Ive lost count of the number of parcels 'delivered' by RM that have arrived damaged. Letters arrive late, their CS are hopeless, compensation invariably is a handful of free stamps. One year was so bad, I ended up with enough free stamps to put on ALL my Christmas cards.

I sent a letter to Guernsey by recorded delivery from a Birmingham post office 5 days ago. The “certificate of posting” promised next day guaranteed delivery and that the letter could be tracked on Royal Mail online tracking. I have just tried to track my letter on the Royal Mail website. It still shows only the posting date and says that my letter is still in Birmingham. I paid £6.60 for a non-existent service.

Paid for tracked next day delivery. Received text in the morning to say it had been dispatched. It is now 6.30pm and item still hasn't been delivered. Tracking shows it is still in a warehouse. I now won't get the item at all because tomorrow is Sunday! Royal Mail should stop offering a service they can't deliver!

Took US postal services 2 days to move a packet from USA west coast to London Heathrow. Less than 12 hours to go through UK customs. Royal Mail 5 days to move packet 25 miles to central London. Zelenograd then could not be bothered to deliver it had to collect. Despite their promise to deliver it on a certain day. Totally useless, incompetent.

When Royal Mail works [40 percent of the time] it is fine but heaven forbid you have a problem with...i.e missing parcels... do not expect any help, whether online, in person or on the telephone. They become non existent with unhelpful advice, irrelevant information, unanswered calls. Just exasperating nonsense going round and round with no resolution

Horrible excuse of a company, they should be shut down with immediate effect. Pathetic, incompetent lousy overall service in every aspect, they should be deemed unfit to carry out any type of service again. Let alone be allowed to deliver our mail and parcels, they disgust me.

Always always always have issues with Royal Mail delivering packages to me. Wish it didn't have to go through them when ordering from UK. It's a gamble every time and most times, I am disappointing never receiving my packages. Tracking says "Delivert attempted" but no one in and left a note. First off, there was no note...ever. Second off, my apartment complex is locked and secured and you cannot get in through multiple locked entrances without a key fob. All packages and deliveries go through the leasing office that then places packages in the package room. So how did they get all the way to my front door?? Lies.

WILL NEVER USE SERVICE AGAIN. Waste of money, will use courier in future. Took a letter for Dublin to the town Post Office on Tuesday lunchtime paid for tracking, it arrived at Chesterfield Friday lunchtime, a journey of 6 miles. A sorting error, I was told, due to having lots of things to deliver! Apparently still on PO target to reach destination country in 3 to 5 working days. Derbyshire to Dublin not Djibouti. Being busy doing the job you are in business to do isn’t an excuse it’s a sign of failure and incompetence. We send parcels to the same address via courier which arrive in a day, cheaper than PO quotes. So why did I stupidly trust the expensive Post Office to deliver a letter. Never again. The one star was for efficiently taking my money at the counter.

I sent a £25 voucher to friends that were getting married. I paid for recorded delivery and that was 2 weeks ago. I’ve had to chase it up and been on the phone to customer services for 40 mins! It’s not a free call but what a crock of. I hate Royal Mail and wish I’d had it delivered with a courier !

Had 3 deliveries due from John Lewis. One item got sent to the wrong Delivery Office, just 2 miles from my home. Today its been sent to another Delivery Office 35 miles from my home!! Called Royal Mail who just gave me some spin about it will be with me tomorrow but I don't hold out much hope!! John Lewis have been great but one of the items in the parcel is discontinued so I've no option but to wait for Royal Mail to get it to me, rather than get a refund from John Lewis.

International tracked and signed for to Italy. Supposed to take 3 to 4 days, it is the 29th May at 10pm as I write this and two parcels have not arrived as yet. One was posted on 21st May and the other on the 23rd May. Eight days for a three day delivery and it is still not here. Don't waste your money go elsewhere.

I'm not happy with the service at all. I just want to warn everyone who thinks they want to use Royal Mail, take a different company instead of Royal Mail better for you. The postman brought me an empty envelope and my item disappeared, the envelope was just an invoice from my item the seller sent. The postman scanned an empty envelope and gave it to my director without my item. This was not the first time RoyalMail had to do with my post several times happened similarly and for every time I have evidence or witnesses. Do not use Royal Mail .....

Trying to track my parcel Your website says "The sender has let us know this item will be with us soon" - as if! You have the item and are probably buying time to extend the delivery period. Have been 35 minutes waiting on your customer "helpline" - and counting, with an annoying woman with a patronising voice suggesting I get your free App! You have the audacity to have a "Like Us" link on your homepage. One star is far too much for you useless bums!
