“Inconsistent communication; consultants not reading the content; disregarding my specific requirement that the booking depended on the pre-night; discussions re pre-night only by phone clearly so TR didn't have written record; fast talk to cloud the issue by American consultant. I'm a comfortable retiree and plan many more overseas tours but this will be last with TR.”

Unfortunately, the operator of your tour did not allow for your pre-tour accommodation and tour to be confirmed at the simultaneously as the tour needs to be confirmed first, then the pre-tour accommodation request follows after. This should have been more clearly communicated to you and for this we apologise. Sadly we have no control over this tour operator booking condition. We've suggested you try booking the pre-tour accommodation independently as often tour operators are offered only limited allotments to hotel rooms. As such, there is still a strong possibility you can book a night at the tour hotel before your tour begins, independently. “I recently booked a Far East Tour with Tour Radar. The information provided about the tour was in great detail, excellent itinerary so travellers fully understood what was included, places included in the tour etc. They were upfront about costs and additional costs not included. Customer service so far has been excellent and I have received fast responses to all queries so far. I've yet to travel on the tour so cannot comment about that and the tour operator is not the same as the booking agent. Happy to recommend.”

“It was easy to filter by destination and date. I was very pleased by the quick response (within 1 hour of asking a question). The starting point of our trip was incorrectly advertised in the short title/or description, it did not match with the itinerary, but that was quickly clarified by the person answering my email. The confirmation of our booking came via email the next day. I hope the vouchers will be promptly released after payment in full and all the details (meeting points and times, hotels, etc) will be accurate.”

“I was a difficult customer. I think I emailed 15 times until I finally really booked into the third tour that I studied. The agents wrote back each time and gave me information and good explanations. The booking process itself was easy. I liked getting the small discount they advertised. So far, so good.”
