I grew up in Showlow, Arizona . now I live in Humboldt County California. California chilies are nothing like hatch chilies and I’m happy you guys are able to send them

Quality is great and conveniently ready to go. The only reason for 4 stars is because, as a cowgirl from New Mexico, I'd like some Xtra Hot chili's. But, these are way hot enough for the average wanna-be. Made the best fresh charred white corn and green chili salsa - they loved it!

I ordered the Big Jim variety. The order sent was mild. I was so looking forward to making the dishes I'm accustomed to with that level of hotness. Honestly i dont know if or how to refer someone. I would feel horrible if they were not satisfied with the money they spent. It would be good business to at least refund or send me some hot green chilies to assure my future business. We love the chili rellenos but have a problem with packaging/labeling. The shipping box does not show that refrigeration is necessary, so packages are not refrigerated on arrival. Our rellenos (and roasted chilies in a previous order) arrived partially thawed. All the dry ice was gone. Can you have the box labeled to show it should be refrigerated? Also I never received notice of shipping.

I used some of the green chilis for green chili and pork stew. The flavor is great: hot but not too hot. My only complaint is that my order was partially thawed when I received it. Maybe I just didn't see it, but expedited shipping (overnight, one day) would be good.

I ordered the medium and didn't think it would be that hot. Has a great taste, but I won't be ordering anything else. Way to hot to be a medium.

The green chiles arrived in great shape. I roasted them immediately. They are fantastic. The only suggestion I have is to either remove that extra fee to "make sure your order is delivered fresh." The only option is to pay for overnight shipping (I paid almost $30 for that). It really doesn't make sense to charge an extra $6 for what I'm already supposed to be paying for. Then afterward another email encouraging to add that fee. That sales method is such a deterrent. I so want to like this store. I reached out to Hatch Chile Store about it and received a terse email that the extra fee is to accommodate for hot weather and porch pirates. I think a better explanation should be included on the website when checking out. Otherwise, this just feels so shady and I don't get the impression that this establishment is that way. Anyway, I'm addicted to the chiles and the spices. The recipes are like eye candy. Obsessed.

I ordered 2 boxes. My medium box was awesome. Half of my hot was spoiled and unusable. They did offer 50% off my next order.

Thanks had a good experience. I suppose I misunderstood what “2nd Day Air” meant. I placed my order on a Tuesday and it arrived seven days later on the following Monday. So was it two business days from the day it was shipped? If so, would that mean my order was placed on a Tuesday, then it was being filled and processed for two more days, then shipped on day 4, and then arrived on day 7? So what does 2nd day air actually mean.

The product is fabulous. Not knowing when it was getting there was a stretch, but it all worked out fine! Continue on as you are, it’s one of my top food places to purchase

This was my third year ordering peppers. The prior two years were excellent. This year was not. The shipment was supposed to arrive on a Thursday. It did not arrive until the following Monday. Four extra days on a hot truck resulted in many peppers being mushy and had to be thrown away (at least 30 peppers from a 25 pound order). Plus, many of the stems were black and shriveled. This indicates to me the peppers were picked several days before shipment. On the positive side, when I reported the shipment problem, the company responded by sending me 10 pounds of peppers, which I hope t receive this week. This resulted in my going from 1 star to 4 stars.

the chili i got this year I had more bad chili than the past two years. The last two years, I only had two bad chilis that were rotten. This year I had 25 bad chilis. But, I do know it was hotter this year in New Mexico and my box was seeping a little from the chili that was bad. Overall, the taste of the chili is great. I will order next year and hopefully next year I won't have many bad chilis. Thank you
