“They are quick to respond to my inquiries with respect and caring. Took a star off because depending on the claim it can be either a day or two or it can be 1-1.5 months.”

“So far so good. However, my pet's latest claim for periodontal disease (Stella) was denied. I disagree with this denial as I adopted Stella in August 2019 from a pet rescue unaware of her issues. To penalize me as the owner for the fact that she did not get her teeth cleaned prior to my ownership is wrong in my opinion. She was a stray when picked up by Jefferson Parish. I completely disagree with this denial of coverage for her dental work/surgery. To me it was not a pre-existing condition because it was not known at the time of adoption.”

“Other then the amount of money that increases each year they are a great insurance.Unfortunately my premium has skyrocketed to $184 a month which I can no longer afford”

“I have searched for many insurances for my cat Milo and came across Pets Bests insurance and I have to say so far it has been great to have them my only down fall with the insurance is that I would have to pay for the service for Milo first then submit a claim and wait for them to Reimburse me the money back. But other then that I have no other complaints about the insurance. I would recommend this insurance to my friends and family.”

“I have been in the vet medicine world for 16 years, I've had a million pets, and my service dog is the FIRST pet I've gotten insurance with. I am greatly satisfied with it. So glad that I have the choice for regular service benefits as well. It's amazing. I had an emergency recently with my girl and sure enough, they have reimbursed the 90% that was promised. It's insane. I spent almost $1300 to save her and I got over 1K back. That's simply amazing. I would have never thought having pet insurance would honestly help so much. Claims do take a little while but other than that, totally awesome! Thank you.”

“I had zero issues up until my last year with them which is why the 4 rating. I will say one of their customer service consultants——April is amazing. She was more than helpful and went above and beyond. For that reason alone I will definitely use Pets Best again”

“I've used Pets Best since 2018 and have been overall very happy with them. I feel that they are clear and transparent about their coverage and even if I don't love every aspect (like their policy on dentals) , my claims have always been processed in a way I feel is fair. I was even pleasantly surprised to "win" an appeal on one claim decision that I didn't agree with (and there has only been one that I've disputed after filing dozens of claims). The only reason i don't give 5 stars is because the claim processing time went from about 5 days turnaround to a month or more starting last year. It seems to be getting better, but waiting weeks and weeks can get frustrating, especially with larger claims. But overall, I think Pets Best are pretty great and I am really happy that I found them.”
