Hi Lou, I'm sorry that you feel our pricing is too high. It looks like you order 5lbs of our Roasted Hatch Green Chile. 5lbs of our Roasted Hatch Green Chile is equal to 10lbs of our Fresh Hatch Green Chile. We also hand roasted and peel each pod for you. The Roasted Chile comes with free shipping anywhere in the lower 48. Trust me, shipping a frozen product on dry ice is extremely expensive. Thank you, The Hatch Chile Store

When initially purchasing your chilis I had accidentally sent the order to my address instead of my mothers as it was intended as a Mother’s Day gift. I emailed the support email with the correct and intended address and was told that the package would make it there, But unfortunately It’s come to me instead. I’m eating the chili’s now and they’re pretty good

Hi Alexander, I am so sorry! I took a look in our system and I see where you email us. In our system it does look like our customer service agent changed the shipping address. I think our distribution center must have printed a label right as our agent changed the shipping address. We would be happy to reship the order to your mother. I dont want this posted! The chile was bland and tasted like it came out of a can. Was disappointed in the flavor totally. I only get back to NM every couple of years now and usually stock up so was excited to find this store but did not meet expectations of a native New Mexican. I dont want to post a bad review in case it was an isolated case but was not pleased. Delivery was in the week only after I questioned the shipment. I am willing to try you again and hope for different results. I will try ordering again when the season is high.

Hi Phil, Thank you for your feedback, we are sad to hear that you where disappointed with our mild chile. We do warn that our 1904 mild is "a very mild flavor with little to no heat." The green chile sauce I ordered was simply meh. It wasn't nearly as good as what I can get in the restaurants or from much less expensive brands. I've very disappointed, especially for $8 a jar.

Thank you for the prompt delivery. I’ll rate once I actually cook & taste it. My only question is why are the tops (stem portion) a dark color, almost moldy looking?

Have not tried the green chile sauce as yet. However dissatisfied with the Tamales.......plenty of masa and possibly less than an ounce of chicken and sauce.

As "hot" flavor is a different experience for everyone and the heat of the chile depends on the crop we experience some variation in our flavor. The ordering process is always easy. However, I am disappointed in the quality of tamales. There is more masa then filling, with quite a few of the tamales having less than 1/2 ounce of chicken. Good flavor with the chile, sadly just nowhere enough. I would not order these Tamales again. The Relleno’s are ok, but not too flavorful. I wouldn’t order these again either. I will continue to order green chile thought, as that is always delicious. -Cory Wadley

This was the first time I ordered something besides the roasted green Chile’s. While we love those we are very disappointed in the tamales. We’ve tried the pork tamales and the amount of meat in each tamale is a joke. It’s mostly masa. With a little dab of pork on the end. Being originally from californianandvtexas I know what they should taste like. So we won’t be ordering them again. So disappointed.

Less flavor than I expected. Maybe I should have ordered. Doubt that I will order again as the cost is prohibitive. I know that the shipping is expensive so I'll just have to buy the chilis locally and roast and freeze them.

Although the chiles are good and arrived as scheduled, I ordered chopped and received whole chiles. Makes them a little more work to use for cooking.....

I did not deal with the customer service side as I was the recipient of what I think are Chile’s rellenos. They came very frozen and took one out to try but no directions came with For reheating. I will try the oven as microwave might not be a good idea (soggy). The other gift that was sent was 5 pounds of HOT chopped green Chile. Are they poblano peppers? Unique gift! Excited to try.

Order was placed on Jan 2 order was received by recipient on Jan 13 in good condition. Took eleven days when email stated 4+days disappointed on delivery time why I gave you a 3 *** Thank you

The chili rellenos I thought I would try were a disappointment. They were all frozen together and the bag was ripped with chunks of the dry ice all over. Not very appealing. Plus, it would be better if they could be separated at least in groups of 4 instead all being frozen solid together.

My gift order. It FINALLY arrived in good condition. My questions to you about the order and tracking number was not answered. A backup in Reno at your distribution facility was acceptable but I did not finally get shipping information until the day it was shipped. That was several days after the order was placed. Reno being showed in accounted for some of the delay but it still took a couple days before the order was actually shipped with no answer to my questions about it after the Reno explanation. Acceptable only because it finally arrived in good condition with the recipient being pleased. We love Hatch, love Sparkies, love green chile and love showing off our State hence we will most likely use you in the future. Please be more responsive to your customer concerns. Thank You. Thanks Preston for your reply. My comment was that the user interface did not make clear the distinction (and options) between ordering chopped vs whole. You're saying that it's easy and straightforward. I am saying that I was confused. Take it at face value, please. It's why I gave you three stars instead of five. ~Bryan

Hi Brian, The product description and pictures both show peeled on your order. If you'd like to order chopped, you can always do do, but select "chopped" on the product page. Best, Preston

I was devastated to see the amount of styrofoam used to ship 5 slim packages of chiles. I won't be ordering anything from you again until you figure out a more earth-friendly way of shipping them. I haven't tried the chiles yet. I am from Colorado and have fond memories of eating Hatch Chiles growing up, but I will either live without them or take them in my suitcase from Denver the way I usually do. If you do change your packaging please send out an email saying so, and I'll consider ordering again. Also, the radio buttons you have to rate the service from 1-5 has two 2s and no 3.
