After sending a parcel from the UK to Peru, it arrived in excellent time. However, after this the nightmare began. The prohibited lists of items changed to suit the Peruvian officials and they did not mirror Peru's prohibited items. Goal posts were moved to suit their own agendas. Ipostparcels / DHL cannot be contacted by phone and they were passing the buck the whole time between UK & Peru. Eventually after allot of towing and throwing my parcel of £300 face value (insured) was going to be returned free of change. My item was now in the UK, so I'm thinking great let’s just get the package and start again, however I was then met by an email of financial extortion (see Pic) to pay for the return postage or your package is "destroyed" AKA it's contents of any value will be resold on the black market here in the UK. I was even pressurised to pay within a certain deadline. Suffice to say everyone, including ipostparcels/DHL as a matter of principle for you guys not communicating effectively to your Peruvian branch of DHL and holding myself to financial extortion I will allocate a solicitor in the UK to challenge this decision as matter of principle rather than necessity. You simply cannot treat customers so abysmally. For those of you contemplating using this company...... Do not send anything you don't mind losing When you see the additional charge for insurance and opt for it whilst booking - be aware it's bogus, they have no insurance policy to compensate you. In conclusion if Ipostparcels/ DHL are aware of corruption in Peru, then you either don't offer your services to emerging economic countries or if you do, be prepared for the high expectancy of compensation claims. Is there 0=ZERO star? DHL is basically a Mickey Mouse operation. Several people and departments not having a clue of what basic customer service mean. Thinking it would have been quicker to deliver stuff to my company before going on holiday, I booked with ipostparcel (a dept of DHL handling the payment and refunds) for a collection from my house to happen the day after for a next day delivery. The collection did not happen - And I waited between 8am and 6pm, the comfortable time window I was given when booking. DHL customer service could see in their "system" (is there one?) that the driver had come to my address but nobody was in. Not only there were 2 people in the house, but also a loud dog, our neighbours know when the postman is at the door. Go ask them. As I am off on holiday tomorrow afternoon I proposed to have the parcel collected tomorrow before 10am, worst case, or get my money back. DHL customer service could not guarantee that. Luckily I could do the following. I will wait until I can tomorrow and if nobody collects the parcel I go on holiday, as I would be, allegedly, refunded my money if several collections are attempted and I am not in But this is not practical for me, as I MUST deliver this parcel this week, as it is needed by a colleague at work ASAP. If a customer asks DHL customer service for a refund, they do not have the power to trigger the refund. Do you want a refund? Go on twitter, whether you have a twitter account or not, connect with ipostparcel twitter account, send them a Direct Message and hope they get back to you. So far, 1 hour on, no answer. No hope in hell they will do until 10pm tonight, when they close for the day,

Ordered online, it unfortunately the supplier used DHL. The onlone tracking said my parcel had been delivered......it had not. I was in all day. I contacted DHL, who contacted the driver, only to be told it had been delivered to a house with a blue front door. I do not have a blue front door!! How is it possible for a delivery driver to put a parcel with a clearly printed address label at a different address. Also, how can a they remember that?? They are handling hundreds of parcels all day - most going to the wrong place no doubt. DHL are no longer interested. So where is my parcel DHL? You are a complete clown outfit and should not be in business.

DON'T USE DHL EVER! I've heard DHL had really bad service for a longtime now so never voluntarily used their service at all. But I had two experiences with them because I purchased something online and the sellers mailed the parcels using DHL. Both times the parcels never arrived on time and what's really upsetting is that they gave you a delivery time that they don't stick to and make you sit at home wait for whole day and then send you the 'Sorry we missed you because you were not home' email when you have been home ALL DAY just for the sake of an important parcel. It's one thing that things went wrong and delivery is delayed but another when you let the customer to take the blame for something you made up. What's even more annoying is that after I received their funny email I called their customer service right away (literally right away so the driver might be able to come back if he is not far away). I was then told that customer service phoned the driver and he is coming back now as we were speaking and he would phone me before he arrives. At that moment I was like okay at least I can get my parcel today then I waited for another TWO HOURS and nothing. I then phoned the customer service again, who looked into the case and told me that the driver has returned to the depot and couldn't deliver today. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I wouldn't know the driver was not gonna come if I didn't phone them and they're just let you sit there and wait. I guess its NONE of their business anyway!!! Please DO NOT EVER USE their service if you are mailing something, there are plenty of other options, and the same for merchant, using DHL would only make the experience unpleasant for your customers, which is no good to you as well at the end of the day. I gave one star for the second customer advisor who were at least helpful at sorting out whats happening.

Said they'd called to collect parcel,we were in but heard & saw nothing. Were out next day so arranged day after for pickup. They called on day we were out. So had,to,take parcel to depot 19miles away. Their telephone customer service is an automated answer machine which is useless.

3 minutes ago Awful service - be careful My parcel was due for delivery between 9am and 10am on Tuesday the 16th of July, nothing arrived and I went out at 10:30am until 2pm. When I got home there was no delivery attempt card and tracking info had changed to say that it was due for delivery on Wednesday 17th of July. On Wednesday it had still not arrived, so I checked the tracking info again and it was now saying that my parcel had been deliver on the Tuesday and that it was signed for by me at 12:21pm. No one was home during this time and I haven’t received my parcel. When I emailed them I got no reply. So I direct messaged them on twitter. I asked to see a copy of the signature as clearly this is fake/or a lie as I did not sign for this parcel, was not in at that time and have not received this parcel. They told me that they are not allowed to show me a copy of this signature. They have since ignored my messages. Awful service. Either the delivery driver has lied, delivered this to the wrong address or faked my signature. I have no idea where my parcel is and The customer service I have received so far is shocking. They basically told me they can’t help and it’s now the senders issue. But it was DHL that have lost this package. I think it’s ridiculous that I can’t see “proof” of this signature.

It happened again. I have been told that parcel will be delivered today between 5pn-6pm.. I was back home nice and early at 4pm. Delivery man never showed up. No surprised.. At 7 pm I rang dhl customer service. They told me that he has the same note in the system as me: Your parcel will be delivered today between 5 and 6 pm. Then the online status of my parcel has changed to: The delivery has been refused... Please contact the sender. (the sender lol) I went downstairs as I live in block of flats and have found BLANK note from dhl delivery man by the main doors of the block of flats. So I rang the customer service again, had been redirected several times again and FINALLY I have been told that the item was delivered 3 hours before agreed time, no one was at home and I have to rearrange the delivery, so I did. I will keep You updated.

I would never use or advise using this company. Why? read on. While I can accept that things can go wrong occasionally with delivery services, traffic, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, etc. but what is most exceptionally annoying is not advising the client when a delivery goes badly wrong. On Thursday I waited for my next day tracked delivery sent on the Wednesday, nothing arrived at the due time, after three hours overdue I checked their tracking on line, it stated that the delivery was due three hours previously, no mention of the delay. I checked again later, the tracking information had been updated advising that it would be next day, Friday, delivery with no explanation. On Friday, the tracking site had reverted to the original information, i.e. delivery was delayed until Friday. I waited all day until 4.00pm then contacted customer services by 'phone. The person who answered advised me the my parcel was back in the warehouse, she was very apologetic and told me they could not deliver on Saturday but that I could collect it myself, 49 miles away, on a Friday at 4.00pm? No thanks! Finally arrived 5 days late, no reason given, no apology and their terms and conditions effectively mean that no compensation is due.

Utterly useless company.....went for the next day service and 7 days later it is still not delivered and the latest message is they will attempt to deliver on day 10. The driver is delivering to a factory and claims he can't access yet when I call them they state they are open. The driver has a contact number for the receiver but obviously can't be bothered to call it. Whenever I try to call them it's an automated system so no one to speak to. USELESS!!

As others have reported, they said they tried to deliver but didn't. Then they reported the address was bad and couldn't deliver. The phone system is automated and its not possible to call even though their website says it is. Fortunately, I change the routing to a nearby shop and got my parcel. There was nothing wrong with the address.

Horrible experience. I shipped my luggage from the UK to Thailand. Shipping is pretty fast (only two days), but the customs process DHL dealt with took almost a month, a process that can be done in a day. On top of that, I also had to pay DHL quite a lot for the time (1 month) my luggage was kept in storage while DHL was veryyyy slowly dealing with thai customs. Would’ve gave it less than 1 star if I could.

Text at 10am of delivery at 1pm, missed the delivery due being away with limited phone access, second txt saying delivery next day with times, I organised for my daughter to be home. No delivery and no explanation as to where the parcel was, 4 days later they randomly deliver it to a parcel shop half an hour away, and claim that this had been requested and that’s why the second delivery never happened, this is lies. I have tried twice on line and 3 times by phone to get a code for collection, they claim to have sent the code, nothing received by me either by text or email. It’s just lie after lie. I would avoid buying from anyone who uses DHL

Appalling service. After not being able to get my parcel from a locker, despite several tries, I contacted Customer service who said they would deliver to my home. Waited in all day, no delivery. Phoned customer service at 7p a minute to be told they can't take the parcel out of the locker for re delivery for 7 days, so why I was told it would be re delivered a day later, God only knows. Poor organisation, clearly profiting at the cost of customer satisfaction. I order goods regularly from a company who use DHL, so will complain to them also about their choice of delivery company. If enough people complain maybe they dump you. Companies like DHL don't deserve to be in business.

Was told my delivery would be with me this afternoon, waited in, to get an email saying tried to deliver but I wasn't in. If you didn't have time as ideas towards the end of the day just say, don't lie and say you tried to deliver!
