Very poorly staffed at Brighton store. Cardenden avenue. Also spoke to a customer service guy called Paul over the phone who was rude and did not have a clue.will never shop at argos again. Poor quality products.

UNBELIEVABLE Customer Service. Don’t believe everything (anything) you are told!! Our order for two sofas appeared to progress well to start with. We were very pleased to receive an email advising that our delivery date (specified at the time of order) had been brought forward and sure enough the Argos delivery lorry turned up at the agreed time and date. Unfortunately it then all started to go wrong!! The driver decided he could not get to our property due to access restrictions. We then had to watch helplessly as our sofas disappeared into the distance. However we were promised re-delivery on a smaller vehicle and that’s when our frustrations began……… On face value the (many) Customer Service agents we spoke to appeared to be very helpful and apologetic BUT we soon came to realise that we were being fobbed off and blatantly lied to, with false promises of new delivery dates which failed to materialise. We were promised re-delivery on no less than FIVE occasions, with assurances on the actual expected day of delivery that our sofas were ‘definitely on a van on their way to you’ but nothing turned up. A total waste of our time waiting in at home for deliveries that in reality were NEVER going to happen! One sofa was eventually delivered out of the blue (with no prior warning) but the promised deliveries of our second sofa failed to materialise. Following a formal complaint to David Robinson (Chief Operating Officer) we were eventually told (by one of his assistants) that the sofas were actually out of stock and could not be delivered for another FOUR weeks!! Having lost total confidence in Argos we decided to cancel our order (and return the one sofa that had been delivered). We were able to buy the same sofas from an alternative supplier at a cheaper price, with immediate delivery. In due course we received a full refund, plus a gift voucher by way of compensation. I can accept that sometimes there can be problems with delivery lead times etc but I cannot accept the blatant lies and deception provided so effectively by Argos customer service staff – absolutely disgraceful!! The sorry saga ended in some amusement. Some three weeks AFTER our order had been cancelled we received a surprise phone call, from an Argos Delivery driver, advising that he was approx. 15 minutes away with a delivery of TWO sofas for us………. Needless to say we told him to go away.

WAITED IN ALL DAY SATURDAY PARCEL NEVER TURNED UP,HAD ONLINE CHAT WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST GOT COCKY REMARKS BACK SAID IT WOULD BE DELIVERED MONDAY WIFE WAITED IN ALL DAY STILL NO PARCEL NOW SUPPOSED TO BE COMING TUESDAY WONT HOLD MY BREATH REALLY BAD SERVICE BETTER OF GOING TO THE SHOPS,ARGOS DID AT ONE TIME BE GOOD THOSE DAYS ARE GONE THEY'RE NOT CHEAP EITHER

Never seen a poorer website, ever. Tried to place an order for same day collection. Argos website couldn't complete the Paypal transaction. Said try another payment option. Chose another and without going back to the section where you enter a discount code, it removed the 20% promotion I had applied and charged my card. Not only that but it reserved the item for collection tomorrow, not today, without confirming. I am leaving to go to the persons house whom the item is for, first thing tomorrow, so won't have time to go to the store and collect it. Away now to pop down to Tescos. No more Argos for me.

Sent item back a week and a half ago. For some reason they use an external courier company. They still haven't heard back from them to say they've picked up my item despite messaging them a few times and until they do no refund- I have been ringing them daily for a week and a half which to me is unacceptable. Would never order on line from them again.

Bought a Hitachi tv had the recite sent to my email like everything else I get from argos Took the set back to argos which I purchased 6 month previous to find my recite was for a bush tv which I have never purchased Got the tv out of the car took it in to the shop at Pontardawe argos Only for the management team to say that the tv have had a bump told them that the tv wad hight up on the wall and told them that lines appeared on it and the sound was all muffled Made me feel as if I was liaring So argos is off my shopping list ad I turn in the shop to leave told them to keep the tv and left no more argos online shopping at least they will collect the tv and have the same recite

Delivery for a fireplace was 2 weeks so ordered item to come on a Sunday between 7am & 12pm. Had a lunch reservation at 1pm so thought this would be fine! Got a text saying item coming between 10.30 & 12.30. Rang at 12.30 to see where delivery was & 'they're running late, will be a couple of hours'. Had to leave a note to say leave in the garage & it was eventually delivered around 3pm! Not acceptable service. No apology for wasting my morning. Will not be using company again.

Three months of absolute hell trying to get a simple refund! Dealt with three managers & amazingly each of them broke promise after promise in not calling me back or sorting anything. Never trust these names is Argos- they will absolutely just ignore you despite 'supposedly' being Management! ROB MOULTON, EMILY DICKINSON, JOSH! These guys really need to learn decent customer service!

I ordered a laptop online, the money was taken out of my bank and within minutes I was sent an email and text saying that my order had be cancelled and I should expect a refund in the next 7 working days. Basically I am £350 down for the next 7 working days and I am yet to have anything to show for it. When I rung customer services all they could tell me was "Yes, the system just canceled your order" with no other explanation. Absolutely awful service

Ive ordered from them on the 6th of feb , and was told my sofa would be here on 21st and then it didnt arrive so i contacted them and it wouldnt again to 10th march then on 10th they changed to the 15th , its an absolute disgrace im a nummy waiting to move out to my new first house with my baby but unable to as im still waiting on my sofa its an absolute disgrace ; ecspecially when ye spend so much in store ive bought a cooker and also a sofa in the space of two weeks

Terrible ordered a playstation4 for £300 with fast track delivery was ment to come between 7-10 but the other thing I ordered was delivered and the PlayStation wasn't on records literally raging terrible service and won't be getting anything from Argos ever again especially something at £300 to just not be on records an actual joke

I will never again dealnwith this ham- fisted company. A few days prior to delivery of bed and mattress having waited 3 weeks already and a text message that there is further delay. Order cancelled no apology. They do not deserve business

Bought a tv for my dad on 29th feb but when we tried to set it up at home we found the tv stand didn't fit on the tv table and we are unable to fit a larger tv table in the space available, I tried to return the tv to the lanark branch on 1st march! I found the female member of staff who dealt with me was abrupt in manner, I was able to tell her I would like to exchange the tv for one with a more appropriate stand but she did not allow me to explain why, she could only say that because I had torn the tape off the top of the box she would be unable to resell it and therfore refused to take it back, she only seemed interested in problems it would cause her and at no time expressed any concern or interest in my problem. As a regular buyer from argos having had no issues before this I would like express my disapointment with todays experience.

Ordered sand to be delivered to school on the 28 the February 2016 had to give full address to sales assistant 3 times and delivery was supposed to be for Monday am. Received txt Monday morning that delivery would be between 7:45am and 8:45am but did not get delivered and at 10am got delivery cancellation text. Rang them and rearranged delivery between 2pm and 4pm which was fine as the school would close at 4pm. Received another text saying delivery between 2pm and 6pm and staff member stayed behind till after 6pm but still no delivery. Rang customer service and was told that they could not find address and could not change delivery address. Suggested to make new order and cancel existing order. On Monday had rang 3 times and not one customer service person mentioned that. Argos delivery service is very poor and poor customer care. Emailed Argos but did not receive any reply. Poor service from such large organisation no one ready to take responsibility.

Due to the disgusting service that I have received I do not believe that argos even deserve rating with one star. From the lack and incorrect knowledge from the staff in the store to the rude obnoxious staff at the end of the telephone supposedly there to help, to the point of being refused the right to speak to a supervisor/manager. I would like to say that what I had experienced was an unfortunate single event, but I would be lying. I have found the WHOLE company incompetent from start to finish. It's a wonder Argos has any business and is still trading.

I am now left with NO goods and NO money! The customer service team has been very unhelpful so far, making promises they have not fulfilled. The driver delivered my order to a neighbor very far down my street and the neighbors denied receiving any delivery. It is your responsibility to fix this! Why do I have to keep chasing 24/7 , NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME til this day ! I will wait until this evening for a replacement delivery or my original order!!! after that I will take the actions necessary to report Argos.
