“Overall, very pleased. This was my first claim on this policy. Would have rated 5 stars except the time for the claim to be settled and reimbursed was almost 2 months. I understand medical records were reviewed but the time to process kept getting extended. Hopefully the processing time will improve going forward now that they have my dog's medical history on file.”

“Our dog has had and continues to have some issues. Thus far Pet Best Health Insurance have paid the expenses I have submitted less the deductible. Cannot complain at the service, but expect turn around times of about 30 days.”

“Very good insurance however the downside is they take a long time to process claims. They indicate quick turn around for claim processing however it really takes 30 days or longer. I liked the fact that my vet can submit the bill however the very first time I did this the claim was paid after 30 days and now my vet won't submit anymore due fo the lengthy processing time.”

“We switched from another company due to a cost increase. Have been very happy with Pets Best and have recommended to friends. Only 'issue' has been the time taken to process a claim (which was deemed to be a pre-existing condition, which was not a surprise).”

“Since the change in insurance offering, the coverage is not as good and it takes a long time for bills to be processed. I think it was a better value before the change in insurance offerings. Less coverage for more money. I may shop around. I really like the people at Pets Best...they are Pets Best Friends which is why I would like to stay with Pets Best. Sadly, It may become a luxury I can no longer afford.”

“Its kinda hard to rate them since I've only had limited dealings. I was having trouble submitting my claim, so they called the vet and had the papers forwarded, and there were claims missed from both hospitals. Not sure if it was an error on their part or the vet office not sending.”

“If you paid the claims more quickly, I would give you a 5. Having said that it was paid accurately and without any problems. Thank you..i have referred your insurance to several of my friends and family.”

“We've been with Pets Best since 2008 and have been pleased overall. They have usually had very fast turn around for claims submitted and usually have gotten reimbursement checks to us quickly. I have noticed that claim processing times are getting longer in 2019 with claims I submitted in November taking almost 4 weeks to be processed. I do wish they had a higher coverage limit for things such as veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic. Only 2 at-home acupuncture sessions in my area meets the coverage limit for the year. We are debating about continuing with our insurance policy for 2020 as the premium for our senior dog will now be over $5,600 for the year.”
