“I must say that I was very happy buying at Shein, until I placed a large order to try on several dresses. I kept a dress that costed around £25 and I had to pay more than £40 for handling fees on my return. I wasn't aware of that as they advertise free returns. I feel scammed and very disappointed as they did hide these fees trough the purchase and return process. I tried to communicate this with the customer support several times, but they are not offering any solution, just to bare with it. They are saying that these fees are from transportation, labor wage and other costs in specific markets. What!!?? Totally disappointing and not even worth it.”

“Horrible customer support. Horrible website and account management. My order didn’t show in my account and therefore I couldn’t return the item! Even though I had confirmation email and receipt. Never buy from them again!!”

“Missing item stolen by someone in staff when it got delivered. No way to contact customer service or raise a complaint. From what i understand, this is a common issue with shein .. avoid shein at all cost.”

“If I could give a -5 star I would. I have not received my orders. They ship from China. They do not care to resolve the issue and I will have to go through my bank and dispute the charges.”

“I do not want to give even a -1 star. This is pure junk. Dresses are so cheap quality and false delivery promise. They charge extra shipping costs for fast delivery and deliver later than normal delivery. Refused to refund the extra shipping costs. Packing was so bad that they put 6 dresses in a polythene bag where you can pack only one dress.”

“On the 27th of October I submitted and pay my order. It is the 29th of November and I didn’t received anything yet. On the 12th of November is was in transit in Sandton. This is not good!”

“Be ware of the ridiculous amount that can be charged for custom duty. I bought similar number of items and paid x amount on duty , I tried again and the next order was 4x the previous custom duty paid did not make sense. They don't have any customer service only robots. Also my order payment they deducted more than what the charge was. Its very suspect”

“If I could give this company zero stars I would. My friend said that they really loved the store. I was very excited to give them a shot. Unfortunately the large order that I ordered was missing five items. I reported this through customer service. no one responded for over 24 hours. I had to check back in with them after a three day investigation. They proactively never reached out to me. They responded with my package was the right size and if I do reach out again my credit score would be effected. So now I am out of money my missing items and a threat on my credit score. I am so angry I am never shopping here again.”

“MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED. Someone in Mexico has used my account to purchase HUNDREDS of dollars worth of goods. I keep reaching out to Shein for help - NOTHING. I am going to seek legal advice.”

“I ordered the wrong size duvet cover but unable to return the item as when I log into my account it says I don't have any recent orders. I only received the item today so I have no way of returning it and getting a refund. Won't use Shein again. Poor. Very poor.”
