Great spec machine at a decent price. Delivery was a little slower than I hoped but still under 2 weeks for a custom pc isn't bad.

I ordered a custom built laptop for my Wife to replace her existing old laptop which had developed various faults and was not worth repairing. The configuration process was easy and the new laptop was built and delivered quickly. My Wife and I are very impressed with the quality of the components and how fast and silent running the laptop is. This is my 3rd custom built PC from PC Specialist and as always, the staff have done a first class job. Well done people. Keep up the good work. Highly recommended.

Background: I only use Linux, either for work or gaming. In pcspecialist , although they don't officially give Linux support, you can setup a laptop or PC with the hardware you want and from there setup is easy, just boot and install your favourite distro.

Build and order process very simple, if something wasn't compatible, you were told what and why, even the application for finance was quick and straight forward. Quick build the and delivery, start to delivered was 6 days. Will use again

Easy to check specification on line, easy to order, kept me informed on line and turned up quickly. This may be the 3rd PC from PC Specialist in a dozen years at least. Always excellent.

Smooth and user friendly website/ordering system, particularly the automatic components compatibility check really installs confidence at the buying stage. I looked at several custom PC websites and none were as straightforward as PC Specialist. Kept up to date at each stage of the order process. Computer arrived fantastically packaged in perfect working order. No surprises, no faults, no issues. Again, comparably with other providers where your choice was limited and your freedom to build what you wanted was restricted, PC Specialist really represented value for money and variety, in my opinion. Would thoroughly recommend PC Specialist to prospective buyers of custom machines.

My old PC broke down terminally so I needed my next "forever" computer. Went to Currys to get an external drive to do a hard disk recovery copy. I also looked to see what machines they offered. A few usual suspects, some "supermarket specials", and a couple from PCSpecialist, a company I'd never heard of before. But, all were "standard build". Nothing that fitted my desired spec. Searched out a few YouTube reviews and every one of them was positive, so I looked at the website. Very easy to navigate. Very easy to configure exactly what components I wanted, even down to the thermal paste used on the CPU & cooler. The spec could be tweaked with ease and so it was easy to see what the price implication would be. Also, at every change, you would be warned of any potential incompatibilities. For example, if you wanted to overspec a power supply, it would tell you what the load would be on it from the other components already chosen, and thus save you money without compromising overall performance. It helps to guide you towards a balanced system. Purchase price was very reasonable, and the cost for building was trivial - presumably from their bulk buying power discounts. As for build quality, I have never seen a neater assembly. All cables routed out of the way and clipped safely. At every stage you could follow the build process - this was explained befor you placed the order so you knew what to expect. My machine arrived six days from order, a day or two faster than the estimate at the start. I cannot fault any part of my experience with PCSpecialist. My new computer works perfectly and I've managed to customise it exactly to what I want. Five Star reccommendation without any reservations.

I ordered a gaming PC as a Christmas gift for my son. I did get some help from a friend with the specifications! However I found the whole process very easy. Once ordered I was kept up to date with how the PC was progressing and provided with an accurate delivery date. Would recommend

Happy customer! Fast build time and quickly resolved issue with slightly damaged side panel. Mitchell was very helpful on the phone and quickly organized sending a new side panel for a marked case. This small dent may have been due to the delivery company. There will always be issues but it is how a company rectifies them as it's not a perfect world. It's the second computer that we have had for his household. PC Specialist seem to have one of the best PC customization options but still offering good value.

Ups and downs. The PC itself was built to a high standard and I greatly enjoy it but there was some major problems in communication with the staff, some false information received and the majority of my concerns and queries either made worse or answered incorrectly (or guessed) at no point did the customer service team make me feel assured of what I will actually be receiving. Problems I had: My quote which automatically selected the graphics card marked as "preorder only" aka out of stock -I enquired about the date shown on the website (PCS's website) it stated likely stock in 2 weeks, I asked if this was a real date or a guess, what would be the likelihood of that graphics card arriving at that date -as the order could not be published due to this and I was in need of a replacement PC quickly. Customer rep got back to me very sharpish, good tone, had useful information however informed me "the graphics card is deprecated and no longer manufactured , choose a upgrade or a sidegrade which was poorer in spec" ok I said, thanks and that I ordered it without the card as my research had stated my old gfx card should function. What happened? - After a received my new PC, installed the card, I was never told about a bios compatibility setting, troubling but sorted. HOWEVER in checking the website again, same build and prices... the "preorder yet deprecated" graphics card is now magically in stock. So yes, they in fact lost out on £300 and me a new graphics card. Sadly that is the least of the problems, my main concerns during the build, which I communicated to them in good time was the following: I wanted the empty boxes for RMT (return to manufacturer) for the future in case of problems. -No luck, delivery specs wise it would be a no go but more to the point, ALL RMT IS THROUGH PC SPECIALIST FOREVER. I don't mind but I certainly didn't know or see the forever parts in the terms, I had gathered parts under the warranty period, 1 to up to 3 years, not indefinite. I also had a large concern about the water cooling placement, I myself have never installed a water cooling but decided I'd like to test it out, It's been said numerous times through reviews and advice channels that proper placement is important and to never install it at the bottom and never to have the pipes UP with pump DOWN when installed in the front. So I asked how it will be likely placed in the case, either front or top (preferred) 3 days later someone replied stating by their specifications they almost always install in the FRONT of the case as the difference is (quote) "negligible" -ok I stated, "I'll leave it up to the builders" I then asked will the pump be up and the pipes down? (I certainly didn't want additional problems, air bubbling etc.) I also asked previously if I was receiving the expensive intel cpu stickers, to which I was informed I had the choice to keep them off. I told them I would like them off. I received a reply shortly after "didn't notice in the subject reference you had already ordered, oh well no difference now it's too late to change, stickers and pump have been installed" (despite still in testing and never leaving the building at this time) -well this left me infuriated to say the least! I had used their in-house e-mail ticket system 3 days prior which automatically filled in my details and lead me to believe my existing order query was properly recorded. I told them immediately after to CHECK the pump placement and LET ME KNOW what's happened, if amendments need to be made to the system then please do so before sending as I will most likely be rejecting the order if the pump is at the bottom of the system and front case LED fans removed in order to accommodate the liquid cooling fans (which I had read either on their website faq or corsairs official documentation) -needless to say a different representative answered back and said "in a similar system we installed the liquid cooling in the top" ....WELL EXACTLY What I Was Saying from the very start, but again no eyes on the item, no communication with the pc building team, nobody, this was also an assumption (guess) and the system was sent right on delivery the next morning despite this... unprofessional judgement and handling in this respect as I expected the final say on this gamble, there was no rush and the stakes were high, I was getting automated emails stating "we are getting your item ready to dispatch, contact use with any queries!" and I'd just stare at that line and say to my self " ??? " perhaps I should of phoned instead but would they of picked up, why didn't they phone me instead? The final outcome was the equipment was delivered (in the rain, upside down, driver just walked right off, thanks dpd) and that the computer did indeed have the liquid cooler installed at the top (lucky for them) as it would of been sent straight back at their own cost with payment revoked. Does £1k not matter anymore, I know it's on the lower spectrum but seriously? In checking the inside of the system thoroughly I was impressed with the cable work, everything was accounted for (except very limited drive screws and sata cables but this could be a manufacturer constraint) [1] Major problem and [2] minor problems were found with the physical build: 1) Two of case fan headers were installed in the wrong lighting node sockets, fan#1 was in socket 3 and fan#3 was in socket1 as reported by the PC software. I could not fix this as it was cable tied with no slack available. 2) Only 2 screws were used for the ssd drive in it's caddy; diagonally. This could be a "screw saving" choice to give the user extra hdd screws and 2 was enough to hold the light ssd but personally I'd never do that, I re-installed it. 3) The main big issue with the build; I ordered a fully modular LED PSU since it was on offer, big mistake. The PSU LED was NOT CONNECTED to the case LIGHTING node box, so the system could not interact with the icue psu and it wasn't shown in devices, it would be stuck annoyingly in rainbow colour mode only. I was frustrated, I found the LED cable in the box of cables they provided and I myself had to spend 1-hour (1 ENTIRE HOUR) of labour, on the floor, stressed, sickly from a cold, sweat pouring off taking out an entire Power Supply Unit from a fully finished and cabled PC, to access and connect within deepest locked off corner. Fantastic. There was a final e-mail from PCSpecialist but I could not bring myself to read it, the whole ordeal left me stressed and worsened my health in real life, I believe they meant to do good and help me out but frankly I wish I didn't think/say anything. I WOULD order again from them. My score is 7.8 for the quality of components used, construction and pricing. I WOULD recommend them to others when purchasing a new PC. But 1/10 for all communication and resolutions. I'm an IT Professional that orders IT equipment for large organisations and a qualified technician, this was an unhappy experience no matter the price and could of bee avoided with better communication. Thank you for the computer!

Genuinely excellent experience. However, it's 4 stars instead of 5 only because the RAM I'd included in my original build was suddenly not listed when I was ready to submit my order. I prepared a different build and was able to include the desired RAM, suggesting it was available. I eventually had to upgrade my build. However, PCSpecialist were very accommodating with any changes I wanted to make.
