“Normally great, however my last claim took over a month to be processed. In the past, claims were typically processed in about a week”

“The insurance is good overall as far as coverage goes, however the time it takes to get reimbursed for the covered expenses has gotten longer. In the past, I was very satisfied with the turnaround time on getting reimbursed but lately, it takes over a month to pay out for an expense that has been covered previously. For these types of recurring costs, the reimbursement should not take that long. Overall, the insurance is acceptable, but I would like to see improvement on the time frame it takes to pay out a claim.”

“Coverage is good and usually easy to submit claims and get a response within a reasonable amount of time. However, recently I submitted a claim for an expensive hospitalization and it has been a month. I should not have to wait that long for reimbursement.”

“Have taken two months to reimburse the claim. PetsBest promise to speed up process for next payment. Read carefully the policy. In my case the deductible is $350 per year. For my opinion for healthy cat the deductible is too high. Bu in general PetsBest payd what written in the policy. Conclusion - read policy and make a decision, do you need an insurance or no. For now i decide to keep insurance for my 10 year old cat, just in case.”

“Pets Best is really a great company. The customer service your app and fantastic and easy to work with. The only downfall is the lack of speed in getting the disbursement sent and the delays in processing. Otherwise, great review by me.”

“For the most part I love Pets Best! Super easy to use and a great service overall. My only critique is that I called to lower the coverage for my dog because money was a bit tight and the associate didnt' tell me that if I did so I wouldn't be able to raise it later. I tried to call and raise his premium and wasn't allowed-would have been nice to know that before I did it.”

“All-in-All, I am happy with my coverage on my 10 pets (yes,10!) On my older dogs, I need to have the $1000 ded to be able to have them covered (which is the sucky part) and I wish since I had coverage on them since I have adopted them, that their rates would not go up (wishful thinking). The only other disappointing aspect is, I wish Holistic vet visits and CBD oil were covered (unless you pay extra for that service & I missed seeing it when purchasing a plan). My senior dog got cancer and due to his age, the oncologist vet & I decided chemo would not be a good option (but, I believe chemo would have been covered). The oncologist suggested a few other options & a visit to a holistic vet for directions of supplements and diet. I took my dog to the holistic vet who prescribed CBD oil, some supplements and diet recipes that I believe with all of those recommendations plus the prednisone, helped extended my dog's life pretty much pain free (or minimal pan). Unfortunately, none of the holistic visits or prescribed supplements (especially the CBD oil) were covered and the other bummer for me, all the first several visits and tests to general vet and oncologist were at the tail end of his policy. So, right when I was very close to meeting his $1000 ded, his plan started over and I started from $0 again (just bad timing on my policy plan). On the other hand, I have a young dog with a $200 ded who needed surgery on both knees and those were covered (I had a 10% co-pay after the $200 ded), plus his meds & physical therapy were covered. That was very nice and I did not hesitate having the surgeries done on him. I give him CBD oil too, (and all my other pets) because his regular vet thought it is a great idea. He has recovered well. Again, All-in-All I am happy with Pet's Best. I just wish holistic services were considered a covered benefit and I wish older pet's premiums would not go up so much especially if the pet has been a long time client. Thank you for listening.”

“Typically I am very pleased with Pets Best, however this time it took almost 2 months for my claim to be processed which is a little frustrating. In the past it always took less than a month. That being said I am still very pleased with the service and everyone I was in communication with was very pleasant and helpful.”

“Pets Best has always paid out claims in a timely matter. However, I submitted a claim on Nov 27th and I have finally been notified that my settlement is forthcoming after a month and a quarter later. I am not sure why the delay. The staff has been very helpful in the past with settling claims.”

“It would be nice if my dog's prescription food was covered. It would also be nice to have the opportunity to upgrade coverage without having to cancel my current policy and have a new one created. If a new one is made then my dog's current illness/condition is deemed pre-existing, which is not right or fair to an existing customer.”
