I was overcharged and tried to cancel the order within two seconds of hitting the go button and they still would not allow it. I called them and talk to them and they pretended to call the Restaurant who then said no we couldn’t cancel it even though it hadn’t been five minutes. When I got the food it was horrible and I mean horrible. Just threw it away. Tried to get my money back that way, and there was no way. So Uber eats has no responsibility and I will not do business with them ever again

Just ordered Panera bread for the first time in my life through Uber eats and it was disgusting! I will never order Panera bread or Uber eats. First of all, my bag had a sticker but was wide open. My salad was open and the dressing which was in a small clear container was spilled in my salad and a hard, piece of bread was in the bag.

As a delivery driver, I have been trying to update my car insurance for the past 24 hours. I have uploaded it no less than 20 times, talked to customer support no less than 5 times and was told each time the issue was fixed, which was a lie. The last time I called, the lady hung up on me after asking if there is documentation showing me calling and what the conversations were about. Fix your support team ASAP!

I ordered $280 worth of groceries for my in-laws who live out of town to help out while they are grieving the death of a family member. The online platform through my phone prompted me to put in the delivery zip code that populated the correct city but there was no place to put in the actual address. So, I put it in the next best place "Additonal details." The delivery person said she attempted to contact me when she arrived at some random place populated by Uber's platform. Later when reading the note placed by the delivery person, it stated that she waited 5 minutes but because she received no response, she "cancelled the order." When my family notified me that they did not receive the groceries I contacted the customer service and they said the order was "completed." The delivery person dropped the $280 worth of groceries off at the random address. After several unsuccessful rounds with the online chat option I called customer service and they basically said I am out of luck and will not receive a refund. When I brought up the issue with the online prompts only asking for a zip code, they said "sorry, no refund." When I asked to speak with a manager to elevate the complaint. They said "sorry, we cannot help you. Maybe next time put in the right address." Uber is a multi-billion dollar company. A refund would have gone a long way. So much for customer service. I will never use Uber again.

We ordered food and they delivered the wrong items, which were also melted. We threw out the items because they were melted and that's what you do with things that are kind of gross. Customer service asked us for photos, and would not give us a refund :)

Good Until It’s Not — Frequent Delivery Users, Beware Uber Eats can be great at first—especially for new users. Customer service tends to be responsive and helpful when you’re new, and the app offers discounts and promotions that make it worth trying. But over time—especially if you use the app frequently for deliveries—things go downhill. In my experience (and many of my friends’), delivery issues happen often, with missing food being the biggest problem. Drivers sometimes say they delivered your order when they clearly didn’t, or they give up trying to find the address and just disappear. I’d say 80% of my problems came from drivers, not restaurants. And once you’ve had “too many” issues—even if they’re legitimate—Uber may restrict your ability to get refunds or credits altogether, which is incredibly frustrating when the problem isn’t your fault. Customer support also gets worse. Responses feel copy-pasted, and even though you’re talking to a real person, they rarely address your specific concern. If your issue doesn’t match their script, they just paste a generic reply and close the chat. Also, something seems fishy about the App Store rating. It shows 4.8 stars with over 9 million reviews, but when you scroll through, there are dozens of 5-star reviews with titles like “Horrible,” “Don’t Trust,” and “Uber Eats Thieves.” That doesn’t seem honest and can mislead new users. If you’re paying for a membership, it’s even more disappointing when support completely drops off. There needs to be a better system for evaluating refund requests based on actual proof—not just some internal threshold. Try it if you’re new, maybe for the free trial and discounts. But if you plan to use it regularly for delivery, just know you might be left with no help when things go wrong.

First, you're hit with a mountain of fees — a "fees" section and a "service fee" section? It's as if they're trying to sneak in charges wherever they can. Then comes the real disaster: after placing my order, multiple drivers canceled one after another. Finally, just when it seemed like the food might actually arrive, the entire order was canceled altogether — even though the last driver had already arrived at the restaurant. This is beyond frustrating. Uber Eats clearly has no control over their operations, no accountability, and absolutely no respect for their customers’ time. It's clear they prioritize profit over service, and it shows. I've deleted the app and will never use Uber Eats again. Disgraceful experience.

I ordered 4 dessert items and got notifications that they were working on my order and it would arrive in 20 mins. The order got delayed which wasn't a problem and when it was supposed to arrive, I get a notification that the store decided to cancel the order. No phone call, no notification of any kind as to why and a whole 45 minutes after placing the order. I'd never order from here again just based on the service. If the order couldn't be filled or if they didn't have an item I ordered, a simple phone call would've been courteous enough to allow me time to order elsewhere or change my order if need be. Even a notification of the cancellation 10-20 minutes after placing the order would've been fine but 45 minutes later? Really? Without any explanation? That's just terrible service. When I complained to Uber they just said sorry we will make a note to prove our delivery for next time. No accountability, no let's see if we can figure out what happened, nothing. Terrible!

Horrible! They have delivered my order to the wrong house multiple times and I never received those orders of food! When I complained to Uber they said there’s nothing they can do. Are you kidding me? Hundreds of dollars wasted

Uber eats always takes a hour or longer to arrive even when it’s “estimated” for 20-30 minutes. The price is ridiculous to pay especially when the food is never delivered on time. The last time I ordered I watched the driver drive PAST my house and went across town, was parked at an apartment for 35 minutes. I tried to cancel but Uber wouldn’t let me cancel nor gave me a refund. The ice cream had melted and our refrigerated food was warm. A ten minute drive took over a hour and uber did not care one bit, even when I recorded the live map and showed this man with my food on the other side of town hanging out at some apartments. I tossed my food, what a WASTE of money and time.

I placed an order. The total came to $68.59. That would have been if all items were received. Not only were all items not received but the price jumped to $94.55. I would like to speak to a real human being on the phone but instead I'm getting people just texting me and hanging up with a cookie cutter response.

Horrible customer service. Driver delivered to wrong address and sent photo of wrong house with my food in front. Had the nerve to say they tried to contact me, which they never did. I tried calling the driver right away when I saw the photo but they wouldn't answer. Customer service said it was delivered and that was that. No refund nothin! This has never happened without some consideration back. I have been a customer for over 4 years. Never using Uber again.

Terrible experience — Uber Eats let me down completely I’ve just had an unbelievably frustrating experience with Uber Eats UK. I placed an order through the app, and the restaurant appeared to accept it. After waiting over an hour, I got a call from the delivery driver telling me the restaurant never actually accepted the order and had run out of the items I chose. When I asked to speak with the manager, they told me they couldn’t cancel the order from their side. Left with no choice, I had to speak directly with the restaurant and settle for a completely different dish — one I never wanted and that definitely wasn’t worth the £18 I paid. To make things worse, Uber Eats' support was absolutely useless. Just a stream of robotic, copy-paste responses with no real help or solution. And when I asked to cancel the order, they had the nerve to charge a cancellation fee — even though the issue wasn’t my fault at all. I ended up overpaying for food I didn’t want, with zero help from Uber Eats. This is not just bad service — it’s negligent and borderline unethical. I won’t be using Uber Eats again unless they fix their customer support and actually take responsibility when things go wrong.

Uber Eats has the worst service. DoorDash may be a bit more expensive, but at least you get what you pay for. If your order gets created by the wrong address because the Uber Eats app updates it without your knowledge, you’re still held responsible—and they won’t refund you. That’s unacceptable.

UberEATS just delivers whatever they want now. They use to refund/replace missing items but now they just apologize for not being able to refund. Either the store is not supplying the items or the drivers are taking them because they know nothing will be done about it. Broken system, deleting my account

I ordered groceries through Uber for the third time. The first two experiences were fantastic — fast delivery, accurate items, and thoughtful substitutions when something wasn’t available. So, for my third order, I went all in and signed up for Uber One. I felt confident committing to the service. This time, it took nearly an hour for anyone to even accept my order. I wasn’t in a rush, so I waited. But once someone picked it up, everything went downhill. The shopper clearly didn’t care. People use this service because they need it — not because they can easily drive to the store to get what’s missing. I spent nearly $400 and got terrible service from both the shopper and Uber support. It started with Parmesan cheese being swapped for mozzarella — a poor substitution for anyone who knows cheese. Then came butter chicken sauce. Walmart's website showed four options, but apparently none were available? Odd, but I let it slide. Then came the shock: no shampoo. Not one bottle. Not Herbal Essences, Fructis, Dove, Pantene, or Pert — all of which were listed as in-stock. I’ve never seen a Walmart without shampoo, not even during the height of COVID. Over 10 items were refunded with no substitutions, despite Uber’s promise of alternatives. I messaged the driver repeatedly — they kept saying, “wait.” I asked to cancel the order, and again: “wait.” Nearly four hours after I placed the order, I had no full meals for my family and still no shampoo. It was absolutely ridiculous. I contacted Uber, and all I got were canned replies like “we appreciate your feedback.” No ownership, no accountability, and no refund of the service fee — even though I had to go to the store myself just to make dinner that night. Apparently, once someone starts your order, you’re stuck paying — no matter how poorly it’s handled. I cancelled my Uber One subscription and left a 1-star review. Beware: the shoppers often don’t care, and Uber doesn't either. They’re happy to take your money even if their service fails, and you end up spending more cabbing to the store to get the items they claimed weren’t available — when they clearly were. In addition the shopper packed the chips and bread UNDER A 4L jug of milk and huge jar of pickles, and lost items like frozen chicken burgers that at least the burgers were refunded.. such a waste of time and money

I hate how they make it nearly impossible to really confront an issue. My Eats delivery never arrived and I couldn’t get back to the order to call the driver or anything they just simply offer a refund. I need to know where my food was taken and proof of delivery and who ever is responsible needs to be penalized. Don’t allow thieves and dishonest people to deliver for you. Seriously vet these people before sending them out. Second time this has happened to me.
