Simply because the pump was supplied with the wrong fittings to marry the pump itself to the extension pipes. I've reported this to the Draper helpline and am waiting for their response.

I ordered 2 separate components on different occasions and forked out an extra £8 or so for next day delivery by 6pm but both components arrived 2 days later which is what I would have got for the free first class delivery so that was annoying. I was told the item was at a local depot and i could pick it up at 8am and so I went there and was sent back because they said they didnt have the items. I then had to wait until later on that morning till they finally found the items. I needed these components urgently and the whole delivery situation ruined my first experience with Rapid.

Most of my dealings with Rapid would earn 5 stars, but my latest purchase has not been good. The website failed to confirm my purchase with an e-mail. Customer services said the order had not been place, so advised I re-order. The original order duly arrived closely followed by the second. After returning the second order and 3 further phone calls I was told I would be credited - this took 4 days. The customer service staff were polite throughout, nevertheless it was a frustrating experience.

I was really dissapointed that i paid for next working day delivery and i didnt get it until 2 days after which affected the job they were ordered for

Unfortunately although we paid extra for next day delivery, the item was not delivered on time. We were not informed that that item had been delayed and would not arrive on the day promised

2nd order, two items, one missing. When I phoned to complain there was an air of disbelief and 'we will check' and send if missing. Next day, no further sontact so I phoned again, 'Oh yes, we found the missing items', they have gone out today. To be fair they did send them out as a separate order by courier.

Ordered something on the 4th Feb 2014 and as of 11th Feb 2014 still had not arrived. Paid for postage and when chased was told it was despatched sameday but would take up to 10 days to come ?

Inaccurate lead times repeatedly given on parts that are on back order. Poor customer service, always promised return calls but never receive them. Different advisers give different information for same query..

I think that you should consider how to be more ecologically friendly with your packages. I received 2 button batteries, no bigger than peas, and they arrived in a cardboard box, 7 inches cube, with masses of paper inside. The two batteries could have been put in an envelope such as a small jiffy bag with much less postage charge. Perhaps that is how you make your money. Mrs Caffyn

The package arrived on time, however, that was the only positive aspect of the order. When opened, the batteries were scuffed and had the look of a second-hand product. The nylon terminal protectors were completely missing from two of the batteries; we searched through the packaging and found one loose one. We phoned Rapid to complain only to find that the Rapid VoIP telephone system was down. We phoned the next day and our call was eventually answered by a Rapid employee. We mentioned the problem with the phone system and he became evasive. We complained about our order and we were told that somebody would phone us back. When we asked why it could not be dealt with now he conceded that there was an issue with the phone system, and that he wasn't able to contact anybody. We are still waiting for that promised call. As a corollary, we would just like to say that we design, build and install VoIP phone systems and we have never known such a problem with downtime as Rapid appears to be experiencing.

Goods delivered quickly, but to the wrong address. Not the fault of Rapid Electronics, as the package was addressed correctly. The courier made the mistake - UK Mail. Unfortunately, the person at the wrong address was out and the courier left the package in a recycling bin. They left a card but the elderly lady living at the property did not understand what it was. I got the package eventually, dripping wet and decorated with the contents of her dustbin.

One out of five "in stock" items arrived brilliantly fast. Very pleased. Second item arrived late and damaged... Still waiting for replacement for damaged item and the other missing three! So I guess that's a 1 out of 5 from me.

Web site said the transistors were in stock. They arrived 2 days later than the rest of the order. Fortunately I did not need them immediately.

Well it's now 8 days since my stuff was supposedly dispatched and I paid £9 for so-called 48 hour delivery. Still no sign of it. WHY DON'T YOU USE THE POST OFFICE? What's so good about white vans that clog up the streets and refuse to get their feet wet by delivering to islands?

Happy with product but not service, we had to return item because wrong one was sent and we were told we had to pay to send it back and never had a refund for postage costs !!!

My order was dispatched very promptly but, unfortunately, even though I had filled in the delivery address of the subcontractor who would assemble the components as I was on holiday, the parts were delivered to my address, causing me over a week's delay in supplying my customer plus an extra 26 miles journey to put right this mistake. When I saw the delivery address on the Saturday morning I tried to contact customer services (9am to 4pm Saturdays I think the website said). Too early to phone I emailed and had a reply on Monday afternoon. Not answering why the products were delivered to the wrong address but simply telling me why they weren't there on Saturday. I still don't know why the order wasn't delivered to the delivery address I had put on my order but I have to review my suppliers because, as a small company, I can't afford to cope with mistakes like this.

Having looked into this, it appears that although you have created an additional delivery address, the default address was chosen during the checkout process. Unfortunately I had to ring your customer service line only to be told that the order i had placed was the wrong one as I thought. The item I needed was not displaying the right order number. Amazingly I was told that the order could not be stopped and I would have to return it when it turned up at my door !!!!!! Pity because the delivery was exceptional..
