse than last month). On entry no number plate recognition again. Pressed help button and staff member said "is it a private registration" to which I answered "Yes" and he said "that's probably the problem" so just press for help on exit!. On exit at 10.30 p.m. after flying for over 14 hours staff member could not find my booking even though I repeated the registration twice and then he said he could not let me out until I found my booking reference. Shocking - sort your car park and process out

When we landed and we’re leaving our gate card was rejected and I was told I owed £93 for a service I pre paid for. This misunderstanding was due to your registration recognition system not working prowprly

On arrival we parked the car and made our way to the nearest bus stop to find that the call point for the bus was not working so we had to walk to the terminal building.

Dreadful road surface for pulling suitcases No clear signs No buses to transport Had to park at furthest point despite nearer car parks being empty but couldn’t enter as said full

We arrived into Newcastle at midnight, had to queue with several other flights for the mere 3 people on checking passports. I pre-paid my parking yet couldn't get out so had to ring the operator in order to get out without paying an additional £141 that came up on the screen. A disorganised airport in many ways.

Unable to get out of the car park as the machine would not accept the ticket to release the barrier. No one came to help me even though it was camera monitored. Took over 20 mins to sort it. Staff in the office were very ignorant too.

Paid roughly £60 for a week stay at Newcastle airport, decided to go with the meet and greet service as we were pushed for time and sounded perfect for our needs. Supposedly a member of staff will be waiting to greet you, check over your vehicle and proceed to park your vehicle allowing us to go straight into the terminal. No such thing. Likewise with the return journey, no such thing. Selling the service as a meet and greet is basically a con. A lesson learnt.

Struggled to find a parking space, cars were even parked on the access roads. On returning a van had parked so close to my car that I could not open the drivers door. This is disgusting when you pay so much for secure parking and return to find paintwork damaged leading to expensive bodywork repair. I would rather pay for an expensive taxi than book this car park again, as it would end up a lot cheaper.

My car got badly scraped when parked for a week in the long stay whilst away on a work trip. After contacting the parking company, they made no effort to look into the issue and refused to help, ignoring my emails when i advised that wasn't good enough an answer. Very poor service, very poor security and very unhelpful staff. All in all, very bad, avoid at all costs.

Totally outrageous that a coach bringing people to use the airport,that they have already paid for, in the cost of their flight, have to pay just to be dropped off.

the last two times I have used the medium stay car park I have been unable to exit and had to get out my car and go to the office and show my documents to sort it out . not happy when all you want to do is go home 😟
