“Worst postal company ever. I needed to send some items for a wedding within a week. DHL never came to pick up the package on the assigned date. No pick up on the next day, Nor the next. Then weekend. So now These people are four days late. And no use in sending the parcel. The worst case is you can not even call and ask for a refund. Waste of my time and money. I posted a suitcase from Germany to Portugal in August. It’s now 3 MONTHS LATER and the bag, full of warm clothes, is still missing and I’m cold.
The online tracker states the bag is in a German distribution centre. I spent 90 minutes on the phone to find out what happened to the bag, and got through to three different people. They either forwarded me onto someone else, who hung up, or hung up themselves. Words cannot describe how shocked I am by how TERRIBLE DHL IS! I submitted my claim via their online portal to report the missing bag. It's been three weeks and still nothing back from DHL!
DO NOT TRUST DHL WITH YOUR BELONGS!!! THEY WILL LOSE YOUR STUFF, AND THEN IGNORE YOU. UNFORGIVABLE! ”

I can see not just me is going through the same problems with DHL,do they even know what customer service means?
My parcel was delivered and signed by my self when I was at work.Wow magic!Then they tell you after raising this problem with Customer service that they will look in to this and get back to you ASAP,well obviously nobody did.Finally spoke to some useless customer service advisor and she told me my parcel will be delivered today and all of the sudden you get and email from Customer service (that you emailed a week ago) telling you to get in touch with the sender as they can’t find the parcel!Don’t know to laugh out loud or cry!You ask to speak to the manager well they don’t bloody exist! Got this message around 3 hours after the website was stuck telling me I would be the next stop.
"We're sorry but we haven’t been able to deliver as our driver was unable to gain access to the delivery address"
As far as I can tell this means the driver couldn't be bothered delivering my parcel or didn't have the time.
Now I have to pick it up from a store as they won't redeliver on a Sunday.
Completely useless, I wish Halfords would use a different delivery service and I have never had a parcel on time with this company.

“Had a txt message to say parcel was being delivered 12.35-13.35. At 11.46 had 3 missed calls. Was driving at the time. No voicemail left. Finally managed to get hold of the driver. He had left it with a neighbour which was unacceptable to my husband. The sender got them to pick it up but they obviously didn't like that and have failed to deliver. Sender now using another courier for our delivery. Will never knowingly use D H L again.”

Tried the registrar, official USC postal mailbox, the secretary's office and her own personal address, as well as one of the staff's rented mailbox. None of them were delivered. “I have purchased a watch from ebay for over £5300,paid for signed for delivery and insurance to the seller Germany who used Dhl.
Dhl’s driver had put in the tracking that it was delivered ,left it by my door and signed forcit himself while I was not at home.which is physically not possible ,if I was there and signed for he will not take a picture of the parcel left by my door and put left in a aafe place but at the same time I signed for it!
When I asked for refund as I never found the item Paypal and ebay said that it was delivered ans signed for so no refund.
Dhl kept telling lies like the driver gad the right to leave the parcel by the door and sign for it himself because of Covid,so if it’s true ,why are they still charging same amounts and still have the option of signed for, I asked them of this explanation written in their terms and condition but never had an answer.
I explained that on their website it says that if client is not present they should leave a card for the client to decide for a collection or a redelivery. Or they can leave the item in a safe place or with a neighbour only with a request from the client but never leave an expensive or inexpensive item that is recorded delivery by the door.
I feel like I was scammed by Dhl and people should know my story and avoid using them they don’t care about complaints and they are not registered with Ombudsman.”

Even being told my parcel would be delivered on Wednesday, which it wasn't, to then find out on tracking that it had been returned to sender that same day!!!! To then have the parcel arrive without any notification. Absolutely pathetic and that's being kind. Reading other reviews, just confirms it isn't a one off. I will never use them again.”
“DHL is a portal to Hades, a place where parcels, common sense and delivery service dies. I ordered merchandise from Europe, waived the mandatory signature requirement on the parcel and was told it would arrive Oct 15th. It didn’t. It got stuck 45 minutes away and they want me to pick it up! I never agreed to that, the vendor never arranged for that…DHL did this all on their own. I’m not making a 90 minute round trip drive just because DHL can’t manage to put the box on a truck. Oh…one of their customer service people promised delivery to me by Oct 20th and I even received an UPDATED DELIVERY email confirmation from them. Did it arrive? Oh no. It remains untouched in Santa Ana, CA and today I was told THEY COULD NOT DELIVER IT, I MUST PICK IT UP. Well guess what? I’m not doing that, I already paid for delivery. I’m filing a chargeback request for the merch, getting my money back and giving up on the order…I have more important things to do than appease a delivery courier that cannot deliver! Common sense is not common enough and DHL has apparently set the customer care bar so low you need a shovel to see it. Truly pathetic, they store freight rather than deliver it.”
“Knowing I wasn't going to be in on the day of delivery I rearranged it for the following day via their website, saving them the effort of calling. I waited in all day (the rescheduled day) and nothing. No notification or courtesy email. I then log-on to their website at the end of the day to try and find out what happened and find that they've changed the day of my delivery to another, thereby masking my original requested date.
Please stay away from this company and use another instead for the sake of your own wellbeing. (I've never had any issues with Hermes or ParcelForce).”
