“I'm happy to have the insurance as my service dog was using it pretty much immediately with a tummy bug, in addition to her annual wellness exam. One of the only downsides so far is that it takes quite a long time to actually get reimbursed.”

“Honestly surprised and happy with how good this insurance is. I do have unlimited 90% reimbursement plan and I went three years without needing it “thankfully” so when it came time to actually use it I was nervous about how well it would work. We’ll let me tell you it has been a saving grace while dealing with one of our cats having pancreatic cancer, last thing we needed was to worry about financing to treat them. That said nearly everything has been covered other then some supplements and claims tend to process fast. I’ve had claims process in a few hours and some that have taken almost a month and a half, again seemingly with no rhyme or reason. 4/5 only due to some extreme claim processing times greater than a month.”

“I like Pets Best unlimited coverage. I have all 3 of my dogs covered. I like their polite customer service representatives. Whether by phone or chat everyone is always very courteous and helpful. One aspect that I am disappointed with is that it continues to take so long for my claim settlements and reimbursements. Even when my claim gets approved I receive notice that 5-7 days for my reimbursement to show up in my account with direct deposit. I have insurance to help pay Vet bills and almost 3 weeks to get reimbursed is a long time. Maybe that's standard for all pet insurance companies, I don't know. But I do wish turn around time was faster.”

“I turned in a claim on 2-29-24 and it still hasn't be processed. Usually it is only 3-4 days for processing.”

“It was easy to join and have my puppy covered for the first year. Many of the puppy issues that have come up have been covered. The only issue is that reimbursement can take a long time and credit card bill is often due first.”

“They have provided what they promised. The explanation of benefits is clear and concise. There are many options for coverage. The only negative is the amount of time it takes to get a claim processed. This is especially onerous when you have to pay out of pocket (essentially using a credit card) and then it takes over 30 days for the processing and interest fees are incurred while waiting on the reimbursement. The piece of mind it provides is priceless. Since we have insurance we can offer our fur baby options for treatment of his brain tumor and possibly give him another 12-18 months of quality time. That is worth a lot.”

“The claims have mostly been very easy to turn in and receive the benefits. I do think they they may want to review some of the amounts they cover as inflation makes vets charge more, the coverage is covering less. It would be helpful if annually they send out a reminder of what the insurance covers with amounts and which vets they cover near the pet owner.”

“Always very quick with reviews of claims, although I thought their justification of a dog having multiple vet trips for eating things he shouldn’t was a pre existing condition was a joke”

“We insured our beloved pug with petsbest since he was a little puppy. The rate was very reasonable at first until Leo got older and the rate dramatically increased. But we glad Leo was insured for the times he visited the ER . Petsbest made the claim process easy and the reimbursement was fair.”

“While the app functionality could be improved a little, that pales in comparison to the relief we have been brought through the reimbursements Pets Best has followed through on after our dog’s orthopedic surgery. After an emergency visit and then surgery for a complete fracture of his tibia, we were unsure how much would be covered of the $8k+ bill since the surgery was technically an optional route. But after less than a month from filing our claim we are seeing about 3/4 reimbursement for oats paid out of pocket and we can finally breathe easy again. So thankful for this service.”

“Always accessible when I have questions. Claim processing a bit slow and additional documentation needed for fairly straight forward reimbursement (auto refill flea/tick meds). But most experiences have been pleasant and fairly reasonable time frame.”

“i give a 4stars bc they dont offer prexsting ill ness and allso. it says for a well ness it takes 2/days thats not true i have to waite 30 dats for a wellness my dog got her teeth done and her anle glands and her grooming. this is all wellness and they are. goimg to cover me part of it and also its taken 30/days bc they say its illness ans its not its a wellnss i put in for a well ness and. they made it out to be a.illness and a illness. is 30 day waite well ness is to day waite so. ya i only been with this place for a short time and i m all ready give tgem. my first red flag”

“This has been a good plan for my dogs as I have the 'delux' plan that covers chiropractic, accupuncture, etc. However I have to scale back my plan because of the price increase. I plan to stay here as service has been excellent.”

“Claim took over a month to process, which is why I gave this review 4 stars. I kept getting notifications that they needed more medical records to process the claim. I called customer service and they got everything straightened out and the claim was processed soon after that and some reimbursement.”
