“Great company, just wish reimbursements would come quicker”

“Really easy process and good communication. I submitted my claim, heard from a representative within a couple of days, and received the reimbursement notification a few days after that. Having insurance relieved the financial stress while we were at the hospital, so we could concentrate on caring for our dog.”

“Submitting a claim is very simple and has improved. Would give 5 stars if the claims were handled faster. Last claim took over a month to be processed and I am still waiting on returned funds.”

“Overall I think they are ok but they take too long to pay and on some of my claims they make no sense. My dog had to have biopsies and cests removed so while they had her under I had her teeth cleaned I do not expect them to pay for that BUT they did not pay for the anesthesia did they think you could cut things off your dog with them not being a sleep. Ridiculous!”

“I only gave it four stars, because claims take so long. But I have to say my last claim was processed very quickly. I have not gotten the check yet, but hopefully soon.”

“My old insurance covered every test but fecal even if it wasn't an emergency but Pets Best does not which was disappointing to me, especially if your pet develops a chronic condition that requires regular testing, not on an emergency basis. The other issue I have is how slow they are when you submit a claim. They say they are quick once the claim is processed but it takes forever to get to processing. However they pay without issue.”

“I have had PetsBest for my two dogs since they were 3 months and 9 months old. They are now 6 and turning 7. I'm a licensed Veterinary Technician and recommend this company to anyone who asks about pet insurance, and even bring it up to those who don't ask, for certain breeds I know are problem-children! I've never had trouble getting things covered, and it's pretty easy for me to know what will and won't be covered based on the policy details. Prices have gone up each year, as expected with my large breed dogs getting older and having health problems. Many of my claims are processed super quickly, such as medication refills or a simple visit. Things that are trickier, like a surgery, tend to take a LOT more time. That is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I recently had a mass removed from my Golden Retriever and it took over 5 weeks to process that claim through. Finally got the email and should be getting my return from them soon. I'll say that whenever I have exceeded my deductible, after the claim is processed, the funds come pretty quick. It's just the waiting for the claim to process sometimes.”

“The cost of ins went up nearly $250 for two animals in a year. I expect it to increase year over year because of the animals' ages. Was about to give up on ins if they didn't help me pay for my cat's disease. They paid their part of the bill as honored. My anxiety was reduced.”

“Pets Best did reimburse me for my claim, however, the length of time for it to be paid was way longer than the 10 days that is claimed. It took a little over a month and I didn't hear anything for almost 4 weeks the reason for the delay.”

“I am very happy with how easy the app is to navigate and submit a claim. Wait time was a bit long but they did end up paying out the claim so that was good. I dont remember paying a copay on my last claim yet this claim had to pays which is interesting to me. Overall happy with it.”

“Reimbursement times are very slow and not consistent. I've submitted numerous claims since June and some have been processed while others just sit there. Processing times vary from days to multiple weeks, which I have to believe is not based on order of submittal but on who the claim is assigned to. Outside of that, I've never had any issues with Pets Best overall and they've always covered everything that was in my policy. If reimbursement times were faster and more consistent they would definitely get 5 stars.”

“Insurance itself is decent. Claim process is super easy. My only complaint is the reimbursement rate. Usually takes longer than estimated. The premium increases are also a bummer but it’s probably because I do have a senior pup.”
