“I got the Chile Rellenos because I have enjoyed them in the past. It seems that they changed the recipe as the dough coating was much heavier and doughy than it was previously. I didn't enjoy them that much.”

“I’m so sad that this order was never received. I placed it on December 2 and it finally shipped a week ago. It is stuck at the facility now. This was meant to be a gift for my dad.”

“We are a repeating buyer. We use this chili’s in recipes, add as a topping to tamales, etc. the flavor and spice this brings to our meals is phenomenal. If you haven’t tried, stop procrastinating and do, you will not regret. We buy the xhot.”

“The Hatch products are excellent, especially the fresh and frozen green chilis. There does seem to be an opportunity for the company to improve the order-packing process. Received my latest order on schedule, but it was missing roughly half the shipment (three jars of chile sauce) even though the packing list showed all items were boxed. Fortunately, this order was not a gift. I used the Hatch chat line immediately to report the issue. Daniel assisted me promptly and shipped a make-up order the same day; I expect to receive the replacements in about a week. I have also had to contact customer service on a prior order and my concerns at that time were also resolved quickly. Despite a few order challenges, Hatch remains one of our favorite online vendors for specialty foods.”

“Box arrived very damaged, asked for an exchange this is a gift, not risking compromise to family, was told no. Tried to return for refund, was told I'd have to pay for shipping. Not happy at all, will not order from this company again! Next step is filing complaint with PayPal for refund! In response: This was a gift order, as I said in my email when asking for an exchange, if I wouldn't risk it myself, I wouldn't risk my families health if there was even the slightest bit of compromise. The box was obviously banged and shifted a lot by the damage and openings. All I wanted was an exchange. Family happy I didn't chance it! Happy with my decision not to risk it. Unhappy your company wouldn't exchange! Lost possible future customers...”

Hello Lisa, We want to make it clear that none of the products you received were damaged. Though the shipping box was damaged, there was no evidence that the product inside was compromised in any way. We also advised that you could exchange the product if you paid for the return shipping, as we do not normally offer returns. We are always willing to replace or refund any damaged items, but we were not able to identify any issues with the items you received. As transplanted New Mexicans, it is such a treat to enjoy the fresh green & red Chile from home now that we live in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state!”

“I received my ristras last evening and couldn’t be happier! They were delivered within 3 days of my order and arrived in beautiful condition, bright rich red color, and smell wonderfully fresh. Over the years I’ve ordered chile in several different forms from the Hatch Chile Store, and have never been disappointed. This is a great company!! Wonderful products and fair prices. :)”

Hi Cynthia, Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the chile. The chile was likely smaller this year because of our troubled crop. We had an intense heat wave and this led to all kinds of changes in the plant that we could not predict or control. More specifically, this led to a lot of the chile being smaller.
