Avoid, bought a phone 4 months ago, battery died. Customer service is non existent and robotic. Won't listen, save your money and avoid completely.

Bought MacBook from BackMarket and then sent it back . Offered me a reduced price but that was fine . However, this occurred in December. As of 2 February, have not received my money so I am about €500 down. Cannot get live telephone number to follow up and no response from their Customer support. Never again!

Customer support responds once per day and avoids your queries and ignores what you write. The phone they sold me had a bad screen that broke fully within 8 months and they refuse to do anything about it. Utter scam. Avoid at all costs!

Bought a phone for my nephew and it took couple days after the delivery date, then it came in an empty package when it did came. To get my refund I had to show everything that does not concern them just to get my money back. I am still in the process with them so I am waiting. This is a frustrating situation and really bad company. I won't ever buy from that place again EVER.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Very condescending, nasty people. Sold me a phone in poor condition, when I paid the highest fee for excellent condition. I needed the phone for my work from home commitments. Due to being disabled and suffering with multiple mental health disorders, I find it hard to leave the house. Upon explaining my issue and asking for help to return the faulty product, they made it seem as though it was my fault and they wouldn’t help further unless I go out and get a parcel slip. Due to my health conditions, I can’t go out and do these things, that’s why I thought of purchasing online to make things easier as they said that it was in perfect shape. Didn’t think I would need to send it back! I’ve sent attachments and all that they needed. Upon weeks of back and forth conversation and being humiliated through trying to reason with them and get help, Mustafa eventually tells me he has booked in appointment for 13:00pm 29th with DHL to collect the parcel as a favour from Back Market. DHL didn’t come until past 15:00pm and the poor man had to break it to me that the company never told them to bring a slip. I was so humiliated, so embarrassed and have been a nervous wreck all day, just to have DHL say that to me😪. I’ve never once made a complaint with this company and I’ve purchased from them before. I guess you only see peoples true colours when something goes wrong! Ardahan and Mustafa are nasty people, have never been so distraught as this, they must think money grows on trees! I’ve now had to purchase another phone… Ive had to pay well over £1200 for two phones, because of what they’ve done to me. Shall be seeking help from the ombudsman for all the damage they’ve caused and compensation.

We purchased a Samsung tablet that was listed as being in 'excellent condition'. After we recieved the tablet, the seller changed the listing to 'very good'. Back Market didn't seem too phased by that. So I started reading reviews for El Geo, the company we bought the tablet from through Back Market. If you read the bad reviews this happens regularly. Every day. People were also complaining about counterfiet items. So anyway, the tablet arrives with scuffs all over the screen. It is being returned. Back Market works like Ebay or Amazon. It's a host site which hosts vendors. El Geo is the vendor I bought from through Back Market. You can write a purchase review which you cannot go back and edit. The site feels like the internet in 1999. I would not suggest dealing with them. It feels like a fence for stolen and/or counterfeit items. The vendor I'm dealing with has a long list of shady activity, yet still has a 4/5 star rating. If you're going to deal with Back Market I highly recommend combing through the negative reviews of the vendor and trusting what other people have said. You could just be tying your money up while you mail packages back and forth. Literally.

I thought I was having a rough time with this company but at least I never got to order anything. Been trying to order a monitor since Sunday night when they rejected my order. They claim their algorithm is very sensitive for security purposes. Then on Tuesday tried to order it again same thing happened then ordered a different product used different CC added the four digits after my zip code and sent them a copy front and back of my Drivers license they still rejected the order. Today Wednesday this morning they emailed me telling me they are confirming my Identity and they will send an e-mail so I can go back on and order. Well it was 3:30 when I decided to check their reviews something I usually do but since I saw a video about the top three refurbished companies and they were number 3 so didn't think of checking. While I was reading the reviews I went on Amazon and had already place a couple in my cart ordered from there and not wasting my time with BM and we all know what BM is . Now I'm glad my order never went thru. BTW Amazon and Ebay were number one and two. The two companies that I did read reviews were a lot like these everyone calling them scammers or only giving store credit etc. From now on for refurbished items it is Amazon or Ebay and that is it. Also calling my CC companies and telling them no charges from this company and be on alert. I should have never sent them a copy of my DL an no one should

This horrible ass company lost my damn iPhones. My phones was in the box with the labels to each phone. I received the update that the items was received and the representative stated all phones was not received. I provided receipts and labels. Now I DO NOT HAVE MY KIDS PHONES BECAUSE OF THIS CRAPPY ASS COMPANY. These hoes asked for me to take a picture of what was in the box AFTER IS WAS RECEIVED AT THEIR LOCATION. How the hell am I suppose to take a picture and you all have my items.

Ordered a laptop with an intel i5-6300U processor, but the one that arrived had intel i5-5300U - clearly they were hoping I wouldn't check! Also laptop described as excellent condition, corner was all scraped and charger was smashed in/leaking?! Finally, laptop described as having a backlit keyboard but this was wrong too! Honestly no idea what they've sent me but I feel like they expect most people not to notice these things and try sneak it past you. Now got to return my item, find a printer for the returns label etc, wait for my money back then buy a laptop again from another website. What a waste of my time, money and effort! Would not order from here again definitely.

Awful! Traded my phone in with these guys and they haven’t paid me. The phone has arrived with them but the money isn’t in my account. I’m out of pocket and they won’t resolve the problem.

Faulty products. Appalling service. Purchased as a present, not charged or opened until Christmas Day because of this. The touch screen on the watch sent did not work at all following charging and the product had not even restored to factory settings as was locked with a pre-existing passcode (which couldn’t even have been attempted due to touch screen not working). Because of this it was returned within 14 days of being received (those 14 days including the Christmas period) However the company are refusing to repair or replace despite having sold an unusable, and clearly not restored, product in the first instance. The product is being returned and, whilst I could fix the touch screen at my own expense, this will not resolve the problem of the pre-existing passcode. The 30day change of mind and 1 year warranty advertised have not been honoured. Regard the company to be wholly disreputable.

Hopefully you get to read this before they get to delete this comment as well!! ****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**** If you actually do receive the item you paid for hopefully you don’t have any issues as this company only replies to you until they get your money. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My daughter ordered a phone from back market order number 33727493 that didn't work after 2 days, was returned on the 25th of October 2023 and initially back market stated that they had received the phone back and stated they would repair, replace or refund, replied again on the 31st and stated there was nothing in the package, they then asked us to send in a police report and stated when they receive that we would get a refund after 2 days ( another lie ) they have sent another message again today 30/11/23 stating they want a police report ( already sent ) proof of handover, id, and statement of payment, it's just one thing after another and 5 weeks later, I think they drag it on so you get fed up and give in, I the parent bought the phone for my daughter for £210.09, so have lost my money and still don't have a phone, the company is probably ok unless you have a problem, can't call them can't do a live chat just have to wait for days on end for a reply. 12/12/2023 update today Not refunding the lost phone and have suspended my account so unable to speak to them anymore stating there's fraudulent activity on my account the only fraudulent activity is the company BACK MARKET so if your stupid enough to purchase from them hope you dont have any problems. 23/12/2023 Bought the same phone from CEX, a lot more professional and 2 years warranty and you can talk to proper humans if you have a problem instead of conmen.

Awful experience with Back Market. Purchased two iPhones for my children for Christmas. We’re unable to set them up with out a ‘company portal’ tried everything but unable to get around it on both iPhones. After a number of messages sent phones back before Christmas- still waiting for a refund after numerous messages!! Do not buy from these!

I ordered a phone over a week ago for my sons birthday present, his first mobile. I paid the extra 5 euros for express delivery in 48 hours its been over a week and I still have not receive the phone so he had NO BIRTHDAY present and was so upset. I still dont have the phone or a refund. Terrible company do not buy from them.

Back market send items from a 3rd party. I sent a phone back to a unit in Ruislip who said it hadn't been delivered even though Ali who does work there had signed for it back market said nothing to do with them and wouldn't help .

this is a horrible place to buy anything i paid extra money for my sons iphone 8 to come early and came 6 days late still hasnt come. my son went to his dad's house without a brithday present .it is a NIGHTMARE

I recently purchased a refurbished Wii. Shortly after I paid the package was "lost". The seller demanded that I provide a copy of my passport or driver's licence in order to commence an investigation. This sounds highly suspicious and creates the potential for identity theft or fraud. I have no device and I am out of pocket. Do yourself a favour and use Amazon instead.
