“As a senior on a fixed income and unable to hold a gas trimmer anymore, I opted to buy a B&D Max String trimmer #LST201, delivery was great, I read the manual, attached the guard and set about to charge the 20V battery, which took 5 HOURS, put it on the trimmer and proceeded to trim, battery lasted only 23 Minutes????? recharge took another 4+HOURS. Now I have to purchase another battery at 3/4 cost of the trimmer. Terrible additional cost! will return trimmer, and look elsewhere.”
“Last May I got a Home Depot credit card, purchased a dishwasher and paid Home Depot for the install. They sent someone to install it but it was not done properly and it caused the dishwasher to leak to my neighbor below. I had to pay a $1000 deductible to my insurance because damages were about $3500 which doesn't include the time both myself and my poor cat had to live with the horribly loud restoration equipment. My insurance paid the claim but I was still out the deductible and Home Depots insurance basically told me too bad so sad...they can't do anything about it and tried to give me $200 in gift cards to appease me. Issue is I don't have a lot of money. Had to pay $1000 out of my pocket on top of the dishwasher and still have an outstanding bill that arrived late for close to $400 that won't be covered by insurance. I've sent Home depots multiple emails but they don't give a shit. I have to pay $100 to take them to court and I will win but I just don't have the money to do so right now so instead I'm spreading the word to as many people as possible”
“I would give it a zero star if I could, I placed an order online because It was online exclusive and the estimated delivery date was May 18-20. Because I needed it by the 22nd I based my purchase decision on the provided delivery date otherwise I would have purchased elsewhere for cheaper. Here we are the 18th and it still has not shipped so I contacted customer support via chat. 3 hours to tell me that the expected delivery date is May 26. I asked why they mislead on there website and they say they are only estimates. Well if I go online again, it now say May 20- 22 when they know they can’t get it there until at least May 26th. No pick up option, no expedite option. Nothing! I needed this item here for a specific date for a reason and if I knew it could not have been here I would have not placed my order with them. But I guess that is there whole purpose of giving inaccurate delivery dates they figure I bit pricier but faster delivery so they will bite the Nate. Well this is the last time I bite the bait with them. Do not place an order online if you are basing your decision on their delivery lead time. Customer service is very poor as well.”

“Home Depot customer service phone system is terrible. I waited one hour to speak to someone!! After waiting four months to receive a new range for our cottage, we were contacted by Samsung who confirmed that the range we ordered had been shipped to Canada Cartage , and should arrive ONE DAY later than the date designated for delivery on the Home Depot tracking site. After waiting one week after the promised date, and the range had still not been received I called Canada Cartage who said they did not even have our range! I called Home Depot again, waited one hour again and was told they did not know where it was or when it would be delivered. Samsung told me that Canada Cartage always has issues with receiving orders & not knowing if an item is at their warehouse. Items sit on trucks and are not processed for days. I was so frustrated that nobody could tell me where my range was that I cancelled my order. Then five days later, Canada Cartage phoned to say they could deliver the order I had cancelled a week earlier!! Nobody at Home Depot had even told them the order had been cancelled. Ridiculous and very disorganized system! So I called Leon's, and had a new range delivered in THREE DAYS! When I called Leon's an associate answered the phone immediately not after an hour like Home Depot! If you call ANY department in a Home Depot store NOBODY ever answers the phone. However, Leon's has excellent customer service. I will NEVER order anything online from Home Depot again. Canada Cartage is going to ruin Home Depots reputation!! Home Depot also needs to hire more people in customer service to deal with high volume of online orders. Nobody should have to wait ONE HOUR to get service.Senior Management needs to read the terrible reviews Home Depot is getting on the internet or they will lose a lot of business. Next time I want something for my home, I will be spending my money at Leons NOT Home Depot!”

“I ordered a trailer and received a tracking number. When the product dod not arrive on time I enquired with the transport agent and they told me that they were not responsible as they passed it on to an unknown delivery service. I get a call from the delivery service person and they have mixed up the order he tries to give me a hot tub cover which I have never ordered. So I try to chat with a homedepot agent and they just close the conversation without any proper response. Now I have been charged for the trailer and they have no idea where my trailer is .”
“The Memphis Home Depot store on Popular Avenue store has consistently disappointed me very time I have had deliveries ship from their store. The first time I ordered a storage house and on the day it was to be shipped I received a call saying the order was cancelled. After several call to customer service and the Memphis store the order was re-instated. On ****, I purchase on line ,building materials and paid extra to have them delivered on May *. On May * I received an email saying the order was delayed and that and would arrived on May * between *:** Am and **:** AM. When items had not arrive by **:** am I pulled up the tracking I found that the items had not been sent. I called customer service and was handed over to Tiffany, who informed me that the truck that was to transport the items to my house had left my order behind. She handed me over to a supervisor who told me that all she could do was find out why my order was left behind. The Supervisor didn't seem to care that they had already disappointed me twice and scheduled the delivery for May * ( * day Late). She also accused me of being rude because I complained about the lousy service I was receiving and Hung up on me.”

“The people who works at store 7136 (50 Kirkham Dr, Markham Ontario) are absolute horrible. They have no knowledge at all. You needed to well prepared before to avoid being screw. When they made a mistake, they never apologized. Instead, they will be given you an attitude and excuses. I did purchase s set of appliances from this store. At the beginning we told the salesperson the discount offer from the website and he advised that would be only applied for online order. Later on we found out there was not the truth and the store manager actual got the needed to call the same staff and told him what needed to be done.
Later on we found out the delivered date was wrong after to book a date to for date off. We called the Customer Service Line and being told nothing they could do but to reschedule it. On the deliver date, the time frame for deliver supposed to be in between 2:30pm to 6:30pm but the delivery team changed the time without my confirmation and make me travel all the way from Scar to Newmarket but not able to wait and the driver then called and told me he needed to leave.
When I went back to the store #7136 and asked for the manager assistance, a gentleman 's name call HENRY came with an attitude. He was not willing to listen, keep telling this was not their fault, not willing to offer any assistance etc. This is horrible services. I will give NO STAR and not recommending anyone to spend your hardworking money towards this Home Depot, especially this store in Markham. What a HORRIBLE COMPNAY AND STAFF!!!”
“Beware when ordering online. I purchased 2 undermount sinks online as they are not sold in store. They shipped my order, but when it arrived, it only included 1 of 2 sinks. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to sort it out. When you call customer service, they are always “at capacity” and you can’t speak to anyone. I tried online chat and text message. They gave me a ticket number, however, I have not heard back. Every time I text to check on such ticket number, I’m told they don’t handle it and I have to call in to speak to a supervisor. I can’t call in because they are at capacity.
I paid for 2 sinks and received 1. I can’t install my countertop without 2 of them. So now my bathroom Reno is delayed.
Home Depot has the worst customer service. Especially considering it was their mistake.”

The lady was so rude to me and she said we never had the air conditioner in stuck from the beginning. This is while they took money out of our account and told us to pick up in a week. “Hands down the most non existent service possible. It may have solely to do with on line ordering. DO NOT USE HOME DEPOTS ON LINE SETVICE.
Their computer program is not capable of handling an order that includes more than purchase and mail delivery. If u purchase an appliance, pay for install and takeaway of the old machine it simply won't happen with anything under 10 hours or more of your time attempting to get someone somewhere to complete the order.
Service is in eastern Canada. Time zone service is Eastern Canada. As you move west you lose daytime hours to wait on line in the somewhat fruitless hope that your appliance will indeed b delivered, installed and old appliances removed.
If u live in a condo b prepared for appliances and boxes to be cluttering your livjngvsrea while you wait weeks for install followed by takeaway service.”
“Worst phone customer service or should i say no customer service at all. So disappointed as I bought most of our stuff for reno from them. I ordered my vanity online ahead to make sure it arrived on time, it arrived early than expected except that porcelain sink are in so many pieces. Spoke with someone over the phone and she offered a discount if i keep the vanity! Why would I keep something I cannot use! The delay will set me back another 2 weeks to completion as it will take that long to get another one & now would have to pay extra for the contractor/plumber to install it. She placed me on hold for 30 mins, I believe they do this purposely so you’ll just end up giving up & they wont have to deal with the problem! Lesson learned, Never again!”
“I never write review but felt I should this time. We are doing a complete home renovation and buying most of our stuff from Home Depot. In the last 8 months we have spent about $35 000.00 at Home Depot and still have about $15 000.00 more to go before our house is completed. To some this may not seem like a lot but to 2 seniors looking to get their home of 33 years ready to sell so they can retire it is a lot. Our latest experience with Home Depot delivery service was to get new appliances delivered. This round was $4 000.00 on Fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. The experience did not start out great with missed delivery date and many phone calls all with different answers (all in one day). The next day everything changed I called their Project Support Centre and was lucky enough to have my call answered by a lady named Nancy.
Nancy really took great care of us. She went above and beyond to find our items and have them delivered to us as fast as she possible could. She at no time made us feel like she had anything but our best interest at heart. She followed our delivery and then followed up after to make sure we were happy with the service she provided. I was about ready to give up on Home Depot but changed my mind after dealing with Nancy.
I am not sure if anyone from Home Depot actually reads the reviews that are left online but if they do you have a real gem in Nancy and are lucky to have her working for you.
We will continue to use Home Depot as our first stop for building supplies solely because Nancy showed us respect, compassion and renewed our faith in Home Depot.”
“The worst experience with online shoping. I got an electric ranger from Home Depot. It came after 10 days. They drop it and said we can’t turn it on and have to wait for glasses to get to the same temperature as room. After a few hours , the lower oven didn’t warm up at all.I couldn’t turn of the light in either ovens and the oven looked second hand and used. It took me more than 10 days to get to customer service and request to pick the oven . I waited for another 10 days and I didn’t get anybody called again they had put order to replace instead of return. Finally after one month they came and took it . They didn’t give me any recipe or confirmation number. They didn’t return my money back to Home Depot credit card. I was charged intrest . It took me 3 hours from one extension to another and bing hang out a couple of times till I to actually find a human to talk . They returned the money but fir intrest , they asked me to send the home depot credit card statement for them to pay that back . You have to spend lots of time and pay for their mistakes. And I was so tired and exhausted I an gonna pay the rest of credit card then shredded it and never go back there.”
“Furnace prices are extremely inaccurate, website states average furnace for a 1500 sf house is $3900. Totally understand its an "average". The subcontractor for home depot quoted me $6500-$7200 for my 1178 sf home(RT Heating&AC). Not extra work, just the furnace replacement. Very misleading information, when brought up to home depot they were all full of excuses. Waste of my time and hopefully help other customers not get "bent over the rails" -March/2022 Red Deer, Alberta, Canada
