“Appalling company. DO NOT USE. Ordered two struts specifically because their web page said “with fixings” and “instructions supplied”. Package arrived damage, without required fixings an with no instructions. Three weeks of BS later, they finally offer to refund. Will NEVER use this company again.”
“Placed a order for next day delivery as I need the item to finish a job, all well and good so I thought! Nothing arrived the next day or the day after that so I contacted them and was told that it was out of stock even though it was in stock on their website and would be back in 8 days later and they would send it then! At this point I was fuming because the promise of next day was the reason I went there in the first place but wait I did as even though I’ve bought the item elsewhere which did arrive next day as promised I thought a back up would come in handy, now I’m 11 days in and even though they have had the item back in stock for the last 3 days on their website I’ve still not received it and the thing that annoys me the most is sgs has not contacted me at all and making me chase them for their incompetence. Obviously people need their tools for their livelihood and sgs don’t seem to care that failed promises on their end can cost businesses money. I’ll be contacting my bank tomorrow to see if I can get the cash back. Also don’t even bother trying to call them you have no chance!”
“shocking company DO NOT USE, sent a gas strut, called twice no luck, The problem is 'Tom' is not in according to Ryan, so I asked to speak to the MD or complaints, was transfererd to customer service and it rang out. Im now holding as 'caller No 10' in the cue.
Warning to all, dont use this company, this is not the first time I have had issues, sending goods to the incorrect address and refusing refund when I cancelled the item without deducting postage cost when it was their own fault. They are on p-ar with BT, no customer service or accountability.”

After 6 days no item arrived so emailed them only for them to say it was out of stock.
Taking money for stock you don’t have is just not right .
Now I’m being fobbed off with its going to take 14 days for a refund .

“Ordered gas struts. Was told they would arrive next day. Recieved an email 2 days later saying their courier was having problems. 1 week later and even after two further calls, item still hasn't arrived. Was promised a call back today within 2 hours. Nothing. If you want to use all your mobile call credit you can try their customer services.
No order confirmation so you don't get an order number if ordering over the phone, no confirmation of despatch. No reply to emails. Absolute liars. Sham of a company and a bunch of thieves.”

“I'd been given a second-hand strimmer which hadn't been used for a year and had a fault, so I contacted SGS who sent photos of how to take the strimmer apart, which I (a complete novice) did. They checked the photo I sent them of the part I'd removed, confirmed that it was faulty and arranged for a replacement to be sent to me. The company were friendly, patient and extremely helpful 😀”

“Bought a strimmer/ brushcutter back in july used the line attatchment supplied, machine was used 5 times and fell apart with strimmer head breaking of shaft, safety button broke, pull cord broke, and the bracket on the shaft holding the strimmer/blade part broke of aswell was contacted when this happened 3 weeks after purchase still not recieved parts or offer of replacement strimmer, constant lies from customer service when you call them definately wouldnt buy again will be asking for refund from paypal hopefully that either makes sgs act on the replacment machine or parts or im issued refund”
“I purchased a parts washer from SGS which arrived when expected. It was extremely well packaged. On assembly I found that there was a missing vital component. I phoned SGS and explained the problem giving them the part number from the assembly diagram. After sending them a photo of the part assembly SGS agreed to send me the missing component. That arrived within the week mainly being delayed by the courier company. All I can say is that the quality of the SGS parts washer is excellent and eclipsed by the service I received when something was wrong.”
“Purchased a 5 in 1 multi tool (https://www.sgs-engineering.com/gpm501-52cc-five-in-one-multi-tool) in August, The product stopped working in under 2 hours from removing the unit from the box and is still non functional in my garage in October. The company only bother to reply with a standard email telling you how to start the engine which doesn’t solve the problem and to say the products they sell products similar quality to Stihl what a joke then they don’t reply to any communication at all. This case is now with the credit card company as you get nowhere contacting this company. This companies’ customer service is possibly one of the worst I have had the misfortune to deal with. I would have rated them at 0 stars, but it wasn't available. If you want a product that doesn't work and customer service that is shocking, then buy from this company but I would avoid at all costs and find a supplier that offers better service and better quality products.”
“Excellent product ( 2.5ton Aluminium trolley jack ). More significantly is that when the couriers lost the initial jack prior to delivery SGS were exemplary in their customer support dispatching a replacement which arrived the following day. The outcome was good and very importantly the way in which the staff provided help and resolved the issue was kind and supportive.”
