“Purchased a 2’ treated Chile String from Hatch Chile Store. Ordering was easy, shipment was on time. Chiles were as described. The Chile string was minimally packaged so there were some 6 broken Chilies . The treated process was in good condition. The price was on the “High” side for product received. 4 star rating was a result of price and shipment damage.”

Hello , Thank you for the feedback, please check to see if the product is still cold to the touch upon delivery. Even if it has defrosted a bit in transit, it is safe to refreeze and consume as long as it is cold. “Rcvd my red chili ristra, looks fresh and yummy. I love Hatch Chili and what you bring to many communities like the beauty and taste. I appreciate you adding the extra $ for in case you rcv a bad shipment or your order gets stolen. My order got stolen last year and Hatch didn't do anything to get it replaced and of course they had a pic that it was delivered. I'm assuming now paying a lil extra your guaranteed to get it redelivered if you have this problem again. I got mine this time and it's great. Thank you Hatch”

“The Hatch, Chile Store itself is an opportunity to support local farmers now that I am a New Mexico resident. I like that. I ordered six jars of mild green chili sauce, and it is truly tasteful and delightful. In my opinion, the ordering form is confusing and could be significantly improved.”

“This chili is good , I'm not sure if it's made to be a salsa or an additve. I used it and added salt and lime and greatly enhanced the flavor for salsa. This product is natural and would buy it again. A lot of possibilities here”

Hello Mike, We appreciate the feedback! You ordered our Red & Green Chile Blend. These are jars of pure chile. While straight-up chile is great on its own, I would say that using it in a recipe is how you get the most out of it. You should try one of the many recipes we have on our website. “Despite delivery delay....NOT Hatch Chili Store responsibility...received my order. Chilis were full and flavorful. I make my own hot sauce, and these were excellent. Will order again.”

“I've had your products in the past and enjoyed them. This order was just for a container of green chile seasoning and the shipping was $10, the same price as the product. I guess you need to order larger quantities to make it work.”

“So I'm not sure how to complete the rating. Service and communication was good regarding my order. The order arrived on time and was still frozen. The order was 2 dozen tamales- green chile &cheese, red chile pork tamales. The masa on both kinds was flavorful and fluffy and just the right amount. The red chile pork tamales were good. I have had 2 green chile & cheese tamales and have been unable to find or tast any cheese plus the amount of chile was inconsistent-barely enough on one and just the right amount on the other (the chile had a very good flavor). Unfortunately the jury is still out. Just received a new batch of green Chile/cheese tamales (courtesy of Daniel) to try. They were delicious !”

“I ordered a dozen green chile chicken tamales for the holidays. The tamales had an odd paper-thin corn husk on them, the masa was under-seasoned and the tamales could've used much more chile in them. They were just okay, but I expected more because of the cost. I assume that they are extra expensive because of the shipping with dry ice, but they weren't anything I would order again.”

“I ordered pork & chicken tamales, and enjoyed them very much. Nice texture and good filling-to-masa ratio. I would like a little more chile in the filling and prefer corn husks to paper. I would order again.”

“The Hatch products are excellent, especially the fresh and frozen green chilis. There does seem to be an opportunity for the company to improve the order-packing process. Received my latest order on schedule, but it was missing roughly half the shipment (three jars of chile sauce) even though the packing list showed all items were boxed. Fortunately, this order was not a gift. I used the Hatch chat line immediately to report the issue. Daniel assisted me promptly and shipped a make-up order the same day; I expect to receive the replacements in about a week. I have also had to contact customer service on a prior order and my concerns at that time were also resolved quickly. Despite a few order challenges, Hatch remains one of our favorite online vendors for specialty foods.”

“I was in New Mexico for a couple of weeks in October and got hooked on green chili. The order I received was perfect. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the price. I made some green chili sauce right away and it was great, plenty of heat and flavor. I put this stuff on top of everything. I’m sure I’ll be buying more. Thanks from West Palm Beach Florida.”
