“I like the insurance customer service and I love the policy choosing options based on deductibles and whats included. It has been well worth it for my two lemon dogs. However the downside is it can take over a month to get claims processed which can be an issue especially for high $ claims.”

“At first I was very frustrated because I got denied for what I believe were legitimate expenses. My vet sent in the same information 3 different times because it seemed to get lost. After several phone calls, I got lucky and gig RICCO. He was amazing! He was kind and knowledgeable and really sorted things out. I hope this review reaches him and I hope he gets a raise.”

“i believe Pets Best is very good coverage because u never know if your pet is going to be healthy or not. Our wonderful dog has had a few health issues and Pets Best has covered all that we had expected.”

“I have always been a huge fan of Pets Best! The only complaint I have is the claims process has been much slower over the last 12-18 months which is frustrating. Hopefully they will resolve this issue soon.”

“I'm very happy with Pets Best. I've never used pet insurance in the past. A tragic, unexpected loss, of our Schnauzer girl , at 8 yrs old, to cancer, I felt it was time. I feel the coverage is of quality and in line with the premium. I only wish the medical claims could be paid a little quicker. But it's certainly not a deal breaker. Keep up the great work team Pets Best!”

“We adopted four kittens - I knew I had to get pet insurance just in case all of them got sick. I shopped around and went with Pets Best. About two months after I got the insurance, one of the kittens broke her leg (we still are unsure how). Her rear leg bone was literally shattered. Thank goodness I had Pets Best! I had to pay upfront (almost $9k) as she had surgery and overnight stay along with meds, etc. I was worried about my claim getting denied because I was a new customer. Although it did take longer than expected, I got a check from Pets Best about six weeks later and they covered 90% after my $250 deductible. So it all worked out. I have been happy with them. They do take a long time to process claims and they will get more medical info from your vet, but I’m sure they are making sure everything is on the up and up. I was transparent about everything and all of my claims have been paid according to my plan. So be patient and expect to wait a month or more for reimbursement but they hopefully will pay your claim as mine did for my kitten.”

“This was my first time using any pet insurance and first claim to PetsBest. I am on a fixed income, and my dog was rescued from a shelter so I had no background info; thus pet insurance seemed like a good idea. I expected to be reimbursed fairly quickly, but that was not the case. In the end: they paid my claims, but the middle wasn’t great. I submitted a claim mid-Sept and even after 2 calls to customer service trying to find out what was taking so long since there was no sign they’d accessed vet records for the claim, and no change in status. Finally in mid October, I got a message apologizing for the delay. And a few days later notice that the claim would be paid. I suspect we just somehow slipped through a crack and that future claims, if any, will be processed in a more timely manner. So all in all, everything is fine.”

“My only complaint is the time it takes to process a claim and get reimbursed. I have to place the charges on my credit card and then pay interest fees. Otherwise, I'm happy I have insurance for all 3 dogs. One was bit by a rattlesnake in March. His mom, a Newfoundland, started getting seizures about 2 months ago. You just never know what's going to happen.”

“Covered pretty well but took almost 6 weeks to hear back in if it was covered. I had to put my dog's surgery on a credit card so I've accrued interest while waiting. Still waiting for the actual reimbursement to my checking account.”
