“I am very happy with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance. I have had it for about 2 years now for my 2 dogs. Processing and payment is seamless and the benefits are followed exactly as they are described in the plan overview. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I would like to see more of the preventative care appointments and medications (heartworm, flea/tick) covered, especially at the higher levels. Other than that, it works exactly as I expected and I plan on keeping it indefinitely as well as adding new pets to it as they come along.”

“I've had good experiences and customer support from Pets Best. The premium is mid range for the industry while the coverage is better than their competitors. Claims are easy to file and reimbursement turn around is typically within 2-3 weeks. I like them so much that I've added a policy for our newest pup.”

“Just starting my 2nd year with Pets Best and so far I have been very happy. Only filed wellness claims but they were processed in a timely manner. Not happy with the large rate increase though.”

“Petsbest has been absolutely amazing for the 2 years I've used them. My only reason for not giving a 5 is that rate increase. I started at roughly $73 a month 2 years ago. Now I pay about $85 a month and now just got notified it's going to about $101 a month at my next renewal. Almost a $30/month increase over 2 years seems like a lot and is becoming unaffordable.”

“I have been very happy with Pets Best the only issue I have is my pup may or may not need to have surgery but not knowing whether or not the procedure will be covered until AFTER it goes through underwriting is very stressful. It would be a great relief if something was put into place to receiver prior authorization prior to a procedure. A pet owner is already worried about what pain and suffering their pet is going through and they shouldn't need to worry whether or not services will be paid for.”

“The claim process was easy and fast, and they got back to us quicker than expected. I'm sure it might be different between policies but I would have thought medical boarding would have been included as an applicable charge towards our deductible since our pet was being monitored, and she wasn't at a boarding facility.”

“PetsBest makes filling a claim very easy, and they generally complete the process relatively quickly. Like human insurance, our pet insurance has been something we’ve hoped to not need to use much, but have been thankful we’ve had it when we’ve needed it.”

“I pay for the added wellness package that is supposed to cover heart worm prevention and flea and Tick. Unfortunately it only covers 2 months of it. That is a bit confusing. It also did not cover all of his yearly shots.”
