After putting in payment details was bombarded with add on requests and other insurances information. Is this really necessary?

Called today to try and get a chnage of viechal on my policy. I had looked on comparw sites and found a number of quotes including from one call. Having been with one call a number if years i was hopeing they would be able to meet or match other quotes for a current customer. Unfortunately they were inable to find the details of the new car (which every other company, including their's was able to find through a compare site) and therefore unable to offer any form of insurance over the phone. Clearly needing insurance cover in time to collect the new car the next day i had been given no choive but to cancel my current policy with one call then and there and go with a different insurance company instead. They seemed completely unbothered that they were going to loose a customer and cancled the policy in seconds. No form of personal customer care at all.

I told out this cover on a Saturday evening when I bought an emergency car as mine had broken and was going to take a long time to fix. Cover is not immediate like other companies and I had to wait until mid day on the Sunday until this was sorted which took a phone call to verify. Submitting driver details doesn't work, the online chat function is good if you get someone who knows what they are talking about. I had someone who obviously had to keep going away and finding out the answer and when I questioned the cost of cancelling she came back with 2 different prices. I then called up and spoke to someone else who gave me a completely different price. I have had the policy for 3 weeks and with my deposit and direct debit being taken they still wanted to take nearly £40 from me to cover their cancellation cost and the insurance companies days on cover which I can't find specified in the policy document and the agent on the phone couldn't tell me what this cost per day is and just told me it varies and they use a lot of companies. Which doesn't help me as the customer.

Tried to contact to change personal details....spent 20 minutes on phone , went through 5 sub menus to get to right place , then waited 10 mins for an advisor....who did deal with the call in quick time. "One Call" yes , but a bl**dy long one.

decent price but the worst ever experience of them trying to sell extra services... so many click to make, I wouldn't have used them if I had known they do this

Wasn't updated as to why there were huge periods of silence, had to say hello several times? Turns out she was reading. A simple explanation would have kept me in the loop. Also lots of background noise from other callers was off-putting

Tried to ring twice and got cut off both times as I wanted to get cover for two motorcycles, so now just done one online with yourselves and the other I will get another quote.

Nice lady but unable to solve the problem. I am unable to print off a legible copy of my policy document. There are many letters missing . It appears to be okay at your end but not when I receive it

Great prices but i feel mis-sold as on comparethemarket it shows that the follow features were included with the quote but only to find out that they actually wasn't when it came to the final payment... In fact they took the payment first and then: - Personal Accidental: 3 months trials then price increased. - Recovery - wasn't the same either and a few more items. Its stressing enough so i dont even want to continue typing lol.

Sorted change to policy at last after 2 bad previous experiences with different advisors and only got the admin fee knocked off new policy to apologise. Still had no response to my previous complaint a reduction to my new policy would be a better gesture.

Tried to record a change of address online. The system collected my new details then directed me to "Live Chat". Was 12th in the queue and had to wait 10 mins to get contact. After "chatting" briefly, was advised that could not do this on live chat??? but had to phone "Platinum Team" and then a further wait in another queue!! Once through, the phone call was dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I had to wait for 25mins to be connected to adviser Brad, (BR4) who was very good & explained everything I needed to do, even though I was very cross after waiting so long. & being told constantly I could do the live chat online, But the whole reason I had called was because live chat was not available!!!!

I live chatted with a member of your team and asked to change the bank I pay my instalments from and the date I pay them. I got short answers i.e. ‘that has been done’ rather than a full confirmation e.g. ‘ I can confirm we have changed the date of your payments to ___’ and your payments will now be taken from bank account with sort code ___’.. Because I felt unclear about what had actually been done I then had two phone your helpline - where I spoke to Nathan who was very helpful and was able to update my details and reassure me that both items had been done.

i completed all necessary information online including, my driving licence , i was surprised and alarmed to receive a letter 2 weeks later saying my policy would be cancelled if i did not supply my details. Not a good start from one call need to ensure their admin is up to standard which is not reflected on their reviews if theses are even true.

Tried calling by phone but 20th in queue so switched to live chat. Then told although I opted for documents by post when purchased the policy on line, as a policy they do not send that out in order to save the planet. I just don't get it why they do not remove that option at all. I have been waiting for weeks then being told they do not do it. Rather disappointed.
