Awful 1st experience of sending to abroad. There is a time when you want to send something to someone abroad first time, and you just ordinary person without law knowledge and something goes wrong from beginning. I decide to send birthday gifts to my family in Mexico with DHL ( just small two gifts with a little of sweets ), I went to DHL Service point to pick up suitable box to pack it in home, DHL worker didn't advised me that they will have to open that box later for check control so I packed that box very well, later I had to repack that box again in DHL service point because I was asked to open sealed box again ( I understand that they had to do that for security reason ). After I send my parcel in few days my dad has call from DHL and they explained that it's forbidden to send food in Mexico form EU, so they need to remove those sweets. We agreed ( however nobody in DHL wasn't advice me do not send sweets in Mexico ). Few days later my parcel was attempted to deliver, however courier was asked my dad to pay duties, which was marked in delivery statement I was signed, however DHL customer service desk should mark it CLEARLY that you have to pay duties or taxes. So resuming all experience it took 8 days to delivery my parcel with Express service and I had to pay 40£ for 2kg box and another 25£ of duties in Mexico! Never again, and it's not about money it's about services.

DHL are totally disgusting. They are the worst delivery company that I have dealt with in my entire life! I was supposed to receive my parcel on Tuesday the 29th October and it is still yet to arrive! Firstly I got an email saying that my parcel will be delivered on a certain time and then I got an email stating that my parcel will be delayed. I also got another email saying that they could not gain access, in which is a COMPLETE LIE as I live in a normal house with a very wide drive! You have to wait around 30mins on hold to get through to a shocking call center where all the advisers do is just lie and also cut you off!! I spoke to Susan who did nothing, Samantha who totally lied through her teeth saying that my parcel had been delivered and it CLEARLY HAS NOT!and Elisa who cut me off. I will never use DHL again for the rest of my life and advise everybody else to never use them! I also received an email and a text message, saying that my parcel has been delivered and it has not. I do believe that this is FRUAD, therefore will hope to take legal action!!! and I have saved all my emails and txt notifications for an audit trail and for evidence!! I will be taking this further and will be in touch with Trading Standards and the Ombudsman for sure about this! Oh and by the way, they have set something up so that I now cannot contact the call center and will have to use an alternative number in which costs SIX POUNDS starting off. So I advise thinking twice before using DHL

Absolutely the WORST delivery company in London. Drivers are big LIARS, they don't show up at the delivery address but they write (nobody was at home). I had the same problems with them more than 4 times where drivers skip delivery date and mention that nobody was at home, while I am waiting all day at home. The company management is to blame as they fail to do anything about it. It seems to me that this company, however big and global, is run by some stupids.

Don't pay for express delivery!! They told us lies about receiving day - they confirmed 4 times - on the phone and face to face as well, i payed for 24 hours express and the parcel will be delivered in 4 days!!!

My parcel has not been delivered, no card was left and no email info received so i cannot track down the parcel. Contact DHL Who say it will be re delivered the next day. Its not 11pm and no delivery still

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Told delivery 15:22 - 16:22. Got message at 16:32 on their booking screen to say they were running late. At 16:40 got message: 24th October 2019 16:40 - We're sorry but we haven’t been able to deliver as our driver was unable to gain access to the delivery address. This is a lie. I am in. There is no problem accessing my flat. My door bell was never rung. I kept checking the road (I live in a cul de sac with very good visibility of the road) but no sign of a van. I do not live near to the collection point. I do not have a safe place to leave parcels. Not all my neighbours are in during the day or reliable.

Next day delivery... I'm on day 3 waiting for my delivery to arrive. Everything went well at first, I received despatch emails from DHL, the following day I was stood outside my house and my phone pinged saying DHL had attempted delivery but I wasn't at home... Total lies, they were nowhere to be seen. I spent 30 minutes getting through to their contact centre to be told that the driver had lied and had scanned my parcel when he was nowhere near my house, they checked their GPS system. Apologies passed and promises of delivery the following day. That came and went with zero contact. I haven't been able to get through to them. Absolute shambles of a company AVOID AVOID AVOID

Delivered to home address, wasn't in, had redelivered to DHL drop off shop. Didn't leave me with pick up code or any instruction how to pick up. Staff in pick up shop rude and a jobsworth. Called DHL, struggled to get through to correct department. Was told pick up code would be sent to my phone in 30 mins, 7 days later DHL do not give two hoots, having it out on twitter with them and they seem to not understand how I can pick up the item. Missed the gift it was intended for. DHL do not care. Are compensating me even though I paid £6.99 for next day delivery. Would NEVER use again. Stressful from start to finish. Worst delivery company I've experienced.

My advice is do not purchase anything from a company that uses DHL to deliver goods. There tracking is not up to date, there are days when nothing happens to your parcel and they use the word EXCEPTION when they fail to deliver on the day expected, whatever that means! Avoid at all costs, it’s not worth the stress.

Rubbish service ... Was in when the email said thay attempted delivery.... Opted then to drop off at one of there collection points - 7 days aweek 730 to 2300 - food and wine shop open.... Ques what, driver couldn't drop off , shop not open ! ! Pathetic service joke company

What went wrong? No response to my on-line query, which I sent 16 days ago. Nobody to speak to on the Customer Care number - it's automated only. And most of all, no parcel which was due to arrive almost three weeks ago.

The day after DHL were supposed to deliver my Nest product they delivered some prescription medicine were a signature was required. They pushed the medicine through the letter box. Nice one

Ordered a Nest Google Hub Max from Google. Had email delivery 14 Oct. No delivery - couldn't get DHL to answer. Contacted Google - they couldn't get DHL to answer. Wasted 2 hours on the phone. DHL said we are not in. Google camera proved no one had attempted delivery. If Google can't hold of DHL how can I?

DRIVER IS A LIAR Received a message this morning saying: The below followed by an email, this is a complete lie I have been in all day watching tv in my front room, I have Ring Video Doorbell to prove no one came, and no card left, lying waste of time company. Your shipment PM7675735 is estimated for collection by DHL Parcel UK between 15:41 - 16:41. Then I get an email 17:28 saying WE STOPPED BY Unfortunately, nobody was home to collect your parcel. Our DHL Parcel driver attempted to collect your parcel at 17:28 today, but unfortunately you were away. ABSOLUTE LIARS This is the response from DHL. Me Absolute joke, waited in all day, just got email saying we missed you been in my front room for last 3 hours. No ones been, I have ring video door bell to prove it. A DHL Employee BLATANTLY STOLE MY PACKAGE! First delivery attempt- Claimed the item was signed for by myself! The buzzer did not ring, I only knew due to the email I received. I was home waiting for this package. Second delivery attempt- claimed my item was signed for at Emma Flat C when my estate only has numbered flats😳 again my buzzer didn’t ring? I was at home waiting for the package 😳 DHL employees are thieves with no real excuses. The company I purchased the item from will take more action before ai can receive a refund. Really wanted the item which was a birthday present to myself. Such a shame and waste of time. This company will go into administration if these antics carry on. I am a very unhappy customer ☹️ Worst unprofessional delivery service I have ever experienced this type of fraudulent behaviour with.

DO NOT USE THIS COURIER DO NOT USE THIS COURIER This is one of the worst courier service I used it they just RIPED me off, I lost a lot of money, I sent my parcel from Sutton Coldfield Birmingham UK to UAE after looking the box size and price online I went and drop it off on their courier service, they charged me £50. I just received the message that they will not be able to deliver the parcel and I have to pay 350 UAE Dhurms to deliver my parcel which they are saying is TAX from UAE government, now I have to pay another £80 to deliver my parcel. I consider this is cheering, they never mentioned any thing when I posted my item neither it mentioned on their website that TAX will be charged, I an very disappointed from their service, never expect this kind of service from big company, please never ever use this company, can anybody please guide me that what should I do, I want to open some kind of legal action against them so at least they do not deal the customers like that Muyasser Memon

Their phone helpdesk is appalling, you just can't seem to speak to anyone. When you call the head office to complain it just hangs up. Absolutely ptaagg

I feel like I didn’t get what I paid for. The staff have no co-ordination in Uk and in Kenya. They first told me it will take 3-4 days to ship my parcel to Kenya but now it’s 11days. I was also not prompted about extra custom cost for my parcel while in transit. When I call them they keep brushing me off. It ended up costing much more money and stress. Would not recommend to use it.
