I booked flights in March and took out the cancel for any reason insurance. I cancelled my flights on the 3/3/20. Was advised refund would be issued in 10 days. Have spent in excess of 40 hours on the phone with them abs many failed promises of supervisor to call back and emails stating that me email will arrive in 72 hours. 60 days later I am no closer to a refund. The customer service is terrible, different advice each time. I have logged 8 complaints on the portal and not a single one has been acknowledged. Would never book with Opodo or recommend any one to.

very hard to deal with happy to take your money ,but will not return it , do not trust this company they give every excuse you can imagine and should not be allowed to trade

I have had the misfortune of booking easyjet return flights to Berlin with Opodo which were cancelled at the 11th hour by Easyjet. Eventually getting through on the telephone to Opodo I was told politely that I needed to contact Easyjet myself which was almost impossible at the time due to the virus situation. After hours spent on telephone and internet with no result from Opodo, I have now got in touch with Easyjet and within 2 hours have got a voucher for my flights. By law Opodo should have given me a refund in full. I note that Opodo commission for these flights was in excess of £50 for doing what, nothing. I would never use Opodo again, service is appalling.

DO NOT USE OPODO. I'VE BEEN WAITING 77 DAYS AND COUNTING FOR A REFUND OF £2000. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT, AS YOU'RE ON HOLD FOR HOURS, IF YOU DO GET TO TALK TO SOMEONE THEY WILL CUT YOU OFF IF YOU MENTION A REFUND. TOTALLY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR, THIS COMPANY IS APPALLING AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO HOLD ON TO YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW, AS REFUNDS SHOULD BE PROCESSED WITHIN 14 DAYS. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVING SCUMBAGS.

Delaying refunds deliberately!!! And kip trying to push a voucher even trought refund request was made. Not professional and I will never use opodo again!!

I have booked flights through Opodo, they are asking me to press " I Do " to let them act on my behalf with regards to getting a refund. Do I do that ???.

Hi I had booked a tui Thompson airways flight through opodo and contacted them on numerous occasions by email and phone to check if my flight was running as all looked ok with it both ok your portal as well as tui s was allowing me to add extra bag or even check in on or even up to when I got to the airport and asking me to get ready and go to airport. Opodo emails were urging me to hire a car and hotel in agadir. As discussed on last sunday i am 57 year old asian man suffering from blood pressure and therefore at a high risk according to Apollo and other online sites. I had been staying for a month in Leicester at 23 Saxby street as my area in lambeth had severe pandemic almost worst in London. The young 13 year old boy who died lived near me. mywife and children are in Morocco so I wanted to go there to be united with them but only if flight was running. As I was told by opodo that flight was running and everything indicated that including yourself , your site and tui site that it was running I took last train from Leicester via Peterborough to London after speaking to you and then long walk from train station to bus stop as I could not take underground due to my condition and risk and then bus to my flat in Brixton on Sunday night. Again on Monday 20 th April morning I kept on checking whilst getting ready .opodo and tui website and all looked good so I packed my things and went to Gatwick airport . Taxi driver told me that north terminal was closed and tui and other airlines were running from south. When I got to south terminal. I checked with various people including information desk who checked and said it was not running. Only ryanair flight to Ireland and another Minsk were running.But when I showed them your site and tui site on my phone allowing me to check in and add luggage they were surprised that no notification was issued to me nor cancellation made clear on website. I have kept receipts and took screenshots of your site and tui site as well as airport. I have not been well since coming back and was worried about Corona but now feel better. I had spend my train fare from Leicester to London, bus fare on Sunday then i used car part way and taxi fare to airport and then bus to my car and my car back to Brixton. I have put myself at risk by taking 2 trains from Leicester to Peterborough then London then bus then to SW9 7et Brixton Lambeth then airport and back. I had also put people in London at risk unnecessarily. I asked them if they could review and refund me for my booking in cash and only about £100 of associated costs but I was hung up on phone and told to contact tui although my contract is with opodo . It's been 6 weeks since I put in a request for a refund... My flight was stopped due to travel restrictions and Ethihad said you must refund me. However, you send me around in circles. I have followed all your instructions but alas, you have yet to refund me. You are ignoring my messages and I have used all the right channels, but to no avail. How about sticking to the law and refunding your customers within 14 days??? Can you do that??? I realise you have been inundated with requests, but come on, it's been 45 days, surely one soul in customer care knows which buttons to press to refund your lovely customers??? My ticket number is 1496121. Please deal with this issue as soon as possible because I am in desperate financial need. And you're illegally hanging on to my money. Come on guys. I put in a ticket on the 15th of March. Nothing happened. I gave you a month to deal with the onslaught of queries. I tried again. I went to your website and filled out a form, as you instructed on this page. A few days on I got an email where you tell me to call your number, which I did. I gave my booking reference number to the automated system. Your automated system said you would be in contact. My booking reference is 5007355961. I would like a full refund as soon as possible. Not a coupon. I won't be able to use a coupon as I won't be able to travel for more than a year to come. Please contact me urgently to arrange for a full refund, or just reverse the transaction on my credit card. Whatever is quickest. I have been very patient and did everything I could, but you are avoiding me like the plague. All this time you have done nothing to prove that you give any kind of customer service. Maybe I need to seek legal advice. I want a full refund as I will not be using your "services" again in future. Pathetic to say the very least.

Get the word out to never use this company - they are NOT interested in their customers. Our flights were cancelled by Bangkok Airways in February well before the Corona-virus outbreak. I've spend hours/days trying to communicate with Opodo, which is totally impossible. Even written to their head office and CEO - as expected no reply. Due to the Corona-virus outbreak we have had two other flights that were booked through Opodo cancelled by the airlines (as expected). No communication from Opodo!! Amazing how they are still trading, selling tickets,etc!!! DON'T BOOK WITH THEM, BECAUSE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG YOU'LL NOT BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE AND PROBABLY LOOSE YOUR MONEY.

We booked flights with Opodo on line earlier this year approx 2 months ago,Then tried to contact via telephone IMPOSSIBLE Tried many days numbers, NEVER ANSWERED Only recorded message, Since then contacted via email, Received reply That a Mr Jacob Traxler would be making a FULL INVESTIGATION, As of today BOTH HEARD FROM HIM EVEN THOUGH HE HAD CONFIRMED THAT HE WOULD GET IN TOP AFTER CARRYING OUT A FULL INVESTIGATION, I have requested many times in last 2 months that he contacts us, All we received is a load of nonsense from a MEL B, I have asked that all our correspondence be passed to OPODO C. E. O. FOR THERE ATTENTION, And still this does not happen, It is now some 2months that we have tried to resolve this issue, QUICKLY TAKE YOUR MONEY,But do not want to return it, DO NOT TRUST, HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE,

we booked flights to germany through this company, however in december ryanair contacted us to say they were cancelling the flight, since numerous attempts to contact opodo we have got nowhere and this has been nothing to do with corona virus, so please do not uss this company ,nothing but thieves .

Very poor customer service ! Flight cancelled due to Coronavirus, which is understand. Ring them 3 times, could not sort out problem. On 18th Feb 9:03 am, get through the phone, a lady asked to hold, then hanged up phone. Keep ringing them in following 2.5 hours, could not get through... Very disgrace experiences... Give another updating on 4th March 2020, flight cancel again, keeping ring 0800 026 1621 for another two hours, no answering. Keeping saying your waiting time will be more than 5 mins. However, really time will be 50 mins x 2 and still no one answer.... Give another updating on 6th March 2020. Tried a few time and get someone picked phone call. Staff said to get refund, need reply the email they send to me. Here is email below I received. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Dear Customer, In order to process your request, we would need you to provide us with $("cancelation email with refund amount") by replying to this message. Thank you very much for your understanding. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ I will waiting for 24-48 hours and call them back and keep updating of this ...... ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ FINAL CONCLUSION !! No response at all.... Simple this agent cancelled the flight and kicked customer around to avoid refund. Lost around £900... I recommend anyone wish to purchase from this agent should think about contingency cost. Their price normally £30 cheaper than offical airline website, however, you may end up with lose everything without refund. Call them is really frustration, cause seems like they employed "call centre" from other site of the plant. STOPPING & AVOID BUYING Online tickets from agent without a formal bunsiess office site, without any channel to trace your refund. Using anyway to stop you contact with them to discuss.

Ca't get hold of customer service - change the mark , said needs to be 7days prior to departure and now it sayd 3 days. Wont confirm my cash refund despite airline voucher stating they have cancelled and will refund cash - opodo offering vouchers which i cannot use and claiming ht eflight has not been cancelled yet.. unhelpful and non-professional

Avoid my flights had been cancelled through the virus the airlines refunded my money into there account 4weeks ago still not into my account impossible to get through on the phone ROBBERS

Whilst I appreciate the coronavirus situation is unique to us all, Opodo's response has caused unnecessary stress and upset to its customers. Their incompetence and unhelpful approach stands out as being exceptionally bad versus their competitors. Opodo has no email address that you can reach them on. Their chatbot is useless, resulting in a frustrating circular response system with no solution. Even their terms and conditions page yields 'Error 404' page 'not found' (much like Opodo's customer service in general) The customer service number provided by Opodo only lets you talk to an agent if your flight is within 7 days. After waiting two weeks to talk to a person, the automated system now cuts you off it your flight is not within 3 days. I'm sure I saw a moving goal post around here somewhere... Locating a receipt on Opodo.com to check if a 'cancel for any reason guarantee' was booked also seems to be an unobtainable feat. Lufthansa is unable to help me as I booked through Opodo. Opodo - I'm not asking you to donate a kidney, I just want to talk to a person about my flight this Sunday and obtain a refund. Your competitors are managing this. Why aren't you? I would urge anybody wishing to book flights with Opodo in future to consider other options. As you've probably gathered, I'd rather eat my leg with a spoon than go through the stress of dealing with this company again.

What a joke, they advertise them self's as award winning customer service team. I have tried to call them for three weeks now but no one answered the phone so far. This was the first and last time that I have used Opodo. No way that in 2020 this company can function.
