No time slot, no one to talk to, no phone call 30 mins before delivery. Waited 12 hours. Rubbish

There was no delivery attempt as there was people at home, however, i was shocked when checking the tracking that it was saying that the delivery was made and refused and would be delivered on the following day as requested. Blatant lie. No wonder why 90% of the reviews are very bad. They are lucky that there is no negative stars otherwise they would be on the red. AVOID this company and stay way from it.

Absolutely appalling. Incompetent driver failed to use any initiative to find our house. First in 17 years of living here. Promises of delivery the following day, not kept, now being told it's the to be the next day ! Call centre is useless. Even the complaints team don't give out correct information and neither do they do anything to resolve. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Thus has got to be the worst delivery service ever. I wouldn't even allocate this company a one star however if I didn't Iy would allow me to record my review. I have been awaiting a delivery via this company, had no contact whatsoever albeit they have my phone number and email address and they held onto the parcel for 5 days in a cage then returned to the supplier. Please any company who utilises Dpd for deliveries, think twice as I certainly will be taking this into consideration when placing any future orders. Thank you dpd for spoiling my grandchilds birthday

Awful company - never deliver the goods when they say they will - always put you're out when you're not, today specifically I waited in for a really important delivery (paid extra for the delivery time) - watched the driver on their tracking system get to 100 metres of my property then i receive a text saying I'm not in. In addition there is no number to reach them on - the customer service number is totally automated. Rubbish organisation

I had a completely DISASTROUS experience with these DPD people and I'm going to tell you all about it so you don't get SCAMMED the same way I did. I ordered a package with an express delivery for the next day. SO, on the next day, before it was about to arrive, they sent me an email telling me to choose what to do with the package if I wasn't at home. I was not at home, so I clicked on the link telling me to choose a delivery location close to my home. The moment I did that, I got a message telling me my delivery had been changed for the following day. There was NOTHING on the page alerting me that the date of my delivery would be changed. If it had been, it must have been in very small print, hidden somewhere. I needed the package urgently, that's why I had decided to pay EXTRA money in order to have it as soon as possible. So I called them telling them that there must have been some error and that I still wanted my package on that day. The customer service people were all very nice and offered the option of collecting the package from the depot which was MILES away, it would have taken me 4 hours back and forth. That was ALL they could do, they said they could not change the delivery on the system, as if they didn't own it. After insisting and wasting a lot of my time and stressing me to an extreme point, they conceded to bring me the package the next day at home. I had to basically beg them to send it home, since, as they had already FAILED on my delivery and the object was to no use to me anymore, there was no point for me to collect from a place near me. They said they would do that and the next day, guess what? They delivered it at a shop near me, NOT AT HOME. So they basically LIED to me. They also refused to pay my money back. So, let's resume: I paid for a service they DIDN'T PROVIDE, the package was USELESS to me when it came, they LIED to me to get rid of me. This company is a DISGRACE. I can only assume they have this little entrapment scheme going on, where their site baits you to change your delivery date so that they can have time to deliver as many packages as they can and so they can get away with ROBBING people that they can't actually serve. It was a HOPRRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I will specifically buy things that are not delivered through them from now on. I would rather walk to China and buy my products from there than pay these THIEVES another penny.

Ordered hair product from an online store and chose (and paid) for next day delivery. This was a Thursday. Had a text from DPD with options to have the parcel delivered to a local store - chose this as I would have been out of the house for approx 2 hours on the Friday and didn't want to miss it. The next morning I received an email from the online store saying my parcel wouldn't now be delivered until Monday! Product ordered was needed for Sunday, so called their customer service only to be told that there was nothing they could do, and as they had dispatched the item on time they would not refund the £7 delivery charge! Was 'advised' that this was somehow my fault for choosing delivery to a store as it would have 'interrupted' DPD's route!! The store is approximately a mile from my house. Is not the first time DPD have failed to deliver items next day - I honestly don't know why companies employ them as couriers - they are so unreliable.

Useless. Half the time they don't ring the door bell and leave parcels with a neighbour when I'm in. Other times they ring the door bell then go straight round the side to dump their delivery without even giving me a chance to get to the front door. I expect a delivery person to wait a reasonable amount of time. At least thirty seconds!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Drivers are all lazy and the customer services are hopeless. I called as my parcel wasn't delivered to any of my neighbours as requested.. I was told he tried 4/5 doors when I knew 2 of my neighbours were in. I then called the customer services team to be told the driver hasn't got the time to return.. I then asked to speak with a manager, which was replied to 'the manager doesn't have the time' the service overall is appalling. I WILL NEVER USES THESE AGAIN!!!!!

The lady at Dpd said they were running behind and had missed me out to try and catch up. She assured me that they would come back and deliver. No body came back and I stayed in all day. They then sent an email saying that I wasn't in when they called. Blatant LIES

Shambolic bunch of liars. Signed up to Amazon prime, who apparently use dpd, I can only assume because they are extremely cheap??? Received email saying that my parcel would be delivered that afternoon. It wasn't, however later received another email stating that it couldn't be delivered as we were out????? We live on a tiny no through road and have two extremely vocal dogs.... no one gets in or out of here without being noticed... Plus we were in the garden all afternoon. To add insult to injury, I then received an email saying that I had requested a change of delivery slot!!!! Total Bollocks. Amazon you need to rethink your delivery options. Dpd are rubbish.

Waited in for what will be 2 days. Told they had tried to deliver and left a calling card (BS) then waited in on day 3 (today) it's now almost midnight so the email & text message stating it would be redelivered today between 6am-10pm obviously nonsense too! Let's hope tomorrow I ACTUALLY receive my parcel. What a horrendous company and website . It's impossible to leave a complaint. If there was a "0" that's what they'd be getting!

One star would be classed as exceedingly complimentary for this utter shambolic excuse of a courier service. Have attempted to email customer enquiries to be informed that the email is undeliverable, sort of akin to my parcel it would appear. The telephone line is simply an automated message repeating the incorrect information supplied on the "Track my Parcel" app. I had some Gorilla in a white van photographing my home, walking over the lawn shouting that he couldn't locate my parcel and it must be in his mates van, but not to worry as he'd ensure that it would be delivered. Moments prrior to this event I received and email informing me that they couldn't deliver as no one has home and that a calling card hard been left, needless to say I was not in receipt of any card. DPD you should be ashamed with this standard of service, and I use the term service extremely loosely!!!

The worst delivery service I have ever dealt with. 2 items had the same issue. Waited in all day for 2 different items in 2 different days. ALL DAY which I took off of work. Same excuse, misplaced in warehouse. When delivered they did not wait for me to answer the door but left at entrance. The worst company. When using this through Amazon again will not wait in for them.

I went to collect a parcel from you depo in Bicester last night and was told I didn’t have enough id. A lady then said to me its fine if he answers some questions which I did they then went to get my parcel and told me the parcel is not back yet from the van and to come at 10.am. I arrived and they point black refused to help as I only had the id I had the previous day. I then questioned why I was told this and the lady was rude and said your not having the parcel sorry. I said why was I told this she said I don’t know it was not me that told you. I then said can I speak to a manager she said no there busy in meetings and then shut the door in my face. why was allowed my parcel the day before and then not on the next day. you should all have the same rules.

Driver left our parcel out in the rain and the products were completely damaged. £235 worth of products to be exact. Was told to put a claim in and the driver called at our customers and basically called them liars. Unfortunately for the driver the event was captured on CCTV so his swiftly altered his story. I presented the evidence and claim form and DPD Local BAC's over £12 compensation (about the same as the cost for the delivery) even though the driver didn't get a signature as required with the service used they limit the compensation to this £12 per KG. I would have been better sending by Royal Mail 1st Class. To top is off we then get a phone call saying we don't send enough parcels so they are putting our prices up to £18 for one parcel from around £6. Looking at the other review i shouldn't be surprised, shocking service followed up by no customer services. Will be advising my large network of business friends not to use DPD Local in future

Update from the original review from end 2016 (unbelievably the service is getting worse) I am at a total loss for words... I will do my best to explain what has happened this evening and then proceed to publish this experience on as many customer feedback websites as I can possible find. I would like confirmation that this gentleman will not ever deliver (or fail to deliver) to my flat again as I no longer feel safe in my own home. I have paid for my much needed stock to be delivered next day and I receive an email confirmation stating it will be delivered 14:07 - 15:07. Just after this delivery window expires I check the DPD tracker again and it is now stating delivery will be 06:00 - 22:00. When this happens it usually means that my local Lambeth DPD office have no intention to deliver. As this has happened many times before I immediately ask the sender of the parcels to start chasing the delivery from there side as well as I really need them today as paid for and I also copy in DPD in the hope that they would take some pride in their service and try to get the delivery to me today. I hear nothing. Then at 20:07 I get a call from a delivery driver saying his van is at the main concierge desk and I have to come down to him to collect my parcels immediately 'or else I'm not going to get them'. I was still working at this time and had a client in my office with me as this call was taking place. I explained this to him and and asked again if he could please bring the parcels to my flat as I have paid for. He immediately escalated in a very aggressive manner calling me a 'stuck up fucking bitch' repeatedly and insinuating that I may not be safe in my own home as 'he knows where I live'. I asked for his name again and again and he has refused to give it to me and then begged him to wait at the main concierge desk as I desperately need my stock. I apologised profusely to my client who has had to listen to his screaming and swearing at me from my phone and ran down to the concierge. Again I've asked if he can bring the parcels to my flat as this is what I have paid for and again he started the insults this time including racist comments, insulting my weight (my bmi is a very healthy 23.8) and swearing at me in such an aggressive manner that I didn't feel at all safe and the police were called. The police call reference number is ****. After asking many times for the gentlemans name and with much persuasion from the concierge he eventually gave me a name of Imran Ahmed although I have no idea if he was telling the truth. He was not wearing the usual DPD uniform. I have passed the parcel number along with the phone number he called me on to the police who have just left me now in a state of complete shock and fearful of leaving my own home on my own. I have paid for failed delivery after failed delivery from DPD Lambeth since the end of last year. I have now been insulted, threatened and racially abused in my own home. I am lost for words that I am paying for this treatment. I am also losing clients and hence my income from the repeated failed deliveries. My client was so shocked to hear his screaming and swearing from my phone I'll be surprised if I ever see her again. How am I supposed to pay my rent? This is so wrong in so many ways. DPD I would appreciate a response for this repeated failure to complete the task you are paid to complete. I would appreciate assurances that this delivery driver will be immediately removed from this route and a route delivering to any female as being threatened, sworn at and racially insulted is frightening at best when you are a female at home alone. Original review: I've paid for for next day delivery of 2 parcels to arrive on Friday. My Driver Paul has both parcels. He drops 1 parcel with the concierge (he can never be bothered to bring parcels to my flat) as paid for and can't be bothered to take the other off the van so he sends me a message saying there was no one in to receive the parcel (I was in and the concierge is there 24 hours a day). He also sends a picture of a random door that is nothing to do with where I live and an obvious lie. He has delivered 1 of 2 parcels paid for and is too lazy to get the 2nd off the van. After a lot of back and fourth with customer service I am promised my delivery will arrive the following day. It is now the end of the following day and I am still without my parcel. Apparently it will now be Monday. Once again I have been lied to by DPD. I have experienced this repeatedly and complained repeatedly since November and we are now mid February. I am constantly fed a stream of lies by DPD who seem to think this level of service is acceptable. I can understand an odd mistake here and there but this is 1 delivery driver (Paul in Vauxhall London) regularly making up false reasons why he has not delivered a parcel. He has done the same with a number of parcels for my partner at the same address containing thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment after he has paid for a 1 hour delivery slot on a Saturday. Paul uses 2 lies repeatedly, that there was no one in (there always is) or that he couldn't find the address (he knows exactly where we are I see him here on an almost daily basis). Even more worrying is that DPD appear to think that feeding paying customers repeated lies is an acceptable form of service. It absolutely is not. I cannot advise against using this company in any stronger way.

DPD have provided a shocking service to me. The driver has committed what I consider to be an absolutely disgraceful service. Not even putting a calling card through my letter box and taking a picture of a different house not even on my road. When I called customer services surprisingly they could not help. I would never use DPD again and will not be shopping on amazon if they insist on using a company who blatantly lie that they have attempted delivery.
