Worst company ever! Hateful, heartless & disrespectful to say the least! Don’t waste your time talking to these people! Just let your attorney handle! Loud hatful women Shellie called me on Christmas eve and told me that they would be sending me a $25 gift certificate to sign a release. When I told her I would not be signing she stated i had no choice because the $25 gift certificate was only good if I signed the document and my claim was being denied! Very hateful and disrespectful to say the least! They only have one goal, to deny all claims no matter what!

The worst experience ever, i filed a claim and the claims manager called me to go over the claim and its due date of January 2025. I happened to call to check on the claim and found out the claim was due December 22, 2024 (on a Sunday) just days after our conversation. I called her back about the misleading information and she got loud, obnoxius and disrespectful over her own misleading information. I called her manager who stated there's nothing she could do but deny the claim. People pay into insurance just in case. But Sedgwick will give you misleading information to deny your claim for their own gains.

Worst experience ever, i filed a claim for short term disability and the claims manager called me to go over the claims and due date. She said more MD paperwork was due in January, 2025 and the documents she emailed me also had a due date of January 2025. After calling in to check on the claim, it stated December 22, 2024 just days after our conversation. Called her back about the misleading information she gave me and my MD and she got loud and obnoxius over HER own error. Called her manager who then stated "we'll just have to deny the claim." People pay into short term disabilty in case they'll need. But hopefully you never will because Sedgwick will mislead you then deny you for their own gains.

I have been fighting with this company since September. They don't return calls and emails. If you're blessed to get a call back from them the person on the phone doesn't want to listen to you. They will ask you a question and then interrupt you and talk over you and later hang up on you. They don't honor their 24 business hour call back. As I am still waiting for calls and emails to be returned from three weeks ago. Occasionally when I call and I do get an actual person they say my rep has called me, emailed me, and they don't know what number and email I'm using because it isn't Sedgwicks; I am using the phone number and email that is attached directly to my Reps email she (Jalecia Robbins) sent me. Yet those missed calls if they don't go through to Jalecia Robbins they get rerouted to Sedgwick. They don't. I call Jalecia Robbins and it goes right to voicemail, it doesn't take me elsewhere. I have reported them to my states insurance commission.

I had surgery for a hernia, I got the surgeons office to fill out the fmla paperwork, on the very 1st page the question is Leave start date & Expected to return date in which the doctor filled out, sedgwick calls me this morning saying they can't approve my claim yet because the doctor didn't fill out question #5 on page #3, so I look (I have the paperwork) question #5 on page #3 is asking the very same question the doctor filled out on the very 1st page, what the heck is going on with this sedgwick company, I can see if my the reason for my surgery came from elsewhere but it didn't, it came from working for the huge client who sedgwick works for.

After complying with everything that Sedgwicks requested, they don’t do anything… very poor communication, no reply to phone messages… completely in the dark. Will not deal with a company that has them as a loss adjuster again.

They are worthless and an excuse for a claims management company. Their workers are lazy, incapable of reading documents, sending documents in a timely manner, wait until the last minute to do their job--i don't care about your case load. Sedgwick is worthless.

Absolutely pathetic customer service! It takes weeks for them to process paperwork. They do not return messages or calls or follow their own protocol. Steer clear of this company.

I honestly don't know how Yami Hernandez sleeps at night, the worse human being I've ever encountered. How do you deny someone a prosthetic finger? You know I need it. But whatever drag your feet another 3 months. They won't answer people's email or phone calls so I'll keep going to the head of HR for my company, that seems to be the only thing that works

Wow, with all of these reviews how can they still be operating in this space? I am 60 days out from my no fault accident.. car totaled.. and I have tried to call my “claims representative” 15 times at least and NOT ONCE.. has she answered the phone OR returned a call… NOT ONCE… emails take three DAYS to get a response and it is some snide remark claiming some third party for the delay… I went up the ladder, supervisor to supervisor. NO ONE calls back, this company is an all out CRIMINAL corporation. Someone shut them down!!

I filed a short term disability claim and was assigned Paul C. as my claims manager. He has not once communicated with me. I was also supposed to receive a packet upon initiation and have not received that, after two weeks. I have spoken to three different grants about my return to work date and two of them said the paperwork from my provider has been received, just not reviewed. The latest agent then informed me that form wasn’t returned and I still have no return to work date. The communication is atrocious. The first two agents were rude and every one of them lack appropriate customer service decorum and vocabulary. This is just another instance of insulting benefits from my healthcare employer.

Sedgwick is the dirtest bunch of liars, I have ever witnesses, I filed a complaint against them, with the commissioners office, the guy there turned his back, on the truth... I hope Patrick Morrsey fires everyone of them, I would name them all off but I'm filing a discrimination against everyone of them, Sedgwick, had three of the lowest lives a man could talk to. Money motivates them and the feather in the hat ,I'd be ashamed to say I worked for them.... YOu would have to be a professional liar to get a job there, not all of them but the ones I know, shame on you ..

They denied my short term disability after they sent me doctor's office invisible paperwork. They also claim they called my doctor's office and spoke to someone. That's a whole lie because all communication is sent to my digital patient chart. Denied me for something that I pay into. Gonna mess around and get the employer sued for more money than what's owed! Y'all suck!

Literally the worst experience of my life, and I wasn't even at fault. They do everything they can possibly do to drag everything out, they can't keep a story straight to save their lives, they'll ignore you non stop, but if you have someone else call for you, be ready to get an attitude. I've been fighting with for 6 months. It's December and they're still playing games with the payment. I expect there's going to be another delay since her neighbors grandmother's doctor's fish died, so that's going to be an extra 2 weeks minimum. They are in absolutely NO hurry to pay for their faults. When I try to call to escalate to someone else, I just get a different number with the same story. 8 numbers later I still don't have answers. I don't understand how this company is still around. I mean look at these reviews. It's godawful. The BBB as well as the NCDOI are doing investigations so hopefully the next person won't have to be treated this way.

We had a very disappointing experience. Our van was hit by a commercial vehicle that was covered by Sedgwick. It was difficult initially to even get ahold of anyone there. Eventually we were able to make contact (2 weeks?) and it was an absolute mess. They were dishonest and said they appraised my vehicle (I had it with me the whole time and it was never appraised) but couldn’t name by who or when the appraisal happened. Obviously it never was as I was driving my totaled vehicle around town for MONTHS because of how long this process took. While on the phone, I was told she was looking at photos of the inside of my van (Honda odyssey). I asked her to email me the pictures. They were photos of a trashed Toyota sedan…. They only offered me $7600 to replace my van and I sent them pages and pages of comps. They said almost every singe comp was unable to be used even though I followed their instructions exactly. The ones they could use did not change my offer because they use an undisclosed formula to calculate the value and each comp was weighted differently. It was so frustrating. I finally listened to advice of friends and went through my own insurance company (I had worried the subrogation process would be a mess). My insurance company first offered me over $10K for my van, but after they looked at it they fixed it literally in 2-3 days. So Sedgwick could have fixed it initially, or if not should have obviously paid more for the totaled vehicle. They were dishonest and responded SO slowly, sometimes took two weeks to hear back. The only positive is that they didn’t give my insurance company a difficult time in subrogation process. They were probably glad to see they had to spend less than their initial measly offering since the van was fixed at a lower cost. The whole thing was SUCH a headache!!!
