“Before my (very positive) review, a suggestion: my main reasoning for choosing Play it Koi was your availability of many US native plants, which is so important for building backyard ecosystems. It would be amazing (and I think good for business) if you could clearly label on your webstore which species are US natives, and even provide a separate menu section for them. There's a huge native plant movement and you guys are primed to cater to it. Every single plant I ordered (18 in total, 9 species) was large and healthy, and packaged very well. The Mimulus even arrived with blooms! Ben was extremely helpful with getting my order shipped asap when we were facing a tough situation between brutally hot weather and travel plans - truly top notch customer service. I have already reccommended Play it Koi to many others in my personal circle and online. The one con I would mention is that some plants (specifically the Lizard's Tail) were in pots with roots growing through, so I had to painstakingly use a box cutter to free them with minimal damage. It was evidence of strong plants so I was happy, and I saved the damaged roots to hopefully propogate, but if you can find a way to grow them without the pots (or advertise as potted, rather than bare root) that would be great. Can't wait to order from you guys again. Thank you Ben, Kelly, and the rest of the Play it Koi team!”
