DPD have failed to deliver to my address on 4 separate occasions - twice I had to pick up the package at a local shop, and twice I just gave up. Granted the address is quite tricky, but they have made no attempt to learn. The only reason I still get deliveries from them is that some companies insist on using them - for insurance reasons apparently. Awful customer services on top of the awful service.

Awful. They send you a message saying they will deliver your parcel on a given day. They offer you the ability to have it delivered to a safe place or a neighbour etc.....then completely disregard it. Same parcel, notified them to leave with neighbour twice and to deliver to a shop all completely ignored. Useless.

I would have reviewed this company with no stars but that option was not available! Utterly ridiculous customer service I have received. Delivery was schedule on Friday, text message received with 1 hour time slot. Another message received shortly after stating delivery was attempted but no one was there to sign for it. In fact no delivery attempt was made as I was at the delivery address all day. After finally getting through to someone at customer service (40 mins on hold), I was told that the driver would return and deliver my items as he only "just missed me". No delivery attempt and no call to explain anything. I then had to call up again and was told by the customer service agent that the driver was now too busy and could not redeliver. After finally speaking to a supervisor I was told that there is nothing that could be done and that re-delivery for another day was the only option. I had no choice but to take this option. I explained multiple times that I would like the driver to call me when he re-attempted the delivery (as I did not believe that he attempted it in the 1st place) and that I did not want this issue arising again. To my disbelief the same thing has now happened again and I have been told that I need to go and pick up my item! Cannot believe that this company operates in this way and this is the worst service I have received from a delivery company to date. I would avoid using their services at all costs.

I was waiting for an Amazon parcel from today morning, continuously tracking it in DPD website and right at the door of my delivery address starting the one hour time slot and all of a sudden the status changed to 'Return to consignor'! All I saw was the white and blue DPD van pass by two times without even stopping anywhere near. Then I'm on phone waiting 15 mins to talk to someone and they say the driver (Ivan) attempted to deliver and security did not accept!! There is no such security in this building and the names given are all wrong. Such a pathetic service from DPD. They have even returned the item back. I'll definitely raise with Amazon, but this was a special item requested for next day delivery. Keep away from DPD if you want your item on time.

Twice in a previous parish the driver attempted a delivery to my church rather than the house next door as if he thinks priests live in church! I complained to pdp about it. Two years later and now in a completely different parish, I have had the same experience. The first attempted delivery was yesterday and I complained but it obviously made no difference because the driver did exactly the same thing today. I would never use pdp.

The dpd lost my luggage 4 months ago, and they keep saying that they will get back to me. I can't beleive a company can work like that, bunch of criminals.

I wanted to share my experience with you guys on Reviews.co.uk, so hopefully fewer people will make the same error I did by using DPD in the future. It has been the most unnecessarily stressful customer experience I've ever had, and could so easily have been avoided by DPD. If I could give zero stars, I would. To go right back to the beginning:- - I posted a parcel via DPD's Drop-off point in Halfords in Newcastle upon Tyne on 21/06/17 - I actually tried to drop-off on the 20/06/17, but the DPD scanning equipment was broken, so had to make 2 trips… extremely inconvenient, and an omen of what was to come as it turns out. - It took 2 days to move from Halfords, which in itself is really poor. I paid £13.46 for next day delivery. - They made an “attempt” to deliver to the address on 27/06/17, however the client was in all day, and DPD left no card… so whether it happened is up for debate. The standard of the service since this date, coupled many other reviews on here, lead me to believe that no attempt was made. - They made no more attempts to deliver, and instead claim that “a return to consignor” had been requested. No request was made by me. - This return was done within 2 days of the only “delivery attempt”. - I emailed DPD on the 6th / 7th / 8th / 9th / 10th / 11th / 12th and 13th July trying to get to the bottom of what had gone on. - Because they force people to email, as their phone system just relays tracking details rather than being able to speak to someone, I’ve dealt with more than 15 different people there, including their Director of Customer Experience, Sinead Croke, few of whom appeared aware of anything that other colleagues had said. - The parcel ended up sat in their Southall depot from 5th July, and I can only assume it had been there on days previously as well. - Southall was only 16 miles from the London delivery address that it needed to be at. - I resupplied the original delivery address to 3 people at DPD, telling them that I had not requested a return, and the package just needed to be delivered the original London address. - They had every opportunity to put this right. I’d been in constant contact with them since the 7th July, and they ignored my repeated requests. - The upshot was because they ignored my requests, the parcel moved to their Smethwick branch near Birmingham. I’m based near Newcastle upon Tyne. - After a number of days, where some people at DPD thought the parcel had been collected, but not by me, and others thought it had been lost, they eventually tracked it down to their lost property department. - They finally arranged for redelivery on the 18th July and delivered on the 19th July - a full 28 DAYS after it has been posted on a NEXT DAY DELIVERY service. - All's well that end's well you'd think. With DPD? Of course not. - After the parcel had bounced around for 28 days in various depots up and down the country, of course the item was ruined and unusable. - The package was part of a 2 item delivery to the customer, so I'll have to refund him on both parts, to a tune of nearly £200. Despite the numerous emails with a variety of different people, up to Director level, DPD have still tried to palm me off, even after what they admit themselves is a terrible situation. £200 to an organisation like DPD is nothing - they could really easily have made things right as a gesture of goodwill, as I do appreciate accidents can happen, but instead they've tried to palm me off to Parcel Hero, who the delivery was booked through, in order to waste more of my time and stall paying out anything to me. I am absolutely flabbergasted by the ineptitude that I’ve experienced. I’m a sole trader and the hours that I’ve spent over the last month and the 60+ emails that I’ve sent have been a huge drain on my resources. DPD have cost me hundreds of pounds in wasted time, not to mention the customer refund I'm going to have to make. I encourage people not to make the same mistake I did. All the best

I ordered some lush soaps and paid £6 for next day delivery which was refunded because dos driver was just carding houses all day, this means he wasn't doing he's job!!!.. He was made by the depot to go out again and am waiting for the delivery now. It's 3 days late the customer service live chat was awefull with only 2 advisors being good Georgia and Kieran .. I doubt honorata rude and unhelpful. I've lost 3 days pay and will never buy from lush or ever use DPD again. A delivery company should hire people who actually deliver parcels and not be dishonest retards.

This company must go out of its way to employ the biggest morons they can find to drive their vans. I continually have problems with them both professionally and personally. They are either liars who claim to have tried to deliver when they clearly haven't (don't want to get out in the rain probably) or just extremely stupid and can't read road names and numbers. If I got off on waiting around wasting my time for someone who never turns up, then all well and good. I don't. 'Customer services' - who you have to go the long way round to actually speak to a real person - are equally unhelpful. There's never anything they can do to rectify and 'your complaint has been noted'. Oh has it really - then why the continued rubbish service? I would never choose to use them to deliver my goods; it stumps me why anyone else would.

Earlier this month I had an excruciating experience that involved the driver missing his delivery at the agreed time for 2 days in a row (while I wasted my time waiting at home), me having to call DPD 4 times (20 minute waits to get through every time), and an email exchange with Customer Services who didn't even offer compensation. In the end I just gave up. Then a week later the parcel was delivered (at night like after 8pm) without any explanation for the delay. Comical, if it wasn't true.

Given delivery slot and tracking information. Watched tracker somewhat bemused as the driver went a peculiar route round my neighbourhood. When he got to item 20, I was 30, tracker proclaimed that the driver had called at my address and no one was present and left a calling card. Lie and Lie. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I can't even give DPD 1 star . Service is too shocking for any words or symbols. I booked a collection through TransGlobal Express for DHL but somehow ended up with DPD for them to collect a parcel to send to South Africa. They didnt pitch , some blatant lie that nobody was home. Rebooked , didn't pitch again, rebooked to collect and was promised by Rachel in the CS that she has given my contact number to the driver and he will call to assure collection. Guess what, nobody called and nobody pitched . I am now trying to get a refund. Another story to be told. I am disgusted and absolutely appalled by their lack of service. They promise to revert back to your email within 90 minutes. Well it takes nothing short of 24 hours before you hear back from them with another load of lies. They should be struck off from the Courier industry .

AFTER ONE! I don't know how many times I've told DPD if they could deliver parcels to my shop after one but it is a constant struggle chasing deliveries. I really don't want to waist my time calling distributors and DPD chasing things up. A delivery which was meant to be with me this passed Friday for the weekends sales is still not with me almost a week later. Apparently they have attempted delivery twice, only one text message was sent, I replied to it requesting delivery after one only for the driver to then forget to deliver. No missed delivery slip was left either time. I only found out about the attempted deliveries by calling the distributor who then informed me DPD were going to deliver the next day, which they didn't. Shocking service. The customer service is terrible too. Would it really be that much of an imposition to talk to an actual human rather than a robot?

rubbish, 5 times I have called 4 times I got the phone put down on me, DPD says press 0 to get put through to your local depot, yet the people who answer the phone are at home taking our personal information (DATA PROTECTION) who's to say they are not writing it down on their notepad

waited for delivery and the tracking is excellent i knew exactlly when to expect my parcel, so i waited in for it to watch the driver walk up to my door to post a card. no knock what so ever i went out only to be shouted at by the driver. my doorbell works so no excuse i was 10 feet away from the door. DPD may have the best tracking information but this driver was terrible and the customer service team is a joke

this is the worst service I have ever encountered, I was waiting on a chimney hood to be delivered by dpd, the most obnoxious person refused point blank to let me check the item before I signed for it, his response was you can check it once it has been signed for, he then went on to say if its damaged then you can can take it up with company you bought it from, when I took the parcel from him and shut my front door, all the neighbours heard him shouting and calling me obscene names, so the upshot is that the company I bought it from has lost a big sale from me due to new kitchen appliances being purchased for using an abusive company that thinks its ok to abuse customers,

If wish it was 0 rating I would have rate them. Apparently they supposed to deliver my package on Friday, but they manage to send wrong depot means they clearly didn't delivered on fri. I called customer service she said there was mistake from them so they will deliver on sat before 2.00pm. I called to to make sure they coming and they told me it's in Birmingham.my £700 worth phone in there and they telling me nothing they can do about it . They will update your status tonight. This is ridiculous. Try to avoid using this DPD . Otherwise u will die in frustration. Believe me.
