I placed an order on 24 September for 2 terracotta bulb bowls (website now stating that these won’t be available until March) despite one phone call and numerous emails as they are no longer manning the customer service line. Additionally I placed an order on 9 November for 3 zinc planters and have still not received them despite emailing the customer service line and being advised I should receive them in the middle of December (website now showing that they won’t be available until January. Shockingly poor customer service. Other companies have coped well but not Sarah Raven. Most disappointing.

Having been a customer for years I'm disappointed - ordered £150+ with of bulbs in total and an order for a 90 bulb collection was not delivered (although all paid for). Now told that that collection is out of stock... spent a month preparing ground for it. When I contacted them the first person I spoke to didn't seem interested - not even an offer of a refund! Value of bulbs is 46.50... called again and wanted to know how they are going to resolve it. Apparently 'someone from senior management is going to call me'. I hope so. Its put me right off after so many years.

I've bought from sarah for the past 3 years not had any problems till this year, and I'm very dissatisfied I've spent over £150 on various plants most of which did not yeald any flowers at all the others were poor and only gave me small amounts of blooms, I had other plants from other companies which performed very well. Also having ordered bulb compost. grit and other items back in sept I have to press only received 1 item, disappointed that I'm not getting replies to emails , I'm aware this has been a difficult year but I feel sarah raven has not given good service this season. Wont be ordering again as I feel I've spent a lot of money for very little or in the case of my compost order NOTHING. sad you cant reply to my query emails.

Very poor service and communication from Sarah Raven company .
Still waiting for part of an order placed almost 2 months ago. The payment was debited from my account at the time of ordering. Have had to email several times for updates as no communication from the company and still awaiting a reply to my last email. One part of the order arrived poorly packaged. Very disappointed . Will never order from them again .

Order number 1684276. How lovely to open the Telegraph this morning and to see Sarah Raven’s smug face smiling at me from her beautiful garden - whilst her over promoted business takes advantage of thousands of disappointed customers during Covid 19. When I placed my order with Sarah Raven over a month ago the plant was showing as ‘in stock’, which means, by their own terms, it should have been available for dispatch within 2-4 weeks.
So where is it?! Apparently ‘poor’ Sarah Raven has had so many orders that they are overwhelmed and massively delayed in fulfilling them. Unlike more responsible - and less greedy - online plant sellers, Sarah Raven did not start to restrict their daily order numbers to ensure a reasonable delivery time. As many have stated here, and with one or two other online plant suppliers, Sarah Raven has also totally shut down the ability to communicate with them in any reasonable way. Emailing them, as I have, yields no response. However we all note that they are dedicating staff time in order to reply to (or I am sure delete) bad reviews. Disgraceful. You should be concerned about your customers waiting for weeks on end for deliveries. So Sarah, I would like you to fulfil my order please? Stop using Covid19 as an excuse for disgusting service. You are not key workers. You sell plants. Stop being greedy and get on with it. I will now be writing to the Telegraph, Gardeners’ World and other publications to point them to all the terrible reviews and to show them how greedy and grabbing Sarah Raven’s business is in taking more orders than it can fulfil and that her media image is not at all what her business represents.

Plants ordered in March still not arrived even though when I contacted customer services who said they would send them out priority. Some of these plants were for a spring border do thats not going to happen now. As a gardener planning your garden is something to enjoy now devastated that my garden isnt going to look like it should..besides the money paid in March not to receive the plants is really upsetting. I am also waiting for part of another order. I think Sarah Raven needs to take control as her business is starting to go downhill fast.

Ordered plants in March received email 9th May saying plants on way by 1st class Royal Mail.....not arrived a week later customer services said they would send them out priority..still not arrived Some of these plants were for a Spring border so that is now no longer happening too late. The other plants were for window boxes these should be planted and growing on now. Absolutely gutted my garden wont look like I had planned. No more using Sarah Raven

all my summer bedding Cosmos, giant antirinums, maigolds, arrived as over grown in the containers clearly been left too long, i hoped they would pick up when planted out, but no they are all pathetic even though they have the best of growing conditions, and are fed and watered properly. will NEVER buy her overpriced goods again. incidentally, the garden lights they have in the catalogue, at £22.00 i have bought in my local garden centre for £9.95!!!!

In March I ordered 15 items in the crimson silk pot collection-5cosmos5petunias and 5 salvias, which according to the brochure would be despatched from April.As I was going on holiday mid May I hoped to get them so I could plant before leaving and informed Sarah Raven of this in the hope they would be given priority.I was told if the plants were held over the nursery only start the process after the requested date.It is not made clear that you do not retain your place in the queue but go to the back of the queue and start again-a very strange aspect of customer service-and I did not realise this until I wrote again about a week ago to ask when I could expect the plants,having heard nothing.
At this point the company apologised and as a”gesture of goodwill” said they would refund the money but fulfill the order.The plants arrived today,3 petunias,3salvias and 5 cosmos ,2of which were broken at the bottom of the stem.I had not cancelled the order or asked for a refund so I am now tasked with trying to fill the deficit,had I known I would have bought locally weeks ago.
The customer service needs a massive injection of clear and regular communication.The plants are vastly overpriced and I shall be buying elsewhere in future.
If I could give no stars I would.My advice.....Avoid at all costs,buy elsewhere.

Lured by a pretty catalogue, my daughter bought bulbs and seeds from you. Very poor viability and not true to description. I am an experienced grower. I will urge others to avoid your products.

I have been unable to order an Acanthus. I clicked to get an email to inform me when it would be back in stock. I received the email the next day but when I tried to order it was out of stock. The same thing happened the next day. Email arrives to tell me the plant was in stock. Went online within the hour to buy but it was unavailable again. Called up to try and order but was soundly rebuffed. No attempt to be helpful or to supply the plants. I have given up and bought elsewhere.

Very poor service. Will not use again.

My husband ordered a quite expensive gardening apron from the Sarah Raven catalogue back in early Dec as a Christmas present for me. It still hasn't arrived. He has chased it but had the usual formulaic letter promising it asap but would have appreciated knowing it wouldn't still be here by Feb. Poor customer service and communication. Will think twice before ordering again.

Bought a beautifully illustrated combination of two types of tulips and wallflowers in the Autumn. Planted I two big tubs, the early flowering tulips are all diseased ,yellowing foliage most flower heads not developed at all ,those that did are strange small shapes and obviously blighted. The later tulips have yet to flower but look very well,same for the wallflowers.
Complaint to customer service answered very slowly with formula letter,when followed up asked for photos which were sent and then no further reply.
Very very poor service. Will never use again.
