So my wife has had trouble with them since the day she started her claim. They keep getting info wrong and every time she corrects them they act like it didn't happen. Somehow they pulled from thin air that my wife was supposed to go see her doctor after only being out for two weeks and they could only approve her up to the visit until she went to the doctor. The doctors never wrote anywhere about a follow-up, in fact the doctors wanted her out for 3 whole months. Still waiting for the back pay to come in after the two week period got approved. Now also waiting for them to approve the extension that the doctor has already sent them all the info for multiple times and they keep claiming they see nothing on their end. Next step is for her to set up a 3 way call between her, Sedgwick, and the doctors because Sedgwick is incompetent.

Truthfully, yes they are nice people to talk to but communication is just not good. Given so much incorrect info and takes a while before you get response. Sorry but Sedgwick needs to do better for when you are sick, you do not need additional frustration.

I was in an auto accident with a tourist on Kauai. The other driver was at fault. The agent assigned to me, Melanie Dollison, is on the East coast so that’s a 6 hour time difference so it’s have to call really early before work. She rarely answers her phone and she will not return messages or emails. I tried to call the number of her supervisor which is on the message of her voicemail but it’s been disconnected. The body shop that is fixing my car needed supplemental funds and she won’t return the body shop’s messages. I can’t get my truck back until she pays. I asked about a rental and she said that I have to pay for it and then get reimbursed. I don’t have the money for a rental.

Sedgwick by far was the most caring and efficient company I had working with me after my accident at work.

Horrible customer service, claims management and website. Don't expect to get paid anytime soon while on leave.

I would give zero stars if I could. Since my spouse's company started using Sedgwick for FMLA, we've had nothing but extra stress added to our already stressful situation. I would love to call out a specific person by name who's made our lives hell with their lies and run around for the past two years. It takes a half hour to convince the person answering calls to let you even leave a message for a supervisor. I don't think there really are supervisors. No one's doing their job

I had a total loss of a piece of essential equipment at my business. The claim went to Sedgwick to handle and pure and simple, it was a nightmare. I founded and ran two businesses, one for 35 years, the other going on 13 years. A quick settlement was crucial. It was a very straight forward settlement that was bungled and pass around when my "REP" unexpectedly whent on vacation. The settlement took months. If check wiith your insurance company to see who settles the claims. My insurance company did a good job on a smaller claim years before, but this added unbelievable stress and financial burden and crippled my business for a good two years, not to mention the loss growth. Their website spiel would make a snake oil salesman proud!

The Absolute worst! The lowest of low level of SCUM insurance rats in the business! And the clients they represent are just as bad. Can't believe laws allow them to do what they do!

All these doctors and hospitals are in control with Sedgwick. They really don’t care. Get a lawyer and a news reporter. Their will investigate and shut them down.

Horrible experience!!! Sedgwick is a joke. Portal is useless, confusing and with no assistance. Response in the Chat are inaccurate and false. Definitely causes unnecessary confusion, stress & anxiety at time when we need support.

Total fraudulent company. They're in this for big corporation profits. No one is ever available. The call center is off site remote workers who then send a message to your rep... waiting to see if they're available and guess what? They never are!!! Another sham insurance protected by mega billion dollar corporations. Horrific customer service. Clueless would be an understatement

Never in my life have I ever been treated as poorly as these BOZOS. You can expect dropped calls on purpose, no returned calls and claims being dropped even with the approval still active. These folks are agnostic and arrogant. They don't CARE!!!

Communication is poor, you only know what to do when you ask, no direction is given, you have to do all of the legwork even though you sign and give them permission to contact the Dr for further information and office visit notes nope, they will do nothing for you, they are a source of stress and anxiety when you are supposed to be recovering from surgery..... Then there protocols are ridiculous, if the Dr says in the office visit you have to stay off work for 6 weeks to fully recover, but there protocols states that for the type of surgery you should be off for 4 weeks, they ignore the Dr, ignore any possible complications and give you the 4 weeks instead of the 6 weeks. They as a company are unethical, uncaring, unhelpful and certainly not displaying any kind of empathy, they are difficult to deal with. We had a storm that that left the Dr office and myself with no power, no telephone service or Internet which delayed getting my office visit notes to them to extend my leave, i missed my pay cutoff date and as a result went a month with no income, they didn't care, they offered nothing of benefit and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, they took not 24-48 hours to get the claim done as the time frame they give, they took 5-7 days, they don't communicate to tell you what is happening or why it is taking so long, not a professional company to deal with. If you can avoid dealing with them I would, the next time I am off for any kind of surgery I will be getting secondary insurance like Aflac and bypass these people.

It's always a hassle to get your FMLA renewed. Finally got my first claim approved for the year, and upon having to renew my FMLA magically they don't have the fax # I gave them last time to get my paperwork to my doctor. Presented me with a number that I did not give them, not sure if they are making numbers up or what. Absolutely ridiculous that they have the # from last year and can't seem to find it on file. Maybe a lack of communication on their part, or simply work for the companies people work for to deny claims or let them sit. This company makes it difficult for sick people to get the protections they need. Sedgwick is just as bad as unum.
