“I got pork tamales which I love but found them tasteless with a lack of flavor, even the masa covering was very plain, being a tamale effectionado, I was disappointed, especially since New Mexico is known to be the best..just giving an honest appraisal.”

“Great products! I rarely make enchilada sauce from dry pods or powder as long as I have your sauce in a jar. The mixed green and red chile is awesome!”

“So I'm not sure how to complete the rating. Service and communication was good regarding my order. The order arrived on time and was still frozen. The order was 2 dozen tamales- green chile &cheese, red chile pork tamales. The masa on both kinds was flavorful and fluffy and just the right amount. The red chile pork tamales were good. I have had 2 green chile & cheese tamales and have been unable to find or tast any cheese plus the amount of chile was inconsistent-barely enough on one and just the right amount on the other (the chile had a very good flavor). Unfortunately the jury is still out. Just received a new batch of green Chile/cheese tamales (courtesy of Daniel) to try. They were delicious !”

“Since our trip to NM in October we have been obsessed with Hatch red chili. We were very excited to get our two orders for the red chili pork tamales for Christmas eve. My husband was born and raised in NM. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We found the tamales to be dry, not enough filling and no more red chili flavor than any other tamale we have had in Oregon.”

“We have always loved the Hatch Chili. Since coming into the service (Navy) I didn't know we could get it mailed...So here we find out we can. Ordered Red and Green Chili for the Holidays and LOVED every bit of them and of course froze some for later. The process was easy and the chili got here quickly. Talamles, enchiladas, Chili Rellenos and Chilic con Carne was had by all for Christmas Family DInner. Thanks to Daniel for the support and great help she provided in our order. Recommend to all who love chili with great favor and taste. Ordering more soon..THANKS!!!!!!!!”

“I ordered a dozen green chile chicken tamales for the holidays. The tamales had an odd paper-thin corn husk on them, the masa was under-seasoned and the tamales could've used much more chile in them. They were just okay, but I expected more because of the cost. I assume that they are extra expensive because of the shipping with dry ice, but they weren't anything I would order again.”

“We just moved to southern Missouri and could not find frozen green chili's anywhere. Thank goodness for a Facebook ad that steered us to The Hatch Chili Store. I make my own green Chile and canned chilies are not the same. When we received the shipment we immediately opened the box and they were still frozen. We highly recommend their business and green chili. Will try some of their other products in the future. Chris”

“Broad selection of unique Hatch Chile-based products. The freeze-dried salsa is amazing as are the Red Chile Pecans. Looking forward to steaming up some of the Cheese- Green Hatch Chile tamales. Unfortunately the Chile Rellenos just don't cook up well in my air fryer: very bready dough that never crispens and waaaaaaay too many seeds inside. Just inedible. That $70 would've been better spent on more tamales, maybe the delicious-sounding Pork ones.”

Hi Shari, Sorry to hear that you did not like the rellenos. Do you still have some? If so, I recommend giving them at least 15 minutes outside of the freezer to defrost, then pan-frying them or baking them in the oven. This might help to cook them more thoroughly. “I used the Hatch Red Chile Sauce this year for my posole. I didn’t have time to rehydrate chiles. The sauce is heavenly ! I also used red Chile tortillas for stacked enchiladas . Both are now a staple in my home. Those tortillas are simply delicious . Just a tiny bit of heat but not too much for those in my home who can’t handle much heat.”

“Ordered 3 products and have tried 2 so far. 1: The green chile cheese tamales had absolutely NO CHEESE in them and not as much chile as I had hoped for. They were extremely dry and the masa stuck to the husks and completely fell apart. Very disappointed. Description mentioned gooey cheese - and we got none at all. 2: Chile rellenos - much better than the tamales but still not what we had hoped for. Good amount of cheese, chiles were fine but way too much breading and it was soggy on the inside. We cooked per instructions in the airfryer and actually added 4 minutes to the time but breading still not cooked. 3: frozen green chiles - not expecting any issues with the straight chiles. Will not purchase tamales or rellenos again.”
