“The pork tamales arrived slightly thawed but ok. I display my ignorance here but I find them quite dry and suspect that they need to have a sauce of some sort. Is there a traditional sauce for this tamale? Thanks, DougO”

“Food tastes great. When we got the food one of the packages of chili rellanos was ripped on the bottom and I had to throw away 4 chili rellanos.”

“The store and service is great, and my family loves the roasted chiles. However, I will not purchase the biscochitos again. the flavor was fine, but the remaining cookie crumbled after the first bite. You have to either eat them frozen, or pop the entire cookie into your mouth.”

“My Chile’s arrived on time, cold and fresh. I was disappointed to see them shipped in a styrofoam container. Styrofoam is very difficult to recycle and bad for the environment. I read recently that there is a company making a similar product out of plant material and mushroom spores. I suggest the Hatch Chile Store look into using that!”

“The website was a little bit of a pain. I had a discount code, but it wouldn't accept it (just got it in the email an hour before). So I was annoyed with that. It all arrived in a gigantic box -- far larger than necessary with a huge, non-recyclable cooler thing. Maybe take a look at Hello Fresh and other meal companies and how they are streamlining their packaging to use all recyclables.”

“The chopped Big Jim was very well packaged, frozen in dry ice. Shipping was delayed but I did get information, communication was good not great. The chile was medium hot, good flavor. It’s pricey but better than anything in grocery stores, I would buy it again.”

“Been ordering from you for years and have always been satisfied with both the service and quality of the products. This years experience wasn’t as solid as in years past - primarily the communication from you about the order and status of delivery. I ordered early, yet didn’t appear to get a confirmation email, the website said that orders would ship ‘late October’ so I didn’t think about it until early November at which point I reached out through the website and email to no avail. I finally called and had my message returned with the product coming as promised on the call. Tighten up the communications and I will continue to be a 15 plus lbs a year customer.”

“I bought two orders of 5 lb hatch chili’s on pre order. The gift order shipped to my brother as soon as chili’s were available. Since I never got a notice that my order was being shipped as well, decided to call. Phone was answered by a very nice gal who didn’t even have to look my order up while I waited on hold. She apologized for my order not going out with the other and said she would put it at the top of the list to go out first thing. I just got the feeling that I wasn’t dealing with some customer service dept. but actually part of the family that runs the place. Love supporting family run businesses. Plus, their chili’s are to die for.”
