I rang RIAS twice to ask how adjustments to my cover would affect the quoted premium, such as altering my voluntary excess and removing the separate optional excess insurance. On both occasions the person I spoke to was unhelpful and condescending. In the end the only way I could tailor my quote was by going online and seeking an entirely fresh quote. In the end I did stay with RIAS although they were not quite the cheapest option, mainly because starting afresh with them also offered me the bonus of an online account with them that hopefully will give me a better renewal experience next year. Also their web site is clear and straightforward. In short, the web experience was good, the humans less so.

Queries dealt with via`phone efficiently and professionally.When told that a `phone call back to myself would be made it was. The only criticism is why send two copies under separate post of the insurance details?

I was struggling finding quotes on comparison websites where so many impossible questions were asked, such as rebuild figure or nearest tree to property boundary. I'd almost given up when a friend suggested RIAS. So I looked and felt comfortable with your website, straight-forward, easy to navigate. Once I'd decided I rang to finalise my insurance and spoke to John who was charming, very helpful and understanding. You sent the paperwork within a week. It might have been nice to receive an email confirming that my insurance was in place but apart from that I am happy. The quote was competitive, not the cheapest, but better value than Aviva . I just hope renewal in 12 months' time will be equally competitive. Thank you. I shall get a motor insurance quotation from you when the time comes next year.

Purchasing anything on the telephone makes me a little nervous especially when things do not happen as promised. At the conclusion of my transaction I was told that I would be transferred to an automated message which contained more information. Although the line was ringing for some time I did not hear any message. I eventually had to hang up. I called RIAS directly and my call was redirected. I did finally hear the information. otherwise very satisfactory.

Quick quote for required cover provided. Website access to manage the account works well for information and for uploading / downloading documents.

All I wanted to do was change my car details. It took all day & approx 4 hours on the phone. Was transferred to 3 different people. Was told I would be called back 3 times and wasn't. Had my policy cancelled by accident & was charged a cancellation fee of £35 as well as an admin fee of £25 for the initial change over. In the end everything was cancelled and I got a cheaper quote online! Started this at 9am and was finally covered by 7pm!

This is the first year I have used Rias for insurance. Up to now; I believe they give exceptional value, espectially over my previous car insurance provider. I have only experienced one query and this was sorted out without any problems and very quickly.

I found your Home Insurance very competitive and easy to obtain. When you get to over 80 and a fixed income it is good to find a good reasonable insurance, thankyou for your help.

I purchased the policy over the phone, tho' my details were online, via the 'compare the market' site but I was having problem online. Michelle was very prompt and efficient so I hope that the service, should I need to use it??? Is as efficient. The premium was one of the cheapest on the site, so all in all, I was very pleased with the policy

I have no evidence that I have purchased Legal Protection. When I 'phoned on the 24th after I had bought the policy to ask for an email to be sent to me for confirmation I was told that an email would not be necessary because Legal Protection would appear on the documents that I can read in my online account within 24 hours of buying the policy. It is now 2030 hours on the 26th and I still don't have conformation that I have Legal Protection! My Schedule tells me to look at my Summary to see all the cover I have. The Summary tells me to look at the Schedule (!!). It also tells me to look at the quote, but when I try to do that I'm told that there is no access to the quote once it has been accepted! Also, before I phoned I filled in the online query form to ask the same the question but when I clicked the "Submit" button nothing appeared to happen. I'm beginning to worry about how you deal with claims.

For myself, this site is immediately off putting as the title list is inadequate. It doesn't provide the option to list myself as a Rabbi, and to get listed as a Rev. I had to go to the telephone. This created a poor impression right from the start.
