DPD local driver in Merthyr - hope you’re happy with your haul of goods you’ve had. I’ve heard from lots of people who’ve had items go missing over Christmas. My item was due to arrive on the 19th December. It never came - I received a notification to say that my request to change my address had been accepted yet I never requested an address change. The change to the address was the same as the delivery address originally given and the parcel would now be delivered on the 20th. Waited in again on the 20th and kept tracking my parcel. It didn’t arrive during the time slot given but the tracking said that I was next so I stayed on the doorstep and waited. No DPD local delivery van came. I then received a notification to say that the delivery couldn’t be made as my address was incomplete!!! I now had the option for the parcel to be delivered to our local Matalan store so I chose that. Had an email to say that the parcel would be available from the 21st... and now the parcel has gone missing. The sender has requested a parcel search (I tried to contact DPD but as their customer service is so atrocious I couldn’t get in touch with anyone!!!) and I’ve been told it can take up to 7 days to complete a parcel search. I could tell them in less than a minute where my parcel is... still on the back of the delivery drivers van waiting for a post Christmas boot sale or sat under their Christmas tree wrapped up as a gift!!! Cheers DPD local for your AWFUL customer service!

Everything went wrong... missed the day of delivery because parcel was ‘misdirected’, I received no one hour delivery slot, it was eventually sent to the wrong address and person, customer service was appalling and unhelpful, the driver was sent to retrieve it, and he advised me that at least 5 other packages that day had been misdirected to wrong addresses that he needed to retrieve and re-deliver. Dreadful experience.

3 failed collection times and dates, lies from DPD about their failed attempts. Said I wasn't in, parcel not ready for collection etc

Got a very unhappy child here been waiting for her phone since the 13th hope the driver is happy with his new phone or the cash he as made from it I will never use them NOT TO BE TRUSTED

For three attempts I have waited for DPD to arrive an uplift a package. Three days waiting for a courier who doesn't arrive. One of the worst courier companies out there.

My order for fresh poultry and meat was supposed to be delivered today. I received a message this morning saying the one hour time slot would be between 11am and 12pm. The DPD app, on my iPhone confirmed this time until 11.45 when it said that I would be the next delivery and the tracking map on the app had the driver located about a mile from my house. Great, as I was due to go out for lunch at 12.30am. 12pm came and the parcel had not been delivered. I checked the app again to be informed that the parcel could not be delivered today due to 'bad weather'. The vehicle was - apparently a mile away from me a quarter of an hour ago and the weather was drizzly and grey, which is pretty much normal for the UK in December. No snow - no ice - just a lie or an excuse - I imagine the food for my Christmas dinner is sat in their Birmingham depot! I shall in future avoid on-line purchases from companies which use this company. Guess it's a case of you get what you pay for, but personally I'd prefer to pay extra for a competent courier.

NEVER ever use dpd my £65 fresh Christmas hamper should of been delivered on the 20th from my lovely butchers today it was taken to a food parcel destroyed center with no reason why just to point out they had my fresh parcel was taken back to the depot 3 times left where mice or anything could get to it I am reporting this company because no way should these people be allowed to do this to fresh produce or any other type of parcels its a joke and they should not be able to operate like this fumeing I am I will stay away from any company that uses these people.my fresh parcel contained my turkey ect so this is why I'm so mad

Deliveryman Keith is an anti-social, grumpy, aggressive scum. If you see that your order will be delivered by dpd just cancel it and ask for a different company asap!

Ordered an item from Amazon on a 1 day delivery for a present for my wife. I have finally picked up the present from a delivery drop of shop 4 days after the item was ordered, hence had to go out and buy another gift for wife. Do not use DPD as your courier , they are a sham and if i could have given them zero stars I would of. All you get when you ring them is a 30+ minute wait to hear how sorry they are and they would look into. I suppose this is waht you get when you employ idiots who get paid idiot wages..........

Sat in all day waiting for 2 deliveries from this company, got a message about one saying they had been but no one home (?) so left a card! What a joke, we were here all day having double glazing fitted on the front of the house where the delivery man apparently couldn't make anyone hear!! Not only must he be invisible but his cards are too, absolutely disgusting that they lie when they are obviously not even trying to deliver. I am currently waiting for my other delivery and it is now 6.45 pm but shan't be holding my breath.

Totally sh*t service and lies lies lies. Requested pickup at local sainsburys who were apparently not in?? not once but twice even though well within opening hours. Obviously ran late and couldn't be bother to stop.

DPD is probably the worst delivery service in UK. There's not a single time a parcel is sent to me by DPD without issues! Their driver never finds the address, they lie, saying they knock the door, they don't call you to see if you are home. I have a parcel to be delivered today, I stayed home specifically waiting for the parcel! No one called me, on their website it says the Driver couldn't find my address, whereas if I put the address on google maps, there's no mistake!!! I tried calling them and waited on the line for 34 minutes, no one answered the phone!! I had to finish the call as I couldn't wait anymore! If I could, I'd avoid this service at all cost!

I am not use to leave bad review but with this company I will make an exception. Every times that I have to receive a parcel from this company is a completely mess. Today, the driver has not ringed the bell of my door although on the website is showing a picture of my address. Moreover, if you try to contact their call centre you have to wait on line at least a hour before someone pick up the phone even if the automatic voice mail is telling you that the waiting time is around 5 minutes. This company is very bad. I wish that next packages will be delivered by other companies.

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. I am absolutely disgusted with the service (or lack of it) from DPD. I booked and paid for collection and next day delivery with additional insurance yesterday for a really urgent item that I needed delivering in time for Christmas as due to illness I was not able to deliver it to the recipient in person. It cost me over £ 30.00 to do this but the pick up never happened. I contacted DPD today who told me that pick ups and deliveries are not guaranteed and my only option was to re-book the pick up for today. I asked if they would refund the difference between standard and next day delivery as they didn't provide next day delivery and they said no the didn't do this. At this point the online agent just stopped typing any further info and after several minutes, the only option was for me to manually re-book a pick up for today. I am astounded that this company can get away with this terrible level of service. Surely it is against trading laws to charge for a service that you don't deliver?

Apparently usual excuse of the driver could not find my address on two consecutive days. Spent money on payed phone line only to be told lies by the handler saying that the parcel would be redelivered and the driver would call me on my mobile. Eventually picked up the parcel from the depot, of the 6 people waiting 4 had the same tale of driver could not find address. Basically its easier not to deliver than deliver late, company could not find its own A**E if it used both hands.

on 2 occasions waiting at home -off work to be sent a text saying no one was at home!!!!- had to waste 2 hours to collect my parcel myself. when checked looked like the driver took a photo of the outer gate and disappeared no effort to call,ring, or knock on the door!!!!! completely unreliable

They only get one star because of a lack of alternatives, they seem incapable of delivering within the timescale they advertise and make up stupid excuses to justify their failures. Will tell anybody who asks never to use this service
