“Ok well I gave 4 stars only because the first order I received was completely damaged. I will have to say customer service was excellent and as soon as they received my e-mail they sent two more jars out. Received both jars intact and within the week. This has to be the best chopped chili sauce I have ever tasted. I ordered both the green and the red and both are amazing. Not sure I can eat both jars in 7 days like it says on the jars but we will try !! LOL .”

“I ordered the green chile as a gift and it was delivered to my friend Connor Kelley. I love green chile and so does Connor. The Hatch Chile store is the best resource for good green Chile if you live outside of the Southwestern US.”

“It is now 12/4/23, and I haven't received my order yet. When I placed the order, I placed an identical order in my brothers name. He received his last week, but mine has yet to arrive. When should I expect my order to arrive?”

Good morning, Your order was shipped on November 29. This was the same day your brother's was shipped. We are not sure why there was a delay. “The mild is much too spicy for me. Can't eat it. I'll have to figure out a way to dilute it. Shame really. I was so looking forward to tasting these Chili's.”

“Your chile is excellent!! The ONLY REASON I gave you three stars is that my order for hot and mild chile was mixed up. I ordered 3 lbs. mild, 3 lbs. medium and 2 lbs. hot. What I received was 2 lbs. mild, 3 lbs medium, and 3 lbs. hot. I also recognize that this is an honest mistake that anyone could make. I look forward to making carne adovada, Texas chili, red chile ribs, etc. with your chile as the featured spice. Mistake rectified with unprecendented speed. Rating raised to four stars!”

“Our 2 beautiful 30” decorative ristras arrived in perfect condition and look great hanging on our front porch. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because my credit card was charged when the ristras were ordered (6-1/2 weeks before they were shipped) instead of, as is more proper and in accordances with accepted accounting principles, when the ristras were shipped.”

“I've placed 3 orders with HCS. The green Chiles have been received, the pinto beans have been delivered, But! The Chile Ristra I ordered has not been received in spite of UPS claiming it was delivered on November 22, 2023. This review was posted on November 23,2023”

“I ordered frozen roasted green chili as well as powdered red chili. The green chili came quickly and here two weeks later I have already enjoyed two pounds of it. The red chili I have yet to receive which is extremely disappointing because I ordered it days in advance of the cut off for Thanksgiving and it hasn’t been shipped so I don’t have it for turkey day. What’s the most disappointing is that I called the day before Thanksgiving and I was told that they unexpectedly ran out of the powder chili so they could not ship for a few weeks….yet I was never updated about this and had I never called I would have just waited and waited. The least you guys could do is inform your client that the chili that was ordered according to your stated cut off for Thanksgiving wasn’t going ti make in time after all.”

“Would have been 5 but their warehouse issues almost gave them a one star review. Not a fan of their new boxing of frozen chile either but as long as I get it straight to the freezer when it gets here I don't get the frostbite. When we first started using The Hatch Chile Store the chile got to us frozen. Now it is getting to us thawing out. Overall The Hatch Chile store has been great to me over the years. Their chile is really good and their support when I have had issues has been very responsive.”

“Excellent chile! I was surprised that the medium hot chile didn’t seem as hot as it has been in years past. It seems very mild. When I add 10 pods to my pesoli there isn’t a hint of a kick. So I have either increased my tolerance or they have weakened a bit. I know now that I need to order some hot. Thanks for the great chile!”

“I have ordered many items from the store and their selection of delicious NM chile products is great! I especially love the salsas and sauces and chile seasonings. I recently ordered 4 packs of frozen tamales and was a bit disappointed in the quality for the price. One of the packs of green chile cheese arrived opened, and I had to throw them away. The others were really bland and barely had any filling in them. They are also wrapped in wax paper instead of corn husks. I wouldn't order the frozen tamales again, but will still order other items from the store.”

“Love your products. Had a little bit of an issue with my last order. I saw the message that you were changing distribution locations and my order might take longer. I was ok with that. Placed the order. Several weeks later I had to go out of town so I e mailed for a status update. on the 31st I was told you expected to be caught up by the end of the following week. I left town and got an e mail the next day that my shippment was on the way. Showed up two days later. By the time I found someone to go get it and put it in their freezer we had lost the hatch chili rellenos because they didnt have room for it all and couldn't get in my house. not mad and still love your products just wish I had some better communication on delivery. Can't put everything on hold waiting on a delivery that I had no idea when it was coming.”

“Great products. I just wish it wouldn’t take 2-3 weeks for any order to get to me. Even the jarred products. Aside from that, the chile’s are always fantastic and the sauces are better than any other that’s not homemade.”

“I ordered 10 lbs in 5 lbs packages of both medium and hot pods and chopped green chile. I really love to peel the skins off the chile but the Hatch Chile Store only provides skinless whole and chopped Green Chile. I believe that freezing the chiles with their skins on helps the roasted/toasted flavor of the peeling on the chile flesh. I love to make my own green sauces using a combination of the hot and medium chiles and use either cubed pork or cubed beef that imparts a full-bodied chile flavor that I grew up with as a northern New Mexico-born and bred former resident. with both Native Pueblo, Apache, and Hispanic DNA.”

“When I receive my order, my chilies were all wet. The egg was everywhere very very messy. I will never ordered anything that’s frozen again. I will order your chilies in a jar or anything that does not have any breading on it.”

“Hello, I live in Alabama and it’s really hard to find some good quality chili, so this is why I shop for chili at hatch. i’m hoping next year that hatch will have extra hot chili because we like it sort of spicy with good flavor and unfortunately. y’all run out of posole mix real fast because online it says it’s sold out. I’m hoping that you all have the opportunity to get some more posole packs ready in the near future. Other than that I really enjoy shopping at hatch for our needs. Thank you.”

“I have access to green Chile where I live in NY. I had never bought red Chile pods before, even when I lived in NM. It was always Green. So I decided to try fresh Red Chile pods. I was excited to try them. They came by when they said. My only disappointment is the number of red Chiles. I would estimate 1/3 was red, 1/3 was red and green and 1/3 was green. For the price paid, it should have been almost entirely red.”
