“Would have been 5 but their warehouse issues almost gave them a one star review. Not a fan of their new boxing of frozen chile either but as long as I get it straight to the freezer when it gets here I don't get the frostbite. When we first started using The Hatch Chile Store the chile got to us frozen. Now it is getting to us thawing out. Overall The Hatch Chile store has been great to me over the years. Their chile is really good and their support when I have had issues has been very responsive.”

“They cannot seem to organize their shipping department. I ordered frozen green chile and it was shipped with no shipping notice from the seller, no tracking notice from the shipper, and no label on the box that it was perishable. Thus, it arrived while I was traveling and although I had made arrangements to have all mail brought inside my home in my absence, there was absolutely no indication that unpacking was needed. So I returned home to a fetid mess. The store acknowledged that they were having trouble with the transition to a new shipper and they offered to resend the order, which was kind. However, at the same time I purchased an additional product (tamales and rellenos) to the second order, which was shipped in a separate box. And the second box with the additional product suffered from the same original problem! No tracking notice, no label that it was perishable , and no indication for the person bringing in the packages that it should be unpacked. I travel a great deal for work, and again this package was left to rot inside my house by the person who brought in my mail- who successfully unpacked and put away the one package with reshipped green chile, because I had been given adequate info to prepare! So, buyer beware- if you can sit in front of your door or delivery location 24 hours a day, seven days a week and pounce the moment something arrives, you may as well take your chances. I need to work in a location that is not in my home, so that is not available to me as an option.. Fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me. I will never order from them again.”

“Super happy to receive my chile ristra yesterday. The 2.5' brilliant red ristra arrived in perfect condition and was hung within minutes. I ordered the treated ristra because I live in a higher humidity climate and hope treated provides better longevity. It is not a common thing to display in S. California but I am so happy to have a bit of New Mexico hanging from my front entry now.”

“Excellent chile! I was surprised that the medium hot chile didnā€™t seem as hot as it has been in years past. It seems very mild. When I add 10 pods to my pesoli there isnā€™t a hint of a kick. So I have either increased my tolerance or they have weakened a bit. I know now that I need to order some hot. Thanks for the great chile!”

“I have ordered many items from the store and their selection of delicious NM chile products is great! I especially love the salsas and sauces and chile seasonings. I recently ordered 4 packs of frozen tamales and was a bit disappointed in the quality for the price. One of the packs of green chile cheese arrived opened, and I had to throw them away. The others were really bland and barely had any filling in them. They are also wrapped in wax paper instead of corn husks. I wouldn't order the frozen tamales again, but will still order other items from the store.”
