i have never experienced a company like Argos for such poor service. Twice i have waited in all day, once for a bookcase and today for a desktop pc. Neither turned up, no explanation, even had a text to say it would be delivered today, but NO it WASN'T. Absolute cack company and cack customer service. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM ARGOS, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I spent nearly two months getting my money back on the bookcase, god knows how long i will have to fight to get 400 quid back for the pc. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

Awful, ordered a set of towels and after 3 days with nothing, no delivery email or anything, I called them. Was told that they didn't have stock, so I obviously asked for my money back (which they took STRAIGHT AWAY, bear in mind). 5-7 days for a refund. Absolutely pathetic, will never use again, waste of time.

Ordered a product from the website which has several pictures, it arrived with a completely different pattern and had to send straight back. Rang every store in the area and the next area and each store had the same problem -the pattern for that item code has changed and they have not updated the website photos. Absolute waste of my day and my partner's day. This is unfortunately not my first poor encounter with Argos...

Argos in shop in Oxford and Online is pathetic, we went to buy a bed today, work full time in a hospital tried to arrange a double bed frame and mattress to pay and be delivered on the same day when we are not on duty in hospital, Argos simply could not do it, as try as she might a girl tried to delivery of both parts on the same day but the Argos and system warehouse is hopelessly inadequate, so today Argos lost £600 of business, and using Argos.co.uk is even more frustrating in the company's hopeless and inadequate customer service

I ordered a TV that was supposed to be delivered on tuesday between 7am-6pm but it didn't show up, i waited expecting it to show up on Wednesday and again it didn't arrive. I called customer service to check when I would get it as I recived an email saying it had already been dispatched. After calling yodel (the delivery company they use) they told me that I MIGHT get it on Monday and that if it doesnt arrive to call them to receive an update. So almost a week late (possibly more if I dont get it on Monday). I could of got it much faster for the same price at other stores if I would of been aware of there terrible delivery service earlier. I recommend avoiding argos for home deliveries until they stop using Yodel (who have been voted the worst delivery company in the UK, twice!). NEVER USING ARGOS EVER AGAIN!

I have just had my delivery cancelled again this week that is now the 3rd time. Why do you lie and say you have items in stock when clearly you do not. 3 days arranged of work for nothing !

I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service I have received from Argos. Firstly I went to place an order on the 11th of May 2015 this order did not go through and the payment went to pending which meant it was unavailable to me. I rang my bank whom said there was no issue with my card and was more than enough funds available within my account. I made another online payment to another store to check and this went through straight away. Therefore meaning your website was insufficient. I was then advised on one of my other conversations on the 14th of May 2015 after originally telephoning to ask why the funds had still not been released to me to re-place the order to ensure i would still get the 20% of furniture and the 20% off home yet again this order wen to pending leaving me almost £1,000 down within my bank account as I illiterate again your website was insufficient. When i rang customer services regarding this matter I was originally told it would take 24 hours and after this period of time the funds would be released back to me, this did not happen. I rang back a further 3 times to be told different information on every occasion: the money would be release within 48 hours, 7 days, 21 days. the first 2 times I telephoned customer services i was transferred through to the finance department after these two telephone conversations when i rang back as the money had still not been released to me I was told I was unable to be transferred through to the finance department as this is not allowed to be done, so why was I the 2 previous times? Hence a concern the staff i spoke to were incompetent of doing there job correctly as not one person could help me with my complaint i was passed around to different people to receive different answers and no solutions. After 2 weeks of stress and numerous pointless and unhelpful conversations with Argos customer services I finally received the 2 amounts of money within my account. I placed the order yesterday over the phone and I did not receive the 20% off home as this discount had apparently come to an end. This is disgusting as it was your own fault due to your website being insufficient and staff members being incompetent of helping me with my issue caused by yourselves that when the order finally did go though it was too late to receive the discount which I should have received. I highly suggest customer services staff members are clear on your policies as I state again i received different information every single time I telephoned to resolve my issue caused by yourselves and I have been left disgusted by the service I received and unsatisfied. They also do not appear to actually have a complaints department which is very strange and frustrating!!!!!!!!

Really disappointed with Argos. I ordered a lay z spa with express delivery which is an extra £19.99. States that it would be delivered within 3 days which was imperative as we were having a BBQ this weekend for the bank holiday. They call me 2 days later to book a delivery but said the earliest would be a week away! Really annoyed as now can't get another one delivered by the weekend. Have cancelled the order and getting a refund, but you have to wait 5 days for money to be returned!!! £444 lighter and no hot tub. Thanks a bunch Argos!

We ordered a fridge freezer from them and what attracted me over other companies was the express delivery. We are a large family managing without one of our main appliances. Phoned to arrange delivery but could not delivery on day I was at home express delivery is just a way of attracting you to buy from them. I am still waiting for my item it will be delivered 10 days after we ordered. They blame delivery department. Take some responsibility Argos !!! Very disappointed

Went to Argos in Leighton Buzzard on 15th April and ordered and paid for a Bush fridge freezer. Paid for delivery and collection of old appliance. They gave me a delivery date of 28th April between 7am and noon. Got a text message from Argos on Sunday 26th telling me to ensure my old appliance was empty defrosted and disconnected. Had a local builder come and remove two kitchen cabinets and a piece of worktop and remove the old fridge freezer ready for collection. Argos never turned up so I rang them....they said it wouldn't be with me until Friday 1st May !! They forgot to let me know !!! In the meantime I have a half demolished kitchen three bags of food going off and having to do a seven mile round trip every day to do shopping. If I want to cancel it will take them 7 days before I get my refund so my only choice is Hobsons. I'm almost in tears over this ..... saying sorry is polite it is no replacement for customer service. Argos should be ashamed of themselves.....they should not be selling products from manufacturers that can't deliver.

I placed an order one month ago. The goods were supposed to delivered one month later. few days ago I start receiving calls from Argos that first one of the item could not be delivered for a month. I replaced the item with another one (not to wait for a month) but that was not all. The other item which was supposed to be delivered tomorrow for some reason could not be delivered again for a month. So I have decided to cancel the order completely! Very disappointed!!!!!

Gutted!!! I ordered a washing machine on the 14th April and waited for notification of delivery...and waited...and waited....The order tracking system didn't give me any information when I entered my order number so this morning-22nd April I managed to get through to a nice lady at our local store who put me onto 'expert telebooking' Nothing had been forwarded to them & I was told a manager would ring me back-which she didn't! I then rang a freephone number & the man told me there had been none in stock. Why wasn't I told this so I could decide whether I wanted to wait this long? Eventually he said next delivery would be on the 8th of MAY!!!!! I told him to keep his washing machine & give me my money back ! Won't be using Argos again. B Tunbridge

The most awful customer service, delivery service, warehouse management the whole thing!!!! Ordered wardrobe for my son to be delivered on Saturday because me and my husband work full time and weekend is the only time we can get household chores get done. It arrived just half part set as one of two said on the box, for the rest of the second part of wardrobe we had struggle over the phone with Argos customer service like absolute hell, as the same day they again deliver wrong item box. Also they hidden the fact that part 2 item they could not deliver because it was damage we found this fact out during several phone conversation with customer service. Eventually the box 2 arrived Sunday morning in minicab with £20 gift card. We vowed never order any furniture from Argos ever again.

Delivery of £250 camera lens failed to arrive on two promised times, they finally delivered it to a "neighbour" which was given to a person called "ZIKI" in a communal entrance of a block of 50 flats. Now most likely long gone! Absolutely appalling customers services!

I've just been to the North Finchley shop to either exchange or return an item I bought as part of the 2 for £15 offer on toys. I waied in a queue to ask if I could either exchange or return the item and a lady told me that I could return. I asked her if I would get half of the £15 or not, considering each item separately costs £10. She assured me I would get £7.50 and wrote on my recept £7.50 cash back, but asked me to go to another queue to get it. I then waited in another big queue for a long time as the shop was very busy to be told I wouldn't get £7.50, but only £5. I am very annoyed as I believe that the shop should have trained the staff beter, so I wouldn't have waited in two queues to be told 2 different things. If the first lady had told me in the first instance that I would have been better off exchanging the item instead of not getting the full £7.50 I would have been more than happy doing that. It's not about the money I am complaining about, but about me wasting my time to get told two different things. I believe Argos had seen better days.
