“I have been a Pet’s Best customer for 5 years with multiple golden retrievers. PB was recommended by my breeder. The plan covers specialty care, emergency, and prescriptions and I have no complaints about that. HOWEVER PB now takes much longer to pay my claim. Originally claims were paid in 2 weeks, now it takes more than a month to receive reimbursement. I don’t understand why it takes so long now.”

“We have been satisfied with Pets Best. The only complaint would be how much the rates increase each year of our dogs life. I had to eliminate some of the coverage due to the high increase. In the long run we are glad that we have it. Maile has been a healthy dog and we hope she continues on that course. However it is good to know we have the coverage in case anything major should arise.”

“I've had Pets Best for two dogs. On my first dog, claims were processed within 5 days and I'd rate them 5 stars. On this dog claims are taking at least 30 days but the good news is that ultimately they approve them. If they increased their speed of paying claims they would be 5 star again.”

“I love the coverage I have with Pets Best insurance. I have it deducted through my payroll which is very convenient. I submitted a claim and received a fair amount of money back which I appreciated. It was directly deposited into my bank account which was very easy to set up. My only complaint I have is that it took a very long time to process my claim. I did appreciate the apology email they sent me about that though. Overall, a very good experience.”

“The coverage is good for the price. I like that they have options to add general wellness stuff like vaccines and certain testing. Only issue is they take forever to process claims.”

“I have been a client of PetsBest for many years and they have always been fantastic. However lately the amount of time from when you submit a claim until you receive your reimbursement has gotten significantly longer and is disappointing. I pay every month on time for the insurance and I don't feel like it should take 35+ days for me to receive reimbursement.”

“Pets Best has great coverage and rates. I love that they offer a wellness plan along with illness/accident coverage that covers a certain amount of routine things for your pet such as flea medicine and vaccines. The claims process is very easy and I have never had an issue with submitting a claim or having it being processed. Some claims take longer to process than others; I've only done one illness claim and that took about a month to be fully processed. But I have the wellness plan with my pets as well and those claims are processed within 2 weeks. They also offer direct deposit which is so convenient! If you have never had pet insurance just know that all claims are reimbursements; you still have to pay your veterinarian up front for the costs of any services or procedures (unless you have a different arrangement with your vet).”

“I used to think of PetsBest as the best. I talked about it to everyone and even distributed brochures. Sad to say their service has gone down hill since being bought by Synchrony Bank. They still pay the claims but now instead of getting your money within 2 weeks in the mail it is at least a month and that was with direct deposit. . Really sorry to see them slipping like this when before they were excellent.”

“Coverage has been good. We did have a claim rejected because they don't cover pregnancies in bulldogs. They failed to acknowledge that we had had our dog for two and a half years before it was discovered that she had a leftover puppy from an ectopic pregnancy from before we owned her, so that surgery was not covered but everything else has. My big concern now is processing time, it has gone from 5-7 days to 30-40. I submitted my last prescription and still had not been reimbursed from the month before. I find this unexcitable.”

“Reimbursement used to be in about 5 days. Now it is almost a month ! They are still good but not like they used to be. Getting pickier about receipts. Before I would have rated them a 10; now about a 7.,😕”

“I urge that Pets Best Insurance should reimburse me over 50 percent or higher for all bills and for all cat health conditions. The veterinary bills cost much more higher every year and continue to spiral higher. All veterinary bills should be covered by 50 percent to 100 percent.”
