I ordered an eco drive watch online for my wife's birthday, arrived at the fast track counter to be informed that i need access to my emails. i gave them the printed paperwork and was told to come back later as they were all busy. when i pointed out that there where three people doing nothing and one was sitting on the counter with his feet up. the guy turned and walked away. I will never shop at Argos agin, they may not care, but i will inform everyone about the lack of service and general don't care mentallity

I ordered a ITEM for my daughter for her 11th birthday hoping it would turn up for the day! 5 days later no email, no telephone call! After numerous attempts of ringing the customer service team again I have been fobbed off and told the supplier will contact me in the next 24 hours however I was told this a couple of days ago however 'the supplied will ring back in 48 hours' to confirm a day! Got a very disappointed daughter due to the fact of her main present not been delivered after waiting a week! Awful service!

I reserved a heater online and collected it the following morning (round trip of 22 miles). The chosen model was the 3kw DELUXE--with ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL. This feature was the ONLYy reason I purchased--wanted accurate on/off settings for heater activation. Only the DELUXE model had this feature, the standard one being without. Online description and model and catalogue numbers were clear. When I got the item home it turned out to be the STANDARD model. I returned to Argos (another round trip of 22 miles). There I was served by a member of staff who insisted I was wrong and that the right model had been supplied. He looked up the cat number in the hard-copy catalogue and confirmed this: the model did not have clinmate control. I asked him to check online as the online description was different. He checked on his internal computer system and again told me I was wrong. I was becoming more and more frustrated. So I asked him to remove the manual from the box, which confirmed that the model I had was the wrong one. Only after this would he understand. I asked for the correct item I had bought. It was not in stock. I asked for a refund to my credit card and this was grudgingly given. Having wasted 44 miles and four hours, I asked if he had any comment (I was looking for a simple 'sorry' as Argos had clearly messed up their cat nos and had not matched online display with the proper no.) He said 'no comment'. I suggested coldly that all I wanted was a simple apology. I received a cold, insincere 'sorry' and left. I was asked for feedback online and gave a bad review, confirming that I would like someone from Argos to contact me (I didn't want any other poor suckers to get caught in the same way). Needless to say, two days later--no reply. Diabolical service and hopelessly inefficient system. Don't think I'll ever use Argos again.

placed an order online to be collected at my local Crayford branch, and received an email and text message to tell me it was ready to collect...however, when I went to the store the very rude girl behind the counter said "come back tomorrow"...to which I said no as I'd been informed that I could collect. She then messed about with her computer and said "it's cancelled" (not explaining why she told me to come back tomorrow!) Not the first time it's happened and this store are always rude. Will NEVER shop with argos again, and I'll be telling this to anyone who'll listen so they don't shop there too.

Awful delivery service - arrogant delivery men wishing to impose delivery before the time agreed and notified by text. No interest in making the customer happy - just interested in the customer cancelling the order so they do not have to wait in the area until delivery time. Complete non sense for customer and loss of business for Argos.

I got my items on an Argos card for my son's for Christmas as I couldn't afford to pay it out right and due to the floods at the weekend they were ruined. Explained my situation to the shop at Kingstown Carlisle and they just brushed it off and said use your own insurance the problem there is they weren't in my house at the time and it wasn't like the whole of Carlisle asked to lose there processions and some have lost their jobs never again will I ever use this company again.

Whilst ordering on Black Friday the website crashed after I had put my card details in. Since I received no confirmation email or E-receipt and heard nothing for days I assumed it hadn't been processed and ordered the item from another site (which I've now opened and used). Only 5 days later I got a text saying that my parcel would be delivered. Once the parcel was delivered I obviously tried to return the parcel but was told I couldn't because I had no Ereceipt, that's the things I wasn't actually given, and that I could only exchange for vouchers of the value because I couldn't prove how much I had paid for it despite having the paper reciept attatchrd to the parcel still- how then could I be given vouchers equal to the value? The box had 2 seals one which had been opened and covered with a sticker saying open and sealed by Argos the other not touched. The cashier (in the Clydebank store) said it had been opened so she had to check it and ripped the unopened seal open so now it's as if I have opened it. On the day of receiving the parcel I sent a customer service email for which 8 days letter I've not recieved a reply. I did eventually get a measly response from the Argos helpers Twitter who assured me that if I sent my address an email would be sent with my Ereceipt but it could take 2-3 days. How long does it take to recover a an order when the order number is given, bearing in mind it has now been over a week since I received the parcel and almost two since I paid for it. - any longer and the receipt will be out of date.

ARGOS The Service Is ATROCIOUS! The Online email form at Argos is a waste of time. I think these are redirected straight in the bin. I've contact them on a number of occasions regarding a TV I bought, none have been replied to. WILL BE RETURNING THE ITEM BECAUSE OF THIS. AVOID ARGOS. Once they have your money they no longer retain any interest in you except to bombard you with sales emails. They seem to have time for these JUST NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLAINTS

Ordered A game for Xbox 360 had a text saying it would be delivered on 3 December only to receive another text saying date altered to 4 December and would be delivered by Yodel. Never received the game so after phoning Argos and Yodel myself I was told the game had been lost and it was now out of stock. Then told I would have to wait 5 to 7 working days for the money to be refunded into my bank account. Very poor customer service and Yodel are useless. Will not be using Argos again!!!!!

Ordered a Doro phone on the 1st December, It is to be delivered from their supplier through the post. I have been in touch twice with Argos who say they have emailed their sipplier who will phone me to tell me where the phone is. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA. Have tried to phone Argos again but just keep getting cut off. I have now had to take up a despute with Paypal to get my money back as I cant get in touch with Argos. They havnt even responded to Paypal. I will never buy from Argos again unless I can get it over the counter. Half the time they are too expensive any way. I am totally disgusted with them.

placed a fast track home delivery for a washing machine. Waited in four hours not delivered. Arranged for delivery following day, anothe four hours no delivery. Spoke to local branch and they sais it was a delivery failure. Offered a discount off a machine to collect form the store. Got it home and not working. Went back to store and asked them to collect it and arrange a refund. Store owuldn't collect or refund because item was originally collected from store. Had to deliver it back to them myself. Staff no help at all and just stood and glared at me when I voiced my complaint. Went to Currys and picked up a new washing machine now working fine. I'll never shop at Argos again.

Ordered a tumble dryer on the 28th Dec from argos and got a text to confirm the delivery was going to be the 5th of December between 11am-1pm and the driver would call 1 hour before however waited 2 hours then received a call at 1pm from argos saying the drivers lorry broke down and won't be able to delivery it today but someone would contact me the next day to rearrange but no call or email. Decided to give the a call today which is the 7th December, waited a long time to get through to them then was transferred to someone else which knew nothing about the situation I gaved them my details and order number they said the next delivery available would be the 15th December however he said he was a temporary staff and will get someone to call be later the day to arrange a earlier date, waited all day but no phone call. Poor customer service! Staff were no help at all! Will not be buying delivery items again from argos!

I ordered a fridge freezer and specified at the checkout that I needed one that would be delivered quickly. I chose an Argos model as they would contact me in 3 days to deliver. Needless to say, no phone call and no delivery a week later, have tried to ring customer services to find out what's happened and can't get through. I was holding for 20 minutes before I gave up the will to live. Filled in a former on the website and haven't received even a confirmation email which is disgusting. Argos are clearly in breach of contract and I will be going back to the shop to cancel my order and get a full refund. I cannot see me shopping there again, am disgusted by the lack of customer service and general couldn't give an arseness of the whole experience.

After taking receipt of a musical toy (B Meowsic Musical Keyboard) from Argos direct, which then went straight back to the shop for a refund, I wrote an honest factual review. However, Argos refused to accept it. Argos 'cherry pick' reviews to suit themselves. I simply wrote: This keyboard was delivered promptly but the toy itself had no protective packaging provided by the manufacturer - no box - nothing around the entire cats head or keyboard which are made of plastic. The item resembled that of one purchased from a charity shop (secondhand). Obviously, it went back where staff completely understood my comments and failed to understand why the toy hadn't simply been inserted into an illustrated box! I am surprised that Argos believes the presentation of this item is acceptable. Well, the review was returned to me 'Review Rejected'. Cherry-picking? Absolutely.

Do not buy anything from Argos!!!! They have the worst customer service, they state an item will be with you within 3 - 5 days but it never gets delivered on time! You can not check the status of your order online and when you ring the customer service line, you are left on hold! I have been on hold for nearly one hour! Absolutely disgraceful customer service, I will never buy anything from Argos ever again, no matter how convenient it sometimes appears to be! It is not!

False delivery advertisement I had bought a washing machine on 18/11/15 which it say on argos delivery that they will deliver it on the room of your choice.washing machine came I ask the 2 delivery man if they can move it to the cellar as Iam 9months pregnant..but they refuse..so I was not so happy at all because I have to pay someone to bring it down on cellar.so I did rang argos and complain..and told her my situation and Im going to order a dryer soon so I don't want it to be the same problem with thewashing machine..after talking to her for 1hr and after that woman stress me out on the phone.she told me her manager gonna ring me back..2hrs later argos manager rang me.I told her my situation and she did apologies for what happen and she promise to compensate me £20 voucher as a apologies and she says that when I order my dryer give them a call and then they will put on my note that need help heavily pregnant..yesterday I order my dryer despite I haven't receive the promise voucher..I gave argos a call to let them know as the manager told me to do..but the person I spoke to called Michelle says that they can't do anything if drivers decline to do it .even though I been advice and I'm pregnant..ask her about the 20 voucher that promise and she says they put it through..I'm so fuckin mad at argos...fuckin liar and stress me and waste my time..

Writing reviews help build trust - I would say that this is not a company anyone should trust. I have only ordered something from Argos twice in my life, last time it was an iron and this time an ink cartridge and both times it has gone disastrously wrong! I ordered a black ink cartridge on Friday for a delivery on Saturday between 1900-2200hrs, nothing arrived. So I went on line to try and track it but to no avail. I then called Argos and was explained that my order had gone missing, although after the sales rep Calvin called my local store it looked like the cartridge had never been out for delivery the order had disappeared shortly after being confirmed?? But as always Calvin was apologetic, and to be fair it is not his fault although unfortunately for him he represents Argos so to me he is Argos. The best solution he advised would be for me to go to the nearest Argos store and he would make sure the cartridge would be there waiting for me. This is what was suggested last time when I had ordered the iron but when I arrived in store it had disappeared in the system, so to be honest I did not want to go through this again. Had I wanted to go to my nearest store I would not have arranged for a delivery. Arranging for a delivery means I would like to have it delivered to my home not to a shop. I then asked to receive a refund, oh dear this is not as easy as you may think, as the product has disappeared it is not possible for the cs to arrange the refund, the only way this can be done is through the head office and they will have to call me back within 24-48hrs to arrange the refund for me and then I will have to wait up to 10 working days to get the refund back on to my card........al this because I needed a black ink cartridge because I unfortunately have to work today and needed to print something that I am now unable to print anyway!! Thank you Argos for advertising a service that you can simply NOT deliver.
