I'm not the type to go out of my way and write reviews, but i never ever received such bad customer service in my entire life. I ordered my internet and booked an engineer visit. I called back straight after the phone call and spoke to a sales person as i was interested in the TV channels, but the guy advised me that he cannot be help me until the engineer visits my home and makes the connection life. He was extremely angry that i called his line and he couldn't make a sale to me. he mentioned how his line was monitored and records how many sales he makes. I was telling me how bad his colleagues were. I found that extremely disrespectful. Anyways i took annual leave from work so that the engineer can visit my home to make the connection. The engineer arrives and tells me talk talk booked him by accident because all the lines are connected and that he cannot do anything. My house is a new build property. I immediately called talk talk and they advised me not to worry as the second engineer will go to my local cabinet and make the connection. I was was waiting around all day and i still have no internet. I called up talk talk the next day only to find out that they can no longer offer me a service as i do not have copper lines in my house and advised me to cancel the contract. But they should have known this from the beginning. They never asked me whether i have copper lines or not. Now i wasted over 2 weeks of my time. The next day the complaints manager calls me and confirms that i have been given misleading information and that they can now provide me a service as i have fiber lines. after being on the phone for 3 hours i had to re order my internet again from the beginning. 2 weeks later the engineer comes to my property only to say the same thing. All my connections are fine and the internet should be starting automatically. Next day i called up Talk Talk and they said the engineer said the customer wasn't aware of the attendance which was a total lie. I spoke to the engineer myself. So after another 3 hours being on the phone they re booked another engineer for some reason and they mentioned if i dont have copper wires going to the cabinet then they cannot offer me the service. At this stage you can only imagine how frustrated i am. over 4 weeks wasted and numerous long phone calls to talk talk. I'm a contractor so i loose out on a lot of money every time i take a day off. Now i'm waiting for the engineer to come over. I have a feeling they will mess me around again. The amount of stress and anxiety talk talk have caused me is beyond acceptable and they did not offer me any compensation what so ever. All the employees sound like robots and are of no use at all. They don't fully understand the service they provide. Till this day i am unsure as to what the engineer is doing. Very very poor service. If i switch providers i will loose out on more time. I feel helpless and stuck with this rubbish company. Thank you for read my review. I will not recommend Talk Talk to anyone at this stage. I can only imagine trying to call them for bad internet connection. They will drive you up the wall.

Package price 0.5 out of 5 Customer service 0.5 out of 5 Broadband speed 2 out of 5 Overall satisfaction 0.5 out of 5 DO NOT USE TALK TALK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. When my account was due for renewal, I tried phoning, emailing, tried to find their chat online but just got write to such and such address or phone. Eventually got through and spoke to a man and I could not understand a word he said, I asked to be put through to a manager several times and was ignored and he persisted to speak fast despite my repeatedly saying I could not understand him. The upshot was I said I would stop my standing order. After weeks and hours on the phone repeating the same thing I was cut off broadband and phone. The only number I could get was to pay Talk Talk's outrageous bill. Today they are now trying to charge me for the time they cut me off, and the lady said they could bill me up until 2020. I said they could not bill me for services they had cut me off from and we had no contract and I have made other arrangements. I have reserved my position against them and said if they tried to enforce a contract which did not exist I would counterclaim and that they can now only contact me in writing etc. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

TalkTalk is a right pain, not only do they think it is ok for their staff to scam call customers many many times a day from India they also think its ok to overcharge when the contract is up and refuse to refund overpaid credit, example I switched to sky, my bill every month with TalkTalk was £27 per month on closing they took out £77.76 and totally refused to give overpayment money back. I'm well rid of them, do yourself a favour and don't bother with them if they look cheap, they are in more ways than one, I have phoned many times to get a refund, after 4 months they agreed to give back £26.11

I switched for a cheaper provider and what a mistake that was! I got a phone to upgrade to optic fibre for a little extra so obviously I did, he also added on a TV package at a special price but assured me that they would ring before the TV package increased in price. This didn’t happen and one month my bill suddenly increased to what I was paying with BT (£47) but with half of the stuff e.g ability to record! I spent 2 hours on the phone, i spoke to 3 people one of which refused to put me through to a manager initially! The other ‘technical’ support was a complete joke, tried to sell me extra boosters etc, I live in a small 2 bed house, the issue is clearly with the provider as I’ve had no problems with the other internet companies. I explained how I had yo turn my 4G on in thd morning and late at night because the wifi didn’t work, he told me nothing is flagging up so after 2 hours of my life had disappeared it was basically there’s nothing we can do! This is by far the worst internet provider I’ve ever experienced, and it’s not even that cheap once they add all the extras on, this is basically a com! Customer service is appalling and useless! I honestly would avoid at all costs!

Decent price and good internet speed, however when I've had an issue the customer service was ridiculously bad. They tried to charge me £40 for an engineer to visit to fix an issue with their box as they can 'no longer send an engineer for free' even though the tv box was faulty. Eventually resolved after 45 minutes on their internet chat, followed by a 45 minute wait to speak to a manger and a further 40 minutes of diagnostic checks.

Awful service! I have now left Talk Talk and they own me money, but would not refund. My last month with talk talk was only 11 days of the month, but they told me I have to pay for the full month and then request refund later. I did as I told and guess what - they only refunding me for 10 days instead of 20!!! I have been chatting to people online who I'm sure are just using a pre-approval script of answers or have a list of responses on there screens, I phoned them and manager female was so rude to me, she blamed me as I am making up stories that I never give notice of leaving !!! I have saved my online chat when I did told of leaving them, but manager ignoring me saying I can forward it to her. They are thief's!!

Very bad experience when contracted customer service to cancel the contract. My contract was supposed to end in March 2019 and contracted the team in February to request cancellation. I received a bill again in April and when I contacted the customer service I was told that my account is still active and there is no request for cancellation. I spent nearly two hours chatting with the team and I was promised that my account will discontinue in 10/04/19. On 13/04/19 I did contacted talk talk customer service to check this and I was told that my account is still active and it takes one more month to cancel the account. Really disappointed with the service and this is my first bad experience. Don’t recommend talk talk to any one. Very poor customer service.

Sent a concise Complaint Letter to the address in Salford (found on back of Bill) in the hopes that things could be sorted out as quickly as possible. With the hopes of dealing with one individual who is based in the UK. i.,e. Salford. No acknowledgement of letter. Ring the number quoted and you are through to the Philippines, South Africa, etc. Different representative every time. Follow up calls that consist of reiterating what has been discussed several times before to various so called Managers' and not at the specified times. Then all the "Just Hold the Line please" business. What a complete waste of their time and mine. Oftel and Ombudsman here I come. Out of all this I can quote just one name of a representative I spoke to who acknowledged that they understood my concerns and tried their best to help. Thank you Josh.

Avoid this company at all costs, had my worst dealings with them ever... I had my final bill when l left them to go with another consumer for my broadband which l paid then only to be told that l had to pay an extra £66 and they sneakily sent this bill to the debt agency without warning me so Please STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE NO GOOD AND A BUNCH OF CHEATS AND MONEY GRABBERS THATS MY THOUGHTS.... I WONT BE BACK...

Poor customer service. Told I'd be called back on numerous occasions - they never did. Want me to pay for services not received. Broadband didn't work. Forget that one star too.

Poor standard of service below promised contractual agreement No UK call center service via online chat which could be alright if they just did what you asked. My contract was for telephone and fiber plus broadband speed between 60 and 80 meg download average was more like 6 to 10 meg. I contacted the company several time's to say how slow my connection was but it was just a waste of time they said they could send out a engineer but if they could not find a fault I would have to pay. even though I had used there online speed test and it showed how slow my download speed was. So i shall not be renewing my contract and finding a more reliable provider.

Shocking internet service - it goes down often. Support is nigh impossible to get through to via phone - then, when you do - they are not at all helpful. Their customer service department is totally incompetent. So try to save a few pounds on your provider.. you end up paying for it in the end! Would NEVER use them again. Cambridge.

Recieved a new hub several days ago it is not working. After spending a small fortune phoning customer service and several hours on live chat it still has not been resolved. I never received a welcome package or the landline number I was promised. Talk Talk has been an absolute nightmare of getting passed from pillar to post with no resolve to my problem. I would strongly advise this company be avoided like the plague.

I need to view all websites but they restrict this. It is impossible to remove their "Worksafe" option. The page where you are supposed to be able to remove it does not load. Creating a ticket to have it fixed simply gets closed after a few days with no resolution. Writing to them becomes even more complicated as they ask for security answers to be send via post claiming the Data Protection Act requires it, yet asking for that to be sent through the post goes against the act!! You don't get the email address of someone, the name on the letters is of someone who doesn't exist as far as online support is concerned, They simply run you around the houses so they don't have to fix the problem.

No No No No No to talk talk It’s one of the worst broad band services. All over year I have experienced poor connection and connection drop outs. Customer services is far more worst than imagination. I have vacated my property , they are asking me to transfer my account to who ever coming to property next ?? What ?? How in this whole world would I know who is coming next in to the property I am vacating. I tried to speak to them many times. They keep on transferring calls to other departments. Each time I spend more than an hour over phone - result nothing. I would definitely say a very big No to talk talk - It’s frustrating and useless , waste of money and time.

I was a long time customer of talktalk, why? Price. That's the only good part of being with talktalk. Where to begin with the bad? Well, half a year in to my first contract, I had no internet signal whatsoever. I contacted talktalk, who said there was no issue, I must have set up the router wrong, when I questioned how it had been running fine for 6 months if I set it up fine, the agent started to state I was lying about the issue. Engineer was finally sent out 2 weeks after my 1st complaint, and it was found that the wire beyond my property boundary had been completely severed! So I most surely was not lying, which talktalk were trying to accuse me of doing. After this, I was offered compensation and an upgrade on my package for a 12 month period, which I accepted. When moving from the property to a property that had Virgin already installed, I called talktalk to inform them of the move and to enquire how much it would cost to finish the contract early, expecting to have a few months left. At this point I found out they'd actually put me on a 24 month contract as opposed to the 12 month upgrade! Which meant that it would be extortionate for me to leave early. I agreed to an engineer attending to remove the virgin equipment and install the talktalk equipment. When arranging I was informed that no one needed to be present at the property when the installation was taking place, I questioned this as there was a different type of connection altogether in place, 2 managers confirmed that I didn't need to be present. Fast forward a week after I moved property, I get a phonecall whilst at work from the engineer asking where I was, informed him of what I was told, he stated it was wrong, and that he'd have to come back, he told me to request a weekend appointment to fit around my work. I called talktalk to rearrange the visit, to be told I was being hit with a £70 missed appointment fee, which took 3 hours of arguing to expunge, I then attempted to book the new appointment on a weekend, to be told the engineers don't work weekends, and the accusations of the engineer lying started to fly! A few days of calling and arguing i caved and accepted a weekday appointment. Installation then went smoothly. The next bill arrived, with a £70 fee! More phonecalls, I had to demand an investigation, 2 weeks later I called to be told I was not allowed to know the outcome of the investigation that determined whether I needed to pay a £70 fee for being misinformed by 2 managers, so more arguing ensued. The fee was eventually refunded through means of me not paying a bill for a few months, and a little bit of compensation was given. An issue that had fallen to the sidelines was the fact that the TV connection was not working, I attempted to resolve this through the online chat, and was met with the same issue I had with the severed cable, 'sir, everything is fine on our end, you have installed the equipment wrong'. I gave up and haven't used the TV package for 14 months even though I pay extra for it. Fast forward to February of this year, my contract is coming up for renewal!!! Great! I can finally leave talktalk! I contact virgin, get a set up date, they contact talktalk to make them aware I'm leaving. A week before leaving, I get a bill, which is billed a month in advance??? I call talktalk, inform them that I'm leaving a day after the bill is taken, so is the amount correct considering I'm with them for 1 day of that billing month? Yes, £30 for one day is correct, I then had to explain multiple times to the agent that I was leaving, it finally sank in what I was saying, and I was informed that when the transfer was complete I would receive a revised bill and a refund. Fast forward to today, I've been gone from talktalk since the beginning of this month, and I've just received another bill!!! I contact talktalk to be told I have to pay the bill as my account hasn't been cancelled and it's all my fault for not contacting them 30 days before leaving as '30 day notice is required to leave any contract', I point out that I am no longer in a contract, I am no longer a customer and that I can't pay the bill as the direct debit is cancelled and that they should be paying me!!! 2 hours and still not resolved. Ofcom will be contacted! My advice, pay a little extra and go elsewhere, talktalk are a shocking company, if I had one bad experience I wouldn't think anything of it, but it's consistently been a nightmare!!!
